Impact of COVID-19 on G20 countries:analysis of economic recession using data mining approaches

The G20 countries are the locomotives of economic growth,representing 64%of the global population and including 4.7 billion *** a monetary and market value index,real gross domestic product(GDP)is affected by several factors and reflects the economic development of *** study aimed to reveal the hidden economic patterns of G20 countries,study the complexity of related economic factors,and analyze the economic reactions taken by policymakers during the coronavirus disease of 2019(COVID-19)pandemic recession(2019–2020).In this respect,this study employed data-mining techniques of nonparametric classification tree and hierarchical clustering approaches to consider factors such as GDP/capita,industrial production,government spending,COVID-19 cases/population,patient recovery,COVID-19 death cases,number of hospital beds/1000 people,and percentage of the vaccinated population to identify clusters for G20 *** clustering approach can help policymakers measure economic indices in terms of the factors considered to identify the specific focus of influences on economic *** results exhibited significant findings for the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on G20 countries,splitting them into three clusters by sharing different measurements and patterns(harmonies and variances across G20 countries).A comprehensive statistical analysis was performed to analyze endogenous and exogenous ***,the classification and regression tree method was applied to predict the associations between the response and independent factors to split the G-20 countries into different groups and analyze the economic *** such as GDP per capita and patient recovery of COVID-19 cases with values of$12,012 and 82.8%,respectively,were the most significant factors for clustering the G20 countries,with a correlation coefficient(R2)of 91.8%.The results and findings offer some crucial recommendations to handle pandemics in terms of the

Lactic Acid Bacteria(LAB)from different niches can be responsible for the production of distinct exopolysaccharides(EPS)that might possess important structural and technological *** this respect,the aim of this study was to isolate an EPS producer LAB strain from bee pollen *** mesenteroides BI-20 with a slimy-mucoid colony morphology was identified from bee pollen and the structural,technological and functional characteristics of EPS produced by this strain were *** BI-20 was a highly branched dextran containing 20%(1→3)-linked α-D-glucose branches determined by ^(1)H and ^(13)C NMR *** presence of(1→6)/(1→3)-linkedα-D-glucose linkages in dextran BI-20 was also confirmed by FTIR *** BI-20,with a molecular weight of 1×10^(8) Da,possessed strong thermal properties,amorphous nature and highly branched and fibrous microstructural characteristics determined by DSC,TGA,XRD and SEM analysis,*** terms of functional roles,dextran BI-20 demonstrated strong antioxidant capacity detected by ABTS and CUPRAC ***,no digestion was observed in dextran BI-20 under simulated gastric *** of this study unveiled techno-functional characteristics of dextran BI-20 produced by a bee pollen isolate LAB strain.

In vitro effect of pantoprazole on lower esophageal sphincter tone in rats

AIM:To investigate the in vitro effects of pantoprazole on rat lower esophageal sphincter(LES)***:Rats weighing 250-300 g,provided by the yeditepe University Experimental Research Center(yü-DETAM),were used throughout the *** were anesthetized before *** tissues whose mucosal lining were removed were placed in a stan-dard 30-mL organ bath with a modif ied Krebs solution and continuously aerated with 95% oxygen-5% carbon dioxide gas mixture and kept at room *** tissues were allowed to stabilize for 60 ***-sequently,the contractile response to 10-6 mol/L carba-chol was *** concentrations of freshly prepared pantoprazole were added directly to the tis-sue bath to generate cumulative concentrations of 5×10-6 mol/L,5×10-5 mol/L,and 1.5×10-4 mol/***-ties were recorded on an online computer via a 4-channeltransducer data acquisition system using the software BSL PRO v 3.7,which also analyzed the ***:Pantoprazole at 5×10-6 mol/L caused a small,but statistically insignif icant,relaxation in the car-bachol-contracted LES(2.23% vs 3.95%).The 5×10-5 mol/L concentration,however,caused a signif icant relax-ation of 10.47% compared with the control.1.5×10-4 mol/L concentration of pantoprazol caused a 19.89% relaxation in the carbachol contracted LES(Py to demonstrate that pantoprazole has a relaxing effect in isolated *** results might have signif icant clinical implications for the subset of patients using proton pump inhibitors who do not receive full symptomatic alleviation from gastroesophageal reflux disease.
