Energy Efficiency Trade-off with Spectral Efficiency in MIMO Systems

5G technology can greatly improve spectral efficiency(SE)and throughput of wireless communications.In this regard,multiple inputmultiple output(MIMO)technology has become the most influential technology using huge antennas and user equipment(UE).However,the use of MIMO in 5G wireless technology will increase circuit power consumption and reduce energy efficiency(EE).In this regard,this article proposes an optimal solution for weighing SE and throughput tradeoff with energy efficiency.The research work is based on theWyner model of uplink(UL)and downlink(DL)transmission under the multi-cell model scenario.The SE-EE trade-off is carried out by optimizing the choice of antenna and UEs,while the approximation method based on the logarithmic function is used for optimization.In this paper,we analyzed the combination of UL and DL power consumption models and precoding schemes for all actual circuit power consumption models to optimize the trade-off between EE and throughput.The simulation results show that the SE-EE trade-off has been significantly improved by developing UL and DL transmission models with the approximation method based on logarithmic functions.It is also recognized that the throughput-EE trade-off can be improved by knowing the total actual power consumed by the entire network.

Performance and Capacity Planning of NGN

There have been various emerging trends in the deployment of telecom networks recently. Due to liberalization and technological advancements a common core network for voice and data based on MPLS has been implemented by Telecom service providers. By offering a variety of data and multimedia services, the revenue generating process can also be maximized. The economic and regulation trends also have to be synchronized for the proper and step by step replacement of traditional network by NGN. The current flow is to provide users with multitude of services thus meeting their high demands and enhancing revenues for network operators. Class 5 and Class 4 are our legacy circuit switches based upon TDM to transport voice. For handling control functions, call setup and teardown SS7 signaling was used. The traditional network was designed to support voice services only not being able to meet customers’ demands who require a variety of services at an optimum cost. The aim of this work is to present the role of NGN encompassing the telecom network, architecture and technologies. Also it has emerged as a new platform to decrease the CAPEX and OPEX of overall network infrastructure and to maximize their revenues. In this paper, we present an upcoming architecture for the transition to NGN which is future proof for going through the migration phase along with the capacity and planning of our network.

Cervical cancer situation in Malaysia:A systematic literature review

Cervix cancer is one of Malaysia’s most significant cancers for women(around 12.9%,with an age-standardised incidence rate of 19.7 per 100,000).It was higher than other Asian,West,and even worldwide nations.The National Strategic Plan for Cancer Control Program 2016–2020(Health Ministry)was presented to minimize cancer and mortality.The high incidence of cervical cancer in Malaysia is mainly due to women’s insufficient knowledge about its prevention and importance.Compared with traditional literature reviews,the systemic analysis provides many advantages.A clearer review process,a more prominent field of study,and essential priorities that can manage research bias can all help to enhance these reviews.However,better integration,cooperation,and coordination between government and private sector as well as NGOs and professional organisations are essential for optimal cancer control and treatment across the country.

Cervical cancer is a prevalent and deadly cancer that affects women all over the world.It affects about 0.5 million women anually and results in over 0.3 million fatalities.Diagnosis of this cancer was previously done manually,which could result in false positives or negatives.The researchers are still contemplating how to detect cervical cancer automatically and how to evaluate Pap smear images.Hence,this paper has reviewed several detection methods from the previous researches that has been done before.This paper reviews pre-processing,detection method framework for nucleus detection,and analysis performance of the method selected.There are four methods based on a reviewed technique from previous studies that have been running through the experimental procedure using Matlab,and the dataset used is established Herlev Dataset.The results show that the highest performance assessment metric values obtain from Method 1:Thresholding and Trace region boundaries in a binary image with the values of precision 1.0,sensitivity 98.77%,speciﬁcity 98.76%,accuracy 98.77%and PSNR 25.74%for a single type of cell.Meanwhile,the average values of precision were 0.99,sensitivity 90.71%,speciﬁcity 96.55%,accuracy 92.91%and PSNR 16.22%.The experimental results are then compared to the existing methods from previous studies.They show that the improvement method is able to detect the nucleus of the cell with higher performance assessment values.On the other hand,the majority of current approaches can be used with either a single or a large number of cervical cancer smear images.This study might persuade other researchers to recognize the value of some of the existing detection techniques and offer a strong approach for developing and implementing new solutions.
