Efficient ECG classification based on Chi-square distance for arrhythmia

This study introduces a new classifier tailored to address the limitations inherent in conventional classifiers such as K-nearest neighbor(KNN),random forest(RF),decision tree(DT),and support vector machine(SVm)for arrhythmia detection.The proposed classifier leverages the Chi-square distance as a primary metric,providing a specialized and original approach for precise arrhythmia detection.To optimize feature selection and refine the classifier’s performance,particle swarm optimization(PSO)is integrated with the Chi-square distance as a fitness function.This synergistic integration enhances the classifier’s capabilities,resulting in a substantial improvement in accuracy for arrhythmia detection.Experimental results demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed method,achieving a noteworthy accuracy rate of 98% with PSO,higher than 89% achieved without any previous optimization.The classifier outperforms machine learning(mL)and deep learning(DL)techniques,underscoring its reliability and superiority in the realm of arrhythmia classification.The promising results render it an effective method to support both academic and medical communities,offering an advanced and precise solution for arrhythmia detection in electrocardiogram(ECG)data.

In the cloud environment,ensuring a high level of data security is in high demand.Data planning storage optimization is part of the whole security process in the cloud environment.It enables data security by avoiding the risk of data loss and data overlapping.The development of data flow scheduling approaches in the cloud environment taking security parameters into account is insufficient.In our work,we propose a data scheduling model for the cloud environment.Themodel is made up of three parts that together help dispatch user data flow to the appropriate cloudVms.The first component is the Collector Agent whichmust periodically collect information on the state of the network links.The second one is the monitoring agent which must then analyze,classify,and make a decision on the state of the link and finally transmit this information to the scheduler.The third one is the scheduler who must consider previous information to transfer user data,including fair distribution and reliable paths.It should be noted that each part of the proposedmodel requires the development of its algorithms.In this article,we are interested in the development of data transfer algorithms,including fairness distribution with the consideration of a stable link state.These algorithms are based on the grouping of transmitted files and the iterative method.The proposed algorithms showthe performances to obtain an approximate solution to the studied problem which is an NP-hard(Non-Polynomial solution)problem.The experimental results show that the best algorithm is the half-grouped minimum excluding(HmE),with a percentage of 91.3%,an average deviation of 0.042,and an execution time of 0.001 s.

The wadi dahab delta is in a dry, arid coastal zone within Egypt’s south Sinai Peninsula’s eastern portion. The primary water source is the Quaternary coastal alluvial aquifer. The groundwater salinity varies from 890to 8213 mg/L, with a mean value of 3417 mg/L. The dissolved major ions have been used to calculate the seawater mixing index(SWmI) using a linear equation that discriminates the groundwater mostly affected by water–rock interaction(SWmI 1>) and other samples mixed with Seawater(SWmI mposition of groundwater for specifically chosen groundwater samples ranges from-0.645‰ to +5.212‰ for δ^(18)O and from-9.582‰ to + 22.778‰ for δ^(2)H, where the seawater represented by a Red Sea water sample(δ^(18)O + 1.64‰-δ^(2)H + 9.80‰) and reject brine water are considerably enriched the isotopic groundwater values. The geochemical NETPATH model constrained by the dissolved significant ions, isotopes, and the rock aquifer forming minerals as phases indicate the mixing percent with the seawater ranges from 9% to 97% of seawater from 91% to 3% of original recharge water. According to the SEAWAT 3-D flow models, seawater has penetrated the Northeastern Dahab delta aquifer, with the intrusion zone extending1500 m inland. The salt dissolution, upwelling of saline water, recharge from the upstream mountain block, and seawater encroachment are the primary aspects contributing to the deterioration of groundwater quality. These findings may have significance for effective groundwater withdrawal management in arid locations worldwide with similar hydrogeological systems.

Renal transplant patients receive several immunosuppressive drug regimens that are potentially nephrotoxic for treatment.Serum creatinine is the standard for monitoring kidney function;however,cystatin C(Cys C)and kidney injury molecule-1(KIm-1)have been found to indicate kidney injury earlier than serum creatinine and provide a better reflection of kidney function.Here,we assessed Cys C and KIm-1 serum levels in renal transplant patients receiving mycophenolate mofetil,tacrolimus,sirolimus,everolimus,or cyclosporine to evaluate kidney function.We used both the Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology Collaboration(CKD-EPI)2021 equation,which is based on creatinine and combined creatinine with Cys C,and the CKD-EPI 2012 equation,which is based on Cys C alone,to estimate glomerular filtration rate(GFR).Then,we assessed the association between serum KIm-1 and GFRmL per minute per 1.73 m2.We observed significantly higher serum Cys C levels in patients with the elevated serum creatinine,compared with those with normal serum creatinine.The estimated GFRs based on creatinine were significantly higher than those based on the other equations,while a significant positive correlation was observed among all equations.Serum KIm-1 levels were negatively correlated with the estimated GFRs by the CKD-EPI Cys C and the combined creatinine with Cys C equations.A serum KIm-1 level above 0.71 ng/mL is likely to indicate GFRmL per minute per 1.73 m2.We observed a significant correlation between serum creatinine and Cys C in our renal transplant patients.Therefore,serum KIm-1 may be used to monitor renal function when using potentially nephrotoxic drugs in renal transplants.

Himalayan glaciers are shrinking rapidly,especially after 2000.Glacier shrinkage,however,shows a differential pattern in space and time,emphasizing the need to monitor and assess glacier changes at a larger scale.In this study,changes of 48 glaciers situated around the twin peaks of the Nun and Kun mountains in the northwestern Himalaya,hereafter referred to as Nun-Kun Group of Glaciers(NKGG),were investigated using Landsat satellite data during 2000-2020.Changes in glacier area,snout position,Equilibrium Line altitude(ELA),surface thickness and glacier velocity were assessed using remote sensing data supplemented by field observations.The study revealed that the NKGG glaciers have experienced a recession of 4.5%±3.4%and their snouts have retreated at the rate of 6.4±1.6 m·a^(-1).Additionally,there was a 41%increase observed in the debris cover area during the observation period.Using the geodetic approach,an average glacier elevation change of-1.4±0.4 m·a^(-1)was observed between 2000 and 2012.The observed mass loss of the NKGG has resulted in the deceleration of glacier velocity from 27.0±3.7 m·a^(-1)in 2000 to 21.2±2.2 m·a^(-1)in 2020.The ELA has shifted upwards by 83.0±22 m during the period.Glacier morphological and topographic factors showed a strong influence on glacier recession.Furthermore,a higher recession of 12.9%±3.2%was observed in small glaciers,compared to 2.7%±3.1%in larger glaciers.The debris-covered glaciers showed lower shrinkage(2.8%±1.1%)compared to the clean glaciers(9.3%±5%).The glacier depletion recorded in the NKGG during the last two decades,if continued,would severely diminish glacial volume and capacity to store water,thus jeopardizing the sustainability of water resources in the basin.

This paper explores the potential of Longan peel waste（LPw） as a sustainable and cost-effective matrix for selenium-based cathodes in Li-Se and Na-Se batteries.Following activation,we created LP2—a designation for the carbon precursor derived from LPw,activated at a 1:2 ratio of carbonized LPw to KOH.This nomenclature,where'LP' stands for 'Longan peel' and '2' reflects the optimization of this ratio,led to a hierarchical porous structure with an average pore size of 3.0307 nm and a significant BET surface area of 111.9386 m2g-1Selenium was incorporated into the LP2matrix using a simple melt diffusion technique,yielding the composite Se@LP2.In Li-Se batteries,Se@LP2exhibited an initial discharge capacity of 1033.75 mAh g-1at 0.1C.At a 1C rate,the composite demonstrated a capacity retention of 301.14 mAh g-1after 550 cycles and 380.91 mAh g-1after 100 cycles.moreover,for Na-Se batteries,the composite showcased a capacity retention of 347.18 mAh g-1after 100 cycles at0.1C.These findings underscore LP2's potential as a viable and efficient matrix for selenium-based cathodes,revealing promising prospects for the advancement of highly efficient Li-Se and Na-Se batteries.

Stress is a normal reaction of the human organism which triggered in situations that require a certain level of activation.This reaction has both positive and negative effects on everyone’s life.Therefore,stress management is of vital importance in maintaining the psychological balance of a person.Thermal-based imaging technique is becoming popular among researchers due to its non-contact conductive nature.moreover,thermal-based imaging has shown promising results in detecting stress in a non-contact and non-invasive manner.Compared to other non-contact stress detection methods such as pupil dilation,keystroke behavior,social media interaction and voice modulation,thermal-based imaging provides better features with clear boundaries and requires no heavy methodology.This paper presented a brief review of previous work on thermal imaging related stress detection in humans.This paper also presented the stages of stress detection based on thermal face signatures such as dataset type,thermal image face detection,feature descriptors and classification performance comparisons are presented.This paper can help future researchers to understand stress detection based on thermal imaging by presenting the popular methods previous researchers use for stress detection based on thermal images.

This study examines a recently hypothesized black hole,which is a perfect solution of metric-affine gravity with a positive cosmological constant,and its thermodynamic features as well as the Joule-Thomson expansion.We develop some thermodynamical quantities,such as volume,Gibbs free energy,and heat capacity,using the entropy and Hawking temperature.We also examine the first law of thermodynamics and thermal fluctuations,which might eliminate certain black hole instabilities.In this regard,a phase transition from unstable to stable is conceivable when the first law order corrections are present.In addition,we study the efficiency of this system as a heat engine and the effect of metric-affine gravity for the physical parameters q_(e),q_(m),κ_(s),κ_(d),and κ_(sh).Further,we study the Joule-Thomson coefficient and inversion temperature,and observe the isenthalpic curves in the Ti−Pi plane.In metric-affine gravity,a comparison is made between a van der Waals fluid and a black hole to study their similarities and differences.

In this paper,the effects of thermal radiation and viscous dissipation on the stagnation–point flow of a micropolar fluid over a permeable stretching sheet with suction and injection are analyzed and discussed.A suitable similarity transformation is used to convert the governing nonlinear partial differential equations into a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations,which are then solved numerically by a fourth–order Runge–Kutta method.It is found that the linear fluid velocity decreases with the enhancement of the porosity,boundary,and suction parameters.Conversely,it increases with the micropolar and injection parameters.The angular velocity grows with the boundary,porosity,and suction parameters,whereas it is reduced if the micropolar and injection parameters become larger.It is concluded that the thermal boundary layer extension increases with the injection parameter and decreases with the suction parameter.
