Eurycoma longifolia Jack(***) is a well-recognized traditional herbal medicine that offers a wide dynamic range of biomedical applications including anti-osteoporotic, anticancer, anti-proliferative, anti-malarial, antimicrobial, antioxidant, aphrodisiac, antiinflammatory, anxiolytic, anti-diabetic, anti-rheumatism and anti-ulcer *** review aims to overview the pharmacokinetic and a pharmacodynamic algorithm of *** and its bioactive *** of pharmacokinetic profile revealed that *** exhibit higher bioavailability, high volume of distribution, slow elimination rate, and does not show inhibitory effects on cytochrome P450 *** has been used, alone or in combination with other pharmacological agents, in the form of crude extracts, standard extracts, or decoctions of different plant parts(i.e., herbs, shrubs, stem, leaves, and roots) for the treatment of various ailments in animals and *** various bioactive constituents, eurycomanone has been found to be the most remarkable, super-stable, versatile, and most potent phytochemical(isolated or extracted from root extracts) against various types of animals and human *** on its well-established pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic profiles, we suggested that *** can be a well-accepted complementary and alternative medicine for the treatment of different types of human ailments.

Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis(AIS)is a deformity of the spine that affects *** current method for detecting AIS is based on radiographic images which may increase the risk of cancer growth due to *** is another alternative used to identify AIS by distinguishing the curves of the spine from the surface of a human’s ***,detecting the curve of the spine is manually performed,making it a time-consuming *** overcome this issue,it is crucial to develop a better model that automatically detects the curve of the spine and classify the types of *** research proposes a new integration of ESNN and Feature Extraction(FE)methods and explores the architecture of ESNN for the AIS classification *** research identifies the optimal Feature Extraction(FE)methods to reduce computational *** ability of ESNN to provide a fast result with a simplicity and performance capability makes this model suitable to be implemented in a clinical setting where a quick result is crucial.A comparison between the conventional classifier(Support Vector Machine(SVM),Multi-layer Perceptron(MLP)and Random Forest(RF))with the proposed AIS model also be performed on a dataset collected by an orthopedic expert from Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia(HUKM).This dataset consists of various photogrammetry images of the human back with different types ofMalaysian AIS patients to solve the scoliosis *** process begins by pre-processing the images which includes resizing and converting the captured pictures to gray-scale *** is then followed by feature extraction,normalization,and *** experimental results indicate that the integration of LBP and ESNN achieves higher accuracy compared to the performance of multiple baseline state-of-the-art Machine Learning for AIS *** demonstrates the capability of ESNN in classifying the types of AIS based on photogrammetry images.

Electrical trees are an aging mechanismmost associated with partial discharge(PD)activities in crosslinked polyethylene(XLPE)insulation of high-voltage(HV)*** of electrical tree structures gained considerable attention from researchers since a deep understanding of the tree morphology is required to develop new insulation ***-dimensional(2D)optical microscopy is primarily used to examine tree structures and propagation shapes with image segmentation ***,since electrical trees can emerge in different shapes such as bush-type or branch-type,treeing images are complicated to segment due to manifestation of convoluted tree branches,leading to a high misclassification rate during ***,this study proposed a new method for segmenting 2D electrical tree images based on the multi-scale line tracking algorithm(MSLTA)by integrating batch processing *** proposed method,h-MSLTA aims to provide accurate segmentation of electrical tree images obtained over a period of tree propagation observation under optical *** initial phase involves XLPE sample preparation and treeing image acquisition under real-time microscopy *** treeing images are then sampled and binarized in *** the next phase,segmentation of tree structures is performed using the h-MSLTA by utilizing batch processing in multiple instances of treeing ***,the comparative investigation has been conducted using standard performance assessment metrics,including accuracy,sensitivity,specificity,Dice coefficient and Matthew’s correlation coefficient(MCC).Based on segmentation performance evaluation against several established segmentation methods,h-MSLTA achieved better results of 95.43%accuracy,97.28%specificity,69.43%sensitivity rate with 23.38%and 24.16%average improvement in Dice coefficient and MCC score respectively over the original *** addition,h-MSLTA produced accurate measurement results of glo

The electronic band structure and optical parameters of SnMg_(2)o_(4) are investigated by the first-principles technique based on a new potential approximation known as modified Becke–Johnson(mBJ).The direct band gap values by LDA,GGA and EV-GGA are underestimated significantly as compared to mBJ-GGA,which generally provides the results comparable to the experimental ***,the present band gap value(4.85 eV)using mBJ-GGA is greatly enhanced to the previous value by EV-GGA(2.823 eV).The optical parametric quantities(dielectric constant,index of refraction,reflectivity,optical conductivity and absorption coefficient)relying on the band structure are presented and *** first critical point(optical absorption's edge)in SnMg_(2)o_(4) occurs at about 4.85 eV.A strong absorption region is observed,extending between 5.4 eV to 25.0 *** SnMg_(2)o_(4),static dielectric constantε1(0),static refractive index n(0),and the magnitude of the coefficient of reflectivity at zero frequency R(0)are 2.296,1.515 and 0.0419,*** optoelectronic properties indicate that this material can be successfully used in optical devices.

In this study,an integrated approach incorporating Remote Sensing(RS),Geographical Information System(GIS),local meteorological weather stations’data and NASA’s virtual meteorological stations’data were used to quantify Grain Amaranth(GA)water requirements in ***-Monieth method within CropWAT8 model and Surface Energy Balance Algorithm for Land(SEBAL)Model was used to quantify the *** Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI),daily spatial distribution of Evapotranspiration(ET),Land Surface Temperature(LST)and surface albedo were extracted from satellite *** ratio of effective rainfall(Pe)to Potential Evapotranspiration(PET)–(Pe/PET)and time series for NDVI were computed to determine the growth stage of GA in different *** GA water demand was the highest in Karamoja sub-region(467.5 mm/season)and the lowest in Tororo(174.1 mm/season).The growing season for GA in most areas of Uganda was from March to *** of evapotranspiration in Karamoja sub-region with SEBAL model corresponded to the NDVI extracted,especially for highly vegetated *** indicated that if GA was planted during the late September and early october in Karamoja sub-region,despite the decreasing moisture levels,the crop could have sufficient water supply during emergence to *** ability to utilize low available moisture levels makes GA a potential crop to bridge the gap(due to the elongated drought)for the food production cycle in Karamoja sub-region.

Background: The association between uric acid (UA) with metabolic syndrome (MS) has been researched more in adults than in adolescents. In fact, this association is not completely understood among adolescents. objectives: The purpose of this study was to explore the association between UA with MS. Methods: A cross-sectional sample of 742 Kuwaiti adolescents (303 males and 439 females) who were apparently healthy, chosen from randomly selected schools were used for the study;four intermediate (two males and two females) and four secondary (two males and two females) schools. Results: The results of the study showed the UA level was highly associated with MS, especially among males. UA was significantly associated with each of the six parameters of MS. Conclusions: The level of uric acid among the adolescent was high and it was significantly associated with MS and gender. Dietary interventions are necessary to reduce UA and the parameters of MS among the adolescents.

Time-frequency methods are effective tools in identifying the frequency content of a signal and revealing its timevariant *** paper presents the use of instantaneous features(i.e.,instantaneous energy and signal phase)of acoustic emission(AE)in the detection of thermal damage to the workpiece in *** low-order frequency moments of a scalogram are used to obtain both the instantaneous energy and the mean frequency at which the signal phase is *** grinding process is monitored using AE for a variety of operating conditions,including regular grinding,grinding at higher cutting speed and larger feed,and small dressing depth of *** instantaneous features extracted by the scalogram are compared with the results obtained by the empirical mode *** has been found that both the instantaneous energy and phase deviation indicate the presence of burn damage and serve as robust and reliable indicators,providing a basis for detecting the grinding burn.
