Genet.c and t.erapeut.c manipulat.ons t. increase egg product.on per cycle oft.n predispose birds t. obst.t.ic problems. Informat.on on t.e det.ct.on and management.t.chniques of reproduct.ve abnormalit.es of t.e domest.c chicken appear scarce. t.is st.dy report. on clinical evaluat.on and surgical management.of t.ree major reproduct.ve abnormalit.es of t.e commercial layer chickens. Egg yolk perit.nit.s, oviduct.impact.on and egg bound condit.ons were diagnosed and surgically managed following st.ndard surgical procedures. Palpat.on and abdominocent.esis using flexible rubber cat.et.r, abdomino-pelvic ult.asound scan and vent.a-dorsal X-ray t.chniques were used t. est.blish diagnosis. In all report.d condit.ons herein, surgery was employed t. correct.t.em. t.e st.dy showed values of diagnost.c imaging and surgery t. correct.ng obst.t.ic condit.ons of domest.c chickens.

Object.ve t. report.t.e prevalence and t.end of overweight.and obesit. among st.dent. aged 7-22 years in Jiangsu, 2010 t. 2013. Met.ods t.is cross-sect.onal st.dy was carried out.as part.of st.dent. physical fit.ess and healt. survey in Jiangsu province. A t.t.l of 255,581 subject. （50.03% males and 49.97% females） enrolled in 82 school and 10 universit.es in Jiangsu. Weight. and height. were obt.ined for each subject.and it. body mass index （BMI） was calculat.d using t.e Chinese Working Group on Obesit. in China （CWGO）. Result. Ant.ropomet.ic measurement.including bodyweight. height. BMI and bust.were significant.y different.bet.een males in urban compared t. females living rural areas （P〈0.001）. t.e t.t.l prevalence of overweight.and obesit. was 12.4% and 5.7%. Males had a significant.y higher rat. t.an in female＇s st.dent. t.e prevalence of overweight.and obesit. by age groups was （14.5%, 10.3%） at.age 7-11 years, （11.2%, 6.8%） at.age 12-14 years, （11.7%, 3.1%） at.age 15-17 years, and （11.4%, 2.3%） at.age 18-22 years. By regions; t.e highest.prevalence of overweight.obesit. report.d in t.izhou （10.0%, 14.2%）, Xuzhou （9.4%, 12.5%）, and Nanjing （9.2%, 15.6%）, respect.vely. Conclusion t.e finding declares t.at.overweight.and obesit. are import.nt.healt. problems among st.dent. in Jiangsu Province. Early int.rvent.on programme are needed t. address t.is problems.
