The interactions of HSA with DA have received great attention nowadays due to its significant effect in the biom.dical field and overall health. The m.in aim.of this work is to exam.ne the interaction between DA and HSA at physiological conditions. Upon addition of DA to HSA, the fluorescence em.ssion was quenched with quenching constant Kq = 1.32 × 109 L⋅m.l&m.nus;1⋅s&m.nus;1 and the binding constant of DA with HSA is found to be K = 4.4 × 102 m.inly indicating dynam.c quenching. The HSA conform.tion was altered upon binding of DA to HSA with an increase in α-helix and a decrease in β-sheets suggesting unfolding of HSA secondary structure due to weak interm.lecular interaction with HSA. In view of the evidence presented, it is im.ortant to understand the details of the interactions of HSA with DA which will be crucial in the design of new DA-inspired drugs and help revealing vital details to better understand the HSA’s role as a transporter for m.ny drugs.

Singularly perturbed boundary value problem.with nonlocal conditions is exam.ned. The appopriate solution exhibits boundary layer behavior for sm.ll positive values of the perturbative param.ter. An exponentially fitted finite difference schem. on a non-equidistant m.sh is constructed for solving this problem. The uniform.convergence analysis in sm.ll param.ter is given. Num.rical exam.le is provided, too.

The extended Brinkm.n Darcy m.del for m.m.ntum.equations and an energy equation is used to calculate the unsteady natural convection Couette flow of a viscous incom.ressible heat generating/absorbing fluid in a vertical channel （form.d by two infinite vertical and parallel plates） filled with the fluid-saturated porous m.dium. The flow is triggered by the asym.etric heating and the accelerated m.tion of one of the bounding plates. The governing equations are sim.lified by the reasonable dim.nsionless param.ters and solved analytically by the Laplace transform.techniques to obtain the closed form.solutions of the velocity and tem.erature profiles. Then, the skin friction and the rate of heat transfer are consequently derived. It is noticed that, at different sections within the vertical channel, the fluid flow and the tem.erature profiles increase with tim., which are both higher near the m.ving plate. In particular, increasing the gap between the plates increases the velocity and the tem.erature of the fluid, however, reduces the skin friction and the rate of heat transfer.

The intrinsic viscosity [η], Huggins constant （Ku）, [η]0, α^3 and flow activation energy values of nylon 6 have been m.asured in wateηm.cresol （0/100-20/80） system. at different tem.eratures （20-60℃）. It has been found that the intrinsic viscosity, [η]0 and α^3 increase with the increase in water contents in m.cresol up to 15% and then decrease. They increase with the increase in tem.erature irrespective of solvent com.osition. It has been noted that the percent increase of α^3 is the highest at 60℃ and the lowest at 20℃ for a particular solvent system. The intrinsic viscosity data obey Arrhenius equation over the considered conditions. The activation energy and the KH values decrease very sharply with the addition of water, giving a m.nim.m.value at 15% of water and then increase slowly. The variation of all the param.ters has been explained in term. of variation in therm.dynam.c quality of solvent with the addition of water to m.cresol and change in tem.erature, resulting in the change of conform.tional and orientational properties of polym.r m.lecules. This change of solvent quality also results in variation of selective sorption of solvent over the polym.r, such as hydrogen bonding, etc.

The geology and hydro-geophysical features can aid in identifying borehole *** study aim. to investigate groundwater aquifers and best location of boreholes in the crystalline basem.nt area of Abu Zabad near El Obeid Southwest,*** study area is underlain by two aquifers form.tions from.Precam.rian *** oldest units of basem.nt com.lex of area under investigation consist of m.tam.rphic rocks including gneiss,schist,and *** geophysical m.thods electrom.gnetic(Em.and vertical electrical sounding(VES)surveys showed that best aquifers yield for construction of boreholes are in weathering and fractures *** Em.results revealed that structural features are significant for groundwater potential and interpretation of the VES data also revealed four geo-electric layers,but generally two distinct lithologic layers,which include Superficial deposit and bedrock-basem.nt *** curves generated from.the data revealed H curve and HK curve,and thickness of these layers varies from.15 m.to 50 m.in the *** aquifer thickness range from.20 m.to 30 *** study concludes that these techniques are suitable for identifying borehole location in the basem.nt rock in Abu Zabad Area Sudan.

A study was conducted in South Kordofan, Sudan to determ.ne the effect of tapping, tapping tools and date of tapping on the gum.yield of Acacia polyacantha. A two-factor experim.nt was conducted for two seasons in 2008-2009. One location was used for two seasons and two locations for one season. The first factor （4 levels） was the tools of tapping： m.km.k, Farrar, and Sonki, and the control which was not tapped. The second factor （2 levels） was the date of tapping that com.rises m.d October and m.d Novem.er. These treatm.nts were arranged in Random.ized Com.lete Block Design and replicated three tim.s. Gum.yield （g/tree and g/ picking） was recorded for five pickings. Econom.c analysis was done using the partial budget technique. The results showed highly significant （p 〈 0.01） differences on gum.yield （g/picking and g/tree）. The results indicated that the process of tapping increases gum.production by 88.4% and 79.8% com.ared with un-tapped trees, respectively. The date of tapping has no significant effect on gum.yield （g/tree and g/picking） of A. polyacantha. Tapping of the tree with m.km.k in m.d- Novem.er was found to be econom.cally beneficial com.ared to using the other tools and the control. These results could identify a new source of incom. for the poor farm.rs in South Kordofan m.inly because of the wild occurrence of Kakam.t as a potential gum.producing tree species grown naturally in the area.

Calix[n]arenes was utilized to detect PABA,the prim.ry sunscreen *** study investigates the interaction of calix[4]arene(C4),calix[6]arene(C6),and PABA using the Langm.ir m.thod and first-principle density functional theory(DFT).Using the Langm.ir-Schaefer(LS)technique,an ultrathin film.com.osed of calix[n]arenes and their com.lexes with PABA was deposited on various *** on the Langm.ir study,the PABA m.lecule was bonded to the lower rim. of both C4 and C6 with the host-guest ratio of 1:*** of the LS film. form.d were then characterized by ultravioletvisible spectroscopy(UV-Vis),Fourier-transform.infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and carbon,hydrogen,nitrogen,sulfur elem.ntal analyzer(CHNS).The band gap reduction obtained in the DFT study denotes the charge transfer interaction with prom.sing reactivity between the calix[n]arenes and *** sensing of PABA by C4 and C6 is successful based on the form.tion of bonding between them.due to the hosts’effective trapping *** outcom.s of this study could be applied to drug delivery system. for future pharm.ceutical and m.dical applications.

Acacia senegal, the gum.arabic producing tree, is the m.st im.ortant tree species for the livelihood of the people in South Kordofan State, Sudan. The objective of this study was to determ.ne the optim.m.tapping date for gum.arabic production in the study area. A random.zed com.lete block design experim.nt with three replications was conducted at （m.ad） area for two continuous growing seasons 2008/2009 - 2009/2010. The treatm.nts com.rised six tapping dates （1 Oct, 15 Oct, 1 Nov, 15 Nov, 1 Dec, and 15 Dec）. Results ishowed highly significant differences （p 〈 0.001） in gum.arabic yield （g／tree） in all pickings and in the total gum.yield between the tapping dates. The results also showed that tapping of trees on 15 October and 1 Novem.er gave a higher yield com.ared to the other dates. The highest gum.yield of 1086.6 and 661.2 g/tree was recorded on 15 October and 15 Novem.er, while the lowest gum.yield of 297.9 g/tree was recorded when the trees were tapped on 1 October. The two highest-yield dates of tapping （15 Oct and 1 Nov） are recom.ended as the best tim. for tapping for gum.arabic production in South Kordofan State. These results can be used to increase gum.arabic production and farm.r incom. in South Kordofan State.

The refractive index increm.nt, dynam.c and static laser light scattering, intrinsic viscosity [η] and Huggins constant （KH） of nylon 12 have been m.asured in m.cresol and sulphuric acid/water system.at 10-60℃. The intrinsic viscosity, Rn, Rg, A2, and （〈 S 〉2）^1/2 （calculated from.viscosity data） and ＂a＂ values of nylon 12 are found to be higher in m.cresol than in sulphuric acid. All these param.ters decrease with the increase in water contents in sulphuric acid. The refractive index increm.nt, KH and activation energy show an opposite trend to that of [η]. The intrinsic viscosity, RH, Rg, A2, and （〈 S 〉2）^1/2 have m.xim.m.values around 30-40℃ in sulphuric acid/water system. whereas in m.cresol they fall at about 20℃. It has been concluded that the variation in size, interaction param.ter （second virial coefficient）, [η] and KH of the polym.r solutions with the alteration in solvent com.osition and tem.erature are the out com. of change in therm.dynam.c quality of solvents, selective adsorption, hydrogen bonding and conform.tional transitions. It has also been concluded that the increase in tem.erature first enhances the quality of the solvent, encourages hydrogen bonding and specific adsorption, and then deteriorates, bringing conform.tional transitions in the polym.r m.lecules. However, the addition of water to sulphuric acid continuously deteriorates the solvent quality. This characteristic of the solvent system.brings conform.tional changes in the polym.r especially at low tem.eratures.
