Till about 15 years ago, almost all information exchange among scientists and scholars was mediated by print and even then researchers in the developing countries were at a great disadvantage as their libraries did not have the resources to subscribe in comparison with even a small fraction of journals libraries in advanced countries. But the Internet and the World Wide Web initially exacerbated the gap between the rich and the poor countries, as many poor countries were slow to acquire these technologies and the infrastructure (especially bandwidth). Soon it became clear that thanks to these technologies we now have the unprecedented opportunity of having a level playing field in the matter of accessing scientific and scholarly information. Transforming this opportunity into reality is entirely in the hands of the researchers themselves. Imagine a world where every scientist places his/ her research papers, which (s)he wants to give away so others can read and make use of, in a public archive. Anyone anywhere in the world, of course having an Internet connection, can access, download, and read those papers. This is a win-win situation for all: the reader gets to read what he wants to read at very little cost; the author gains greater visibility for his work and the work reported is likely to have greater impact than if it were to be made available only through a toll-access journal. Although the logic is so simple, in reality such archives were not coming up for a very long time. In spite of the fact that computer scientists and physicists had shown about 15 years ago the great advantages of such archives. Recent studies by Alma Swan and others have shown that a very large proportion of scientists are not aware of open access and therefore what we need is focused advocacy. Even among those who know of OA, many are not depositing their papers in archives but say they would if they are asked by their bosses or their funding agencies. Clearly the ball is in the court

The rapid developments in the fields of telecommunication, sensor data, financial applications, analyzing of data streams, and so on, increase the rate of data arrival, among which the data mining technique is considered a vital process. The data analysis process consists of different tasks, among which the data stream classification approaches face more challenges than the other commonly used techniques. Even though the classification is a continuous process, it requires a design that can adapt the classification model so as to adjust the concept change or the boundary change between the classes. Hence, we design a novel fuzzy classifier known as THRFuzzy to classify new incoming data streams. Rough set theory along with tangential holoentropy function helps in the designing the dynamic classification model. The classification approach uses kernel fuzzy c-means(FCM) clustering for the generation of the rules and tangential holoentropy function to update the membership function. The performance of the proposed THRFuzzy method is verified using three datasets, namely skin segmentation, localization, and breast cancer datasets, and the evaluated metrics, accuracy and time, comparing its performance with HRFuzzy and adaptive k-NN classifiers. The experimental results conclude that THRFuzzy classifier shows better classification results providing a maximum accuracy consuming a minimal time than the existing classifiers.

Light Weight Cryptographic Address Generation(LW-CGA) Using System State Entropy Gathering for IPv6 Based MANETs

In IPv6 based MANETs, the neighbor discovery enables nodes to self-configure and communicate with neighbor nodes through autoconfiguration. The Stateless address autoconfiguration(SLAAC) has proven to face several security issues. Even though the Secure Neighbor Discovery(SeND) uses Cryptographically Generated Addresses(CGA) to address these issues, it creates other concerns such as need for CA to authenticate hosts, exposure to CPU exhaustion attacks and high computational intensity. These issues are major concern for MANETs as it possesses limited bandwidth and processing power. The paper proposes empirically strong Light Weight Cryptographic Address Generation(LW-CGA) using entropy gathered from system states. Even the system users cannot monitor these system states; hence LW-CGA provides high security with minimal computational complexity and proves to be more suitable for MANETs. The LW-CGA and SeND are implemented and tested to study the performances. The evaluation shows that LW-CGA with good runtime throughput takes minimal address generation latency.

Spinal cord injury （SCI） is a devastating condition with loss of motor and sensory functions below the injury level. Cell based therapies are experimented in pre-clinical studies around the world. Neural stem cells are located intra-craniafly in subventricular zone and hippocampus which are highly invasive sourc- es. The olfactory epithelium is a neurogenic tissue where neurogenesis takes place throughout the adult life by a population of stem/progenitor cells. Easily accessible olfactory neuroepithelial stem/progenitor cells are an attractive cell source for transplantation in SCI. Globose basal cells （GBCs） were isolated from rat olfactory epithelium, characterized by flow cytometry and immunohistochemically. These ceils were further studied for neurosphere formation and neuronal induction. T10 laminectomy was done to create drop-weight SCI in rats. On the 9th day following SCI, 5 × 105 cells were transplanted into injured rat spinal cord. The outcome of transplantation was assessed by the Basso, Beattie and Bresnahan （BBB） locomotor rating scale, motor evoked potential and histological observation. GBCs expressed neural stem cell markers nestin, SOX2, NCAM and also mesenchymal stem cell markers （CD29, CD54, CD90, CD73, CD105）. These cells formed neurosphere, a culture characteristics of NSCs and on induction, differentiated cells expressed neuronal markers ~III tubulin, microtubule-associated protein 2, neuronal nuclei, and neurofilament. GBCs transplanted rats exhibited hindlimb motor recovery as confirmed by BBB score and gastrocnemius muscle electromyography amplitude was increased compared to controls. Green fluorescent protein labelled GBCs survived around the injury epicenter and differentiated into βⅢ tubulin-immunoreactive neuron-like cells. GBCs could be an alternative to NSCs from an accessible source for autologous neurotransplantation after SCI without ethical issues.

The iterative equation is an equality with an unknown function and its iterates,most of which found from references are a linear combination of those *** this paper,we work on an iterative equation with multiplication of iterates of the unknown ***,we use an exponential conjugation to reduce the equation on R+to the form of the linear combination on R,but those known results on the linear combination were obtained on a compact interval or a neighborhood near a fixed *** use the Banach contraction principle to give the existence,uniqueness and continuous dependence of continuous solutions on R+that are Lipschitzian on their ranges,and construct its continuous solutions on R_(+)sewing piece by *** technically extend our results on R_(+)to R_(-)and show that none of the pairs of solutions obtained on R+and R_(-)can be combined at the origin to get a continuous solution of the equation on the whole R,but can extend those given on R+to obtain continuous solutions on the whole R.

Infectious diseases are indeed a lifelong threat to everyone irrespective of age, sex, lifestyle and socio-economic status. The infectious diseases have persisted among the prominent causes of death globally. Recently, re-emergence of Chikungunya viral infection harmed many in Asian and African countries. Chikungunya was considered as a major threat in developing and underdeveloped countries; the recent epidemiological outbreak of Chikungunya in La Reunion urges the global researchers to develop effective vaccine against this viral disease. In this review, Chikungunya, pathogenesis and epidemiology were briefly described.
