Dy2O3 is a rare earth oxide having a number of advanced applications in various fields including protective or antireflective coatings,Main objective of this novel research work is to check the effect of Cr and Cu addition on different properties of Dy2O3 and achievement of antireflective thin films with enhanced abso *** films of these materials we re deposited using DC magnetron with reactive *** studies reveals the crystalline nature of thin films having Dy2O3(222)reflection in all samples with Cr2O3(116)and CuO(111)reflections in Cr and Cu containing *** emission scanning electron microscopy demonstrates the homogeneous deposition of thin films with uniform shape,size and distribution of *** index,extinction coefficient and absorption coefficient significantly increase while optical reflectance decreases with Cr and Cu mediation corroborating an improved antireflective *** imaginary part of dielectric constant is found to increase slightly with low tangent loss for Cr containing composition co nsidered favorable for energy storage applications.

We explore the photoluminescence properties of zinc silicate(Zn_(2)siO_(4)) nanostructures synthesized by vapor-liquidsolid(VLs)mode of growth using three different catalysts(sn,Ag,and Mn).Different catalysts significantly influence the growth rate which in turn has an impact on the structure and hence the photoluminescence of the prepared zinc silicate ***_(2)siO_(4) has a wide bandgap of about 5.5 eV and in its pure form,it does not emit in visible region due to its inner shell electronic transitions between the 3 d5 energy ***,the incorporation of different catalysts(sn,Ag and Mn)at different growth temperatures into the Zn_(2)siO_(4) crystal growth kinetics provides wide visible spectral range of photoluminescence(PL)*** analysis shows broad multi-band spectrum in the visible region and distinct colors(red,yellow,green,blue,cyan and violet)are obtained depending on the crystalline structure of the prepared *** allowed transitions due to the effect of different catalysts on zinc silicate lattice offer a huge cross-section of absorption that generates strong *** correlation between the structural and optical properties of the synthesized nanostructures is discussed in *** synthesized photoluminescent nanostructures have potential applications in solidstate lighting and display devices.

The crystal structure,magnetization,and spontaneous magnetostriction of ferromagnetic Laves phase Gd Fe2 compound have been *** resolution synchrotron x-ray diffraction（XRD） analysis shows that Gd Fe2 has a lower cubic symmetry with easy magnetization direction（EMD） along [100] below Curie temperature *** replacement of Gd with a small amount of Tb changes the EMD to [111].The Curie temperature decreases while the field dependence of the saturation magnetization（Ms） measured in temperature range 5–300 K varies with increasing Tb *** Hc increases with increasing Tb concentration and decays exponentially as temperature *** anisotropy in Gd Fe2 is so weak that some of the rare-earth substitution plays an important role in determining the easy direction of magnetization in GdFe_*** calculated magnetostrictive constant λ100 shows a small value of 37×10^（-6）.This value agrees well with experimental data 30×10^（-6）.Under a relatively small magnetic field,GdFe_2 exhibits a V-shaped positive magnetostriction *** the field is further increased,the crystal exhibits a negative magnetostriction *** phenomenon has been discussed in term of magnetic domain ***,magnetostriction increases with increasing Tb *** work leads to a simple and unified mesoscopic explanation for magnetostriction in *** may also provide insight for developing novel functional materials.

Understanding the temporal stability in the factors influencing drivers' injury severity in single-vehicle collisions would help evaluating the effectiveness of implementing different safety treatments so that researchers could understand whether any safety improvements,observed after applying a certain safety treatment, are attributed to the specific treatment or simply attributed to the temporal instability of the factors being addressed. This study investigates the temporal stability of the factors affecting drivers' injury severity in singlevehicle collisions involving light-duty vehicles. The study is based on utilizing ordinal regression modeling to analyze the severity of drivers' injuries in all police-reported lightduty single-vehicle collisions that occurred in North Carolina from January 1, 2007, to December 31, 2013. A separate regression model was estimated for each year so that statistical significance of each risk factor may be compared over the years. The study also estimated random-parameter(mixed) ordered logit models to explore the heterogeneity in data. The most significant factor that was found to increase the severity of drivers' injuries in light-duty single-vehicle collisions is driving under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs. Other significant factors, in decreasing order in terms of their significance, include driving on a highway curve, exceeding speed limit, lighting conditions, the age of the driver, and the age of the vehicle. In contrast, there were six factors that were found to be significant in only some years and not in all years. These six temporally unstable factors include the use of seatbelt, driver's gender, rural highways, undivided highways, the type of the light-duty vehicle, and weather and road surface conditions. These same factors were found by other previous research studies to be significant and stable predictors of drivers' injury severity in single-vehicle collisions.

A new potential approximation known as modified Becke-Johnson based on density functional theory is applied to compute the electronic band profile and optical response of CdIn2O4, CdGa2O4 and CDAl2O4 compounds. The direct band gap with common LDA, GGA and EV-GGA is drastically underestimated compared with modified 13ecke-Johnson approximation, whose results are significantly closer to the experimental findings. The optical properties like dielectric constant, refractive index, reflectivity, optical conductivity and absorption coefficient axe also computed. A unique characteristic associated with cation replacement is studied; the replacement of cation In by Ga and Ga by AI significantly reduces the direct energy band gap in these compounds. This variation is of crucial importance for band gap dependent optical properties of these compounds, which is also proof for applications of these compounds in optoelectronic devices.

The separate spin evolution quantum hydrodynamics(ssE-QHD)model is used to investigate the energy behavior for ion acoustic waves in degenerate quantum *** results show that the energy flow speed decreases with spin polarization *** is also shown that it decreases with the increasing rate up to a certain range of wave number and then it goes to zero *** is observed that Bohm potential suppresses the energy flow *** is also noticed that the energy flow speed deviates from the group velocity even in the absence of Bohm potential ***,the contribution of of Bohm poential effect in spin polarized plasma reduces the extent of deviation.

With the advent of safer and more efficient gene transfer methods, gene therapy has become a viable solution for many inherited and acquired disorders. Hematopoietic stem cells(HsCs) are a prime cell compartment for gene therapy aimed at correcting blood-based disorders, as well as those amenable to metabolic outcomes that can effect cross-correction. While some resounding clinical successes have recently been demonstrated, ample room remains to increase the therapeutic output from HsC-directed gene therapy. In vivo amplification of therapeutic cells is one avenue to achieve enhanced gene product delivery. To date, attempts have been made to provide HsCs with resistance to cytotoxic drugs, to include druginducible growth modules specific to HsCs, and to increase the engraftment potential of transduced HsCs. This review aims to summarize amplification strategies that have been developed and tested and to discuss their advantages along with barriers faced towards their clinical adaptation. In addition, next-generation strategies to circumvent current limitations of specific amplification schemas are discussed.
