AA 6061 alloy and interstitial-free(IF)steel plates were joined by the friction stir welding(FSW)method,and the microstructure,mechanical properties,and biaxial stretch formability of the friction stir welded(FSWed)parts were *** results indicate that the FSWed parts showed optimum tensile strength during FSW with the 0.4-mm offset position of the *** Fe4Al13 intermetallic compound formed in the defect-free intersection of AA 6061 and IF-steel plates during *** hardness of the IF-steel part of the FSWed region increased almost 90%relative to its initial hardness of HV0.2 *** tensile and yield strengths of FSWed regions were approximately 170 MPa and 145 MPa,*** to the formability tests,the Erichsen Index(EI)of the IF-steel,AA 6061,and the FSWed samples were determined to be 2.9 mm,1.9 mm,and 2.1 mm,*** EI of the FSWed sample was almost the same as that of the AA 6061 ***,it decreased compared with that of the *** force at EI(FEI)was approximately 1180 N for the FSWed *** value is approximately 70%higher than that of AA 6061 alloy.

Offshore wind farm(OWF) is the largest renewable energy resource. The electrical interconnection cost of OWFs is a considerable fraction of the overall design cost of the farm. In order to minimize the investment and operational costs, this paper proposes an optimization formulation to find the optimal electrical interconnection configuration of wind turbines(WTs), and the optimal cable sizing simultaneously. This simultaneous minimization of total trenching length and cable dimensions creates a complex optimization problem that is solved by the harmony search(HS) algorithm. In this paper, two distinct methods of full and partial optimal cable sizing areconsidered to comprehensively assess the optimal interconnection layout of OWFs. Furthermore, various shipping and burying costs as well as various WTs power ratings are considered in order to investigate their impact on the optimal electrical interconnection system. The optimal electrical interconnection design obtained by the HS algorithm corresponds to a lower cost that together with the technological developments can help policy makers increase the use of offshore wind energy as a feasible unlimited renewable resource in their energy production portfolios.

In this work, it is aimed to find one- and two-soliton solutions to nonlinear Tzitzeica-Dodd-Bullough （TDB） equation. Since the double exp-function method has been widely used to solve several nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics, we have also used it with the help of symbolic computation for solving the present equation. The method seems to be easier and more accurate thanks to the recent developments in the field of symbolic computation.

Forest roads require important design specifications to ensure all-season access for various vehicles. Long and heavy log trucks can face serious maneuvering problems on forest roads due to insufficient amount of area to the left for road widening on horizontal curves. In order to provide safe and continuous shipment and transportation,appropriate curve widening areas should be provided for long vehicles along horizontal curves. In this study, a statistical model was developed to provide curve-widening solutions for long trucks（e.g., those with 18 wheels） considering various curve radius and deflection angles. The dynamic curve widening feature of Plateia 2013 program was employed to calculate curve widening for the specified vehicle. During the solution process, nine different horizontal curve diameters from 10 to 50 m（by 5 m intervals）and 17 different deflection angles from 90° to 170°（by 5°intervals） were evaluated to run horizontal curve-widening analysis. Using a multiple regression model, we made suitable predictions about curve widening. The curvewidening areas decrease as the horizontal curve radius increases, while increasing the deflection angle on horizontal curves increases curve widening areas. Clearly, the computer-based dynamic curve widening model developed in this study can be effectively used in determining optimum widening for horizontal curves by evaluating the number of alternatives that fit geometrical specifications and vehicle types.

The segmentation of moving and non-moving regions in an image within the field of crowd analysis is a crucial process in terms of understanding crowd behavior. In many studies, similar movements were segmented according to the location, adjacency to each other, direction, and average speed. However, these segments may not in turn indicate the same types of behavior in each region. The purpose of this study is to better understand crowd behavior by locally measuring the degree of interaction/complexity within the segment. For this purpose, the flow of motion in the image is primarily represented as a series of trajectories. The image is divided into hexagonal cells and the finite time braid entropy(FTBE) values are calculated according to the different projection angles of each cell. These values depend on the complexity of the spiral structure that the trajectories generated throughout the movement and show the degree of interaction among pedestrians. In this study, behaviors of different complexities determined in segments are pictured as similar movements on the whole. This study has been tested on 49 different video sequences from the UCF and CUHK databases.

Coronary embolism has been considered as a rare cause of coronary occlusion. Prosthetic heart valve is an infrequent cause of this condition. The exact incidence of coronary embolization in patients with prosthetic heart valves is not well known. Furthermore, the effective treatment and management of coronary emboli in this setting remains unknown. It is the purpose of this paper to report the successful management of a case of coronary embolism with half-dose tissue-type plasminogen activator （tPA） and tirofiban given intravenously in a patient with initial valve prosthesis.
