Preparation and Antibacterial Activity of Superhydrophobic Modified ZnO/PVC Nanocomposite

We fabricated a superhydrophobic modified ZnO/PVC nanocomposite cluster with antibacterial properties using the chemical precipitation method and selected solvent/non-solvent(THF/ethanol)to *** effects of ethanol content(47%,50%,53%,and 56%)on nanocomposite morphology and Water Contact Angles(WCAs)were *** measurements confirmed the polycrystalline structure of ZnO with a wurtzite hexagonal phase,and EDX results indicated the presence of all element *** analysis of specimens revealed a rough surface structure resembling a cluster of NPs,and that structure was dominant when the ethanol content increased to 56%.The WCA increased on the superhydrophobic nanocomposite as ethanol content increased,and an optimum WCA(160°±2°)was obtained at an ethanol content of 56%.Antibacterial activity was tested on the superhydrophobic and hydrophobic states,and the superhydrophobic specimens showed good inhibition against Klebsiella *** Staphylococcus ***,the hydrophobic specimens demonstrated no antibacterial activity against *** promising results can inform the development of nanocomposites for many environmental applications.

A facile approach was developed to construct Fe_(2)O_(3)-modified ZnO micro/nanostructures with excellent superhydrophobicity and photocatalytic *** effects of stearic acid(SA)and Fe_(2)O_(3) on the morphological characteristics,water contact angle(WCA),and photocatalytic degradation were *** results showed that WCA increased from 144°±2°to 154°±2°when the weight of SA increased from 5 to 20 mg because of the formation of a hierarchical or rough ***,Fe_(2)O_(3)-modified ZnO micro/nanostructure surfaces before and after SA treatment(20 mg)were chosen to evaluate the photodegradation of methylene blue(MB)dye under the support of visible *** degraded after 80 min of irradiation,and its photodegradation efficiencies were 91.5%at the superhydrophobic state and 92%at the hydrophilic *** improvement in photocatalytic activity at both states might be attributed to an increase in surface area and improvement in charge carrier separation.

Quality of Service (QoS) generally refers to measurable like latency and throughput, things that directly affect the user experience. Queuing (the most popular QoS tool) involves choosing the packets to be sent based on something other than arrival time. The Active queue management is important subject to manage this queue to increase the effectiveness of Transmission Control Protocol networks. Active queue management (AQM) is an effective means to enhance congestion control, and to achieve trade-off between link utilization and delay. The de facto standard, Random Early Detection (RED), and many of its variants employ queue length as a congestion indicator to trigger packet dropping. One of these enhancements of RED is FRED or Fair Random Early Detection attempts to deal with a fundamental aspect of RED in that it imposes the same loss rate on all flows, regardless of their bandwidths. FRED also uses per-flow active accounting, and tracks the state of active flows. FRED protects fragile flows by deterministically accepting flows from low bandwidth connections and fixes several shortcomings of RED by computing queue length during both arrival and departure of the packet. Unlike FRED, we propose a new scheme that used hazard rate estimated packet dropping function in FRED. We call this new scheme Enhancement Fair Random Early Detection. The key idea is that, with EFRED Scheme change packet dropping function, to get packet dropping less than RED and other AQM algorithms like ARED, REM, RED, etc. Simulations demonstrate that EFRED achieves a more stable throughput and performs better than current active queue management algorithms due to decrease the packets loss percentage and lowest in queuing delay, end to end delay and delay variation (JITTER).

The effect of optical feedback time （depend on the distance between the front facet of the laser and the external mirror） on the chaos synchronization in open-loop communication system have been investigated. In this system, the dynamics of semiconductor lasers with both the optical feedback and optical injection are coherently coupled with the internal laser field. The synchronization map becomes a cloud of points for some parameters values （no correlation between Master laser ML and Slave laser SL outputs）. It means that the two lasers are decoupled. It can be clearly seen when kf = 0.2, kinj = 0.4 and τ = 1 the correlation between these two laser outputs are in a diagonal line, which implies the excellent correlation between them and verifies their synchronization. It is evident that the synchronization quality of open-loop scheme improves for this value is better than that of the other amounts. Value is better than that of the other amounts.
