Breast cancer is one of the major health issues with high mortality rates and a substantial impact on patients and healthcare systems *** Computer-Aided Diagnosis(CAD)tools,based on breast thermograms,have been developed for early detection of this ***,accurately segmenting the Region of Interest(ROI)fromthermograms remains *** paper presents an approach that leverages image acquisition protocol parameters to identify the lateral breast region and estimate its bottomboundary using a second-degree *** proposed method demonstrated high efficacy,achieving an impressive Jaccard coefficient of 86%and a Dice index of 92%when evaluated against manually created ground *** features were extracted from each view’s ROI,with significant features selected via Mutual Information for training Multi-Layer Perceptron(MLP)and K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN)*** findings revealed that the MLP classifier outperformed the KNN,achieving an accuracy of 86%,a specificity of 100%,and an Area Under the Curve(AUC)of *** consistency of the method across both sides of the breast suggests its viability as an auto-segmentation ***,the classification results suggests that lateral views of breast thermograms harbor valuable features that can significantly aid in the early detection of breast cancer.

Liver cirrhosis has long been considered a point of no return,with limited hope for ***,recent advancements,particularly the Baveno VII criteria and the utilization of transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS),have illuminated the concept of hepatic *** this editorial we comment on the article by Gao et al published in the recent *** editorial provides a comprehensive overview of the evolution of understanding cirrhosis,the criteria for recompensation,and the efficacy of TIPS in achieving *** discuss key findings from recent studies,including the promising outcomes observed in patients who achieved recompensation post-TIPS *** further research is needed to validate these findings and elucidate the mechanisms underlying recompensation,the insights presented here offer renewed hope for patients with decompensated cirrhosis and highlight the potential of TIPS as a therapeutic option in their management.

Silver Nano Islands Enhanced Raman Scattering on Large Area Grating Substrates Fabricated by Two Beam Laser Interference

The authors prepared large area surface-enhanced Raman scattering（SERS） active substrates with tunable enhancement. First the large area gratings were fabricated by scanning a photoresist with two-beam laser interference and subsequently they were coated with silver nano islands via vacuum evaporation. SERS active metal island grating substrates with four different periods（300, 400, 515 and 600 nm） and Ag nano islands uniformly coated on an area of 2.5 cm×0.5 cm were obtained. The measured SERS spectra reveal the tuning effect of the period on the Raman sig- nals period. The highest enhancement（ca. 105） for Rhodamine 6G（R6G） as probing molecule is associated with a pe- riod of 515 nm due to the perfect matching of surface plasmons and Raman excitation line. A good reproducibility of SERS signals with almost the same SERS intensity at different spots was observed on all the larger area Ag island grating substrates.

The proliferation of deluding data such as fake news and phony audits on news web journals,online publications,and internet business apps has been aided by the availability of the web,cell phones,and social *** can quickly fabricate comments and news on social *** most difficult challenge is determining which news is real or ***,tracking down programmed techniques to recognize fake news online is *** an emphasis on false news,this study presents the evolution of artificial intelligence techniques for detecting spurious social media *** study shows past,current,and possible methods that can be used in the future for fake news *** different publicly available datasets containing political news are utilized for performing *** supervised learning algorithms are used,and their results show that conventional Machine Learning(ML)algorithms that were used in the past perform better on shorter text *** contrast,the currently used Recurrent Neural Network(RNN)and transformer-based algorithms perform better on longer ***,a brief comparison of all these techniques is provided,and it concluded that transformers have the potential to revolutionize Natural Language Processing(NLP)methods in the near future.

The rise of automation and machine learning(ML)in electron microscopy has the potential to revolutionize materials research through autonomous data collection and processing.A significant challenge lies in developing ML models that rapidly generalize to large data sets under varying experimental *** address this by employing a cycle generative adversarial network(CycleGAN)with a reciprocal space discriminator,which augments simulated data with realistic spatial frequency *** allows the CycleGAN to generate images nearly indistinguishable from real data and provide labels for ML *** showcase our approach by training a fully convolutional network(FCN)to identify single atom defects in a 4.5 million atom data set,collected using automated acquisition in an aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscope(STEM).Our method produces adaptable FCNs that can adjust to dynamically changing experimental variables with minimal intervention,marking a crucial step towards fully autonomous harnessing of microscopy big data.

The smart vehicles are one of critical enablers for automated services in smart cities to provide intelligent transportation means without human *** order to fulfil requirements,Vehicle-to-Anything(V2X)communications aims to manage massive connectivity and high traffic load on base stations and extend the range over multiple hops in 5G ***,V2X networking faces several challenges from dynamic topology caused by high velocity of nodes and routing overhead that degrades the network performance and increases energy *** existing routing scheme for V2X networking lacks energy efficiency and scalability for high velocity nodes with dense *** order to handle the challenges,this article proposes a scalable and energy-efficient routing scheme called Dynamic proactive reactive routing for 5G(DPR5)for high mobility speed and dense *** compared to existing schemes it uses a single routing table and efficiently minimizes the energy consumption in dense environment,improves node‘s lifetime upto 42%,and optimizes network performance by reducing the packet loss ratio upto 46%in a high velocity dense environment.

本文通过拉伸/收缩具有独立移动能力大分子的非平行通道,对磁流体的动力学进行数值分析。通过麦克斯韦方法建立了外磁场对黏弹性流体流动影响的数学模型,在经典流体动力动量方程中表现为体力。为了完整描述微观结构现象,利用角动量方程对数学模型进行强化。用凯勒盒有限差分法对所得到的非线性问题进行数值处理。求解如Hartmann数(1≤Ha≤5)、拉伸参数(-4≤C≤4)、旋转参数(3≤K≤9)、Weissenberg数(0.3≤Wi≤0.9)、Reynolds数(50≤Re≤150)等物理量的微分方程形式,并以图表形式表示出来。在所有讨论的情况中,只有发散通道中的角速度随着Hartmann数的增加而增加,这表明微结构旋转是由强磁场激发的。

We develop an efficiently improved knowledge-based neural network(KBNN)associated with optimization algorithms and finite element analysis(FEA)to accurately predict spring-back angles in metal sheet *** well-known V and U prevalent processes of bending are *** KBNN predictive results are based on the empirical model and artificial neural network(ANN)*** empirical model is constructed from the FEA results using response surface method,while the multilayer perceptron is employed to create the *** trained KBNN can accurately model the relation-ship between the spring-back angles and process *** obtained results are validated against other existing methods showing a high accuracy.
