Assessment of malathion and its effects on leukocytes in human blood samples

In the present paper,we report a reproducible,cost effective,fast response method for detection of malathion and its effects on leukocytes in different human blood *** methods（UV-Vis spectrometry）and Fourier transform infrared coupled with solid phase extraction were applied for analyzing malathion content in human blood *** spiking levels of malathion in the range of 0.1-1.7μg/mL were extracted from blood plasma samples using *** present active functional groups（C=0;P-O-C;-OH;P=S）were also *** recovery rate of malathion was 80%±4.5%.The calculated correlation coefficient was 0.9799,indicating the linearity of the *** limit of detection（LOD）and limit of quantification（LOQ）were（0.1-1.7）μg/mL and（0.3-1.5）μg/mL,***〈1.0μg/mL showed no significant change while higher levels of malathion exposure（1.5μg/mL and 3.0｜ig/mL）reduced the number of white blood *** conclusion,the spectroscopic results may be useful to understand the mechanism of other pesticides such as methyl parathion and parathion.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the nuclear magnetic resonance （NMR） assignments of hydrolyzed products extracted from human blood plasma. The correlations between chemical, functional and structural prop- erties of highly toxic pesticides were investigated using the PreADME analysis. We observed that toxic pesticides possessed higher molecular weight and, more hydrogen bond donors and acceptors when compared with less toxic pesticides. The occurrence of functional groups and structural properties was analyzed using ~H-NMR. The ~H- NMR spectra of the phosphomethoxy class of pesticides were characterized by methyl resonances at 3.7-3.9 ppm （8） with the coupling constants of 11-16 Hz （Je-cns）. In phosphoethoxy pesticides, the methyl resonance was about 1.4 ppm （8） with the coupling constant of 10 Hz （Je-cH2） and the methylene resonances was 4.2-4.4 ppm （8） with the coupling constant of 0.8 Hz （Jp-cH3）, respectively. Our study shows that the values of four parameters such as chemical shift, coupling constant, integration and relaxation time correlated with the concentration of toxic pesticides, and can be used to characterise the proton groups in the molecular structures of toxic pesticides.

Himalayan rangelands, the crucial but by and large the neglected ecosystems, are an integral part of mountain farming systems. The present investigation is based on the extensive survey and collection of mid-altitude range plants from Almora and Champawat districts of Kumaun division in the Uttarakhand Himalaya in India, from September 2003 to June 2007. The rangelands studied were oak types, chirpine types, grass types and mixed ones. Some 300 species of grasses, other herbaceous plants, trees and shrubs were found in the mid-altitude rangelands. A sizeable number of species belonged to the family of Poaceae. The grass-dominated rangelands especially harboured a variety of grass species of good fodder value. The diversity of fodder plants is a proportion of the enormous biodiversity occurring in the parts of the Himalaya. A panorama of the biodiversity emerged in this study, which is of both intangible value and direct value for the livestock- and rangeland- dependent mountain communities, suggests a very high scope of the utilization of this natural and uncultivated biodiversity for supporting livestock- based livelihoods of the region. This biodiversity also has enormous bearing on the cultivated area of the region.

The exponential increase in IoT device usage has spawned numerous cyberspace *** devices,sensors,and actuators bridge the gap between physical processes and the cyber network in a cyber-physical system(CPS).Cyber-physical system is a complex system from a security perspective due to the heterogeneous nature of its components and the fact that IoT devices can serve as an entry point for *** adversaries design their attack strategies on systems to gain an advantage at a relatively lower cost,whereas abusive adversaries initiate an attack to inflict maximum damage without regard to cost or *** this paper,a sensor spoofing attack is modelled as a malicious adversary attempting to cause system failure by interfering with the feedback control *** is accomplished by feeding spoofed sensor values to the controller and issuing erroneous commands to the *** on a Simulink-simulated linear CPS support the proof of concept for the proposed abusive ideology,demonstrating three attack *** impact of the evaluations stresses the importance of testing the CPS security against adversaries with abusive settings for preventing ***,the research concludes by highlighting the limitations of the proposed work,followed by recommendations for the future.

The nanocrystalline samples of Nd1-xSrxMnO3 （NSMO）（x=0.5, 0.55, 0.60, 0.63） were synthesized by sol-gel based polymeric pre-cursor route. Structural, magnetic and magnetotransport properties were studied systematically. It was found that in the composition range （x=0.50-0.63）, Nd1-xSrxMnO3 showed paramagnetic to ferromagnetic （PM-FM） transition in the vicinity of TC～270 K but the FM phase was weakened as the Sr concentration increased. The appearance of weak ferromagnetism was explained in terms of the core-shell model. More-over, for x=0.63 sample, a second transition is observed below TC at T=185 K, which is possibly due to the appearance of A-AFM/ C-AFM or a mixture of both the phases. Resistivity vs temperature （ρ-T） curve showed that the resistivity of all the samples was much larger than the sin-gle crystals of corresponding compositions due to large contribution of the grain boundaries in the present nanocrystalline samples. In all samples, extrinsic kind of MR behavior dominated because of nanocrystalline nature of the samples, which was nearly of the same order （～10%） in all samples. However, the intrinsic kind of MR behavior was also significant in x=0.50 sample, because of the strongest FM feature in this sample.

Insect feeding deterrent and growth inhibitory activities of scopoletin isolated from Artemisia annua against Spilarctia obliqua （Lepidoptera： Noctuidae）

Artemisia annua （Asteraceae） is well known for its antimalarial activities due to presence of the compound artemisinin. We isolated a methoxy coumarin from the stem part of A. annua and confirmed its identity as scopoletin through mass spectral data. The structure was established from 1H-nuclear magnetic resonance （NMR）, 13C-NMR. The compound scopoletin was evaluated for its feeding deterrence and growth inhibitory potential against a noxious lepidopteran insect, Spilartctia obliqua Walker. Scopoletin gave FD50（feeding deterrence of 50%） value of 96.7 μg/g diet when mixed into artificial diet. S. obliqua larvae （12-day-old） exposed to the highest concentration （250μg/g diet） of scopoletin showed 77.1% feeding-deterrence. In a growth inhibitory assay, scopoletin provided 116.9% growth inhibition at the highest dose of 250μg/g diet with a GI50 （growth inhibition of 50%） value of 20.9μg/g diet. Statistical analysis showed a concentrationdependent dose response relationship toward both feeding deterrent and growth inhibitory activities. Artemisinin is found mainly in the leaves of A. annua and not in the stems, which are typically discarded as waste. Therefore identification of scopoletin in stems of A. annua may be important as a source of this material for pest control.

Hippophae rhamnoides *** a plant of immense ethnopharmacological importance and is a known source for various valuable biochemicals and *** production of folate,a vitamin involved in several vital functions,in this plant is rather poorly ***,we investigate the hypothesis that rhizobial bacteria serve the plant in this essential vitamin’s *** strains of Bacillus,Azorhizobium,Frankia,Paenibacillus,Brevibacillus and Pseudomonas,were isolated from the rhizosphere of the *** and LCMS were used to trace the production of intra and extra-cellular folate by representative rhizospheric bacterial strains in *** the seventeen functionally characterized bacterial strains of the plant’s rhizosphere,thirteen produced significant amounts of *** BR5401 produced the maximum amount of folic acid(424μg/mL),and Bacillus GY779 was the only strain capable of producing both intracellular and extra-cellular folic *** Open Reading Frame coding for dihydroneopterin aldolase,an enzyme involved in folate biosynthesis,was found in one of the representative *** experimental findings help us to suggest that the folate synthesized by rhizobial bacteria is transported to the plant,highlighting a significant benefit of coexistence.

Hydrogen spillover effect has recently garnered a lot of attention in the field of electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reactions.A new avenue for understanding the dynamic behavior of atomic migration in which hydrogen atoms moving on a catalyst surface was opened up by the setup of the word"hydrogen spillover."However,there is currently a dearth of thorough knowledge regarding the hydrogen spillover ***,the advancement of sophisticated characterization procedures offers progressively useful information to enhance our grasp of the hydrogen spillover *** understanding of material fabrication for hydrogen spillover effect has *** these factors,we made an effort to review most of the articles published on the hydrogen spillover effect and carefully analyzed the aspect of material *** of our attention has been directed toward the molecular pathway that leads to improve hydrogen evolution reactions *** addition,we have attempted to elucidate the spillover paths through the utilization of DFT ***,we provide some preliminary research suggestions and highlight the opportunities and obstacles that are still to be confronted in this study area.

Nonlinear Coupling of Kinetic Alfvén Waves and Ion Acoustic Waves in the Inner Heliosphere

We study the nonlinear coupling of kinetic Alfvén waves with ion acoustic waves applicable to the Earth’s radiation belt and near-Sun streamer belt solar wind using dynamical equations in the form of modified Zakharov *** simulations show the formation of magnetic field filamentary structures associated with density humps and dips which become turbulent at later times,redistributing the energy to higher *** magnetic power spectra exhibit an inertial range Kolmogorov-like spectral index value of-5/3 for k_(⊥)ρ_(i)<1 followed by a steeper dissipation range spectra with indices~-3 for the radiation belt case and~-4 for the nearSun streamer belt solar wind case,here k_(⊥)andρ_(i)represent the wavevector component perpendicular to the background magnetic field and the ion thermal gyroradius,*** quasilinear theory in terms of the Fokker-Planck equation in the region of wavenumber turbulent spectra,we find the particle distribution function flattening in the superthermal tail population which is the signature of particle energization and plasma heating.
