[previous study] there are many studies about effects of muscle stretching and the results are improvement of R.O.m., circulation and performance, prevention of muscle contracture and muscle or tendon injury during performance and recovery from fatigue. We also studied the effects of prolonged muscle stretching both of in vivo and in vitro since 1996. [method & Results in vivo] the photo-stimulation response time of knee extension has been measured before and after 60sec quadriceps femoris stretching. the result was that only motion time was significantly delayed. the study of a-motor neuron excitation has been done on soleus muscle for different stretching time. the result was that H-wave amplitudes after 30 and 60sec stretching were smaller than its of control and 5 sec stretching. there are two EmG studies of effects of muscle stretching. After muscle stretching for 60sec, the latency of knee extension reflex was significantly delayed comparative to the value of control and the duration time of muscle activity after 30sec stretching was significantly shorter than it of control. the study of stretching on fatigue muscle has been done using surface EmG power spectral analysis. the results were that the beginning of low frequency appearance was delayed and mean integrative value increasing timing was delayed. [Conclusion in vivo study] these results from in vivo studies suggest that prolonged stretching inhibits muscle excitability and contribute the recovery from fatigue. [method & Results in vitro] On the other hand, muscle force, miniature end plate potential (mEpp) and end plate potential (Epp) were studied in vitro before and after prolonged muscle stretching. On soleus muscle of rat, muscle force significantly increased after stretching but EDL (extensor digitorum longus) force did not change. two minutes stretching to fatigued rat soleus muscle was effectiveness for recovery. the values of amplitude and frequency of mEpp were no-significant difference between

the impact of alpha-fetoprotein (AFp), child-turcotte-pugh (Ctp) score and disease staging on the survival of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients: a retrospective cohort from single oncology center

Background:Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common cause of cancer-related death in saudi Arabia. Our study aimed to investigate the patterns of HCC and the effect of tNm staging, Alfa-fetoprotein (AFp), and Child-turcotte pugh (Ctp) on patients' overall survival (Os).methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 43 HCC patients at a single oncology center in saudi Arabia from 2015 to 2020. All patients had to fulfill one of the following criteria: (a) a liver lesion reported as definitive HCC on dynamic imaging and/or (b) a biopsy-confirmed diagnosis.Results:the mean patient age of all HCC cases was 66.8 with a male-to-female ratio of 3.3:1. All patients were stratified into two groups: viral HCC (n = 22, 51%) and non-viral HCC (n = 21, 49%). Among viral-HCC patients, 55% were due to HBV and 45% due to HCV. Cirrhosis was diagnosed in 79% of cases. Age and sex did not significantly statistically differ in Os among viral and non-viral HCC patients (-value > 0.05). About 65% of patients had tumor size >5 cm during the diagnosis, with a significant statistical difference in Os (-value = 0.027). AFp was >400 ng/ml in 45% of the patients. there was a statistically significant difference in the Os in terms of AFp levels (-value = 0.021). A statistically significant difference was also observed between the Ctp score and Os (-value = 0.02). Ctp class B had the longest survival. BsC was the most common treatment provided to HCC patients followed by sorafenib therapy. there was a significant statistical difference in Os among viral and non-viral HCC patients (-value = 0.008).Conclusions:the most common predictors for Os were the underlying cause of HCC, AFp, and tumor size. Being having non-viral etiology, a tumor size >5 cm, an AFp > 400 ng/mL, and a Ctp score class C were all negatively associated with Os.

transport mechanism in chemically reactive hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic micro-organisms over a curved oscillatory surface

this paper examines the transport analysis, including both heat transfer and mass transfer, in hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic microorganisms towards a curved oscillatory surface. the influence of magnetic fields is also inspected in terms of their physical characteristics. to depict the phenomena of transport, modified versions of both Fick's and Fourier's laws are used. Additionally, the characteristics of both heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical reactions are also incorporated. Utilizing a curvilinear coordinate system, the flow problem is formulated as partial differential equations(pDEs)for momentum, concentration, microorganism field, and energy. An analytical solution to the obtained flow equations is achieved utilizing the homotopy analysis method(HAm).the effects of significant flow parameters on the pressure and microorganism fields, velocity, oscillation velocity, concentration, and temperature distributions are shown via graphs. Furthermore, the variations in skin friction, mass transfer rate, heat transfer rate, and local motile number due to different involved parameters are presented in tables and are analyzed in detail. Graphical results indicate that the curves of velocity and temperature fields are enhanced as the values of the solid volume fraction variables *** is also verified that the concentration rate field decreases as the values of the homogeneous reaction strength parameter and the radius of curvature parameter increase, and it increases with the schmidt number and the heterogeneous reaction strength *** outcomes show a favorable response of the motile number to advanced values of the peclet number, the schmidt number, the microorganism difference parameter, and the bio-convective Lewis number.

A CHALLENGE FOR BIAXIAL AND tRIAXIAL CREEp tEstING

this paper describes new methods for biaxial and triaxial creep testing. Biaxial tension and triaxial tension creep testers were developed. the performance of the machines was described and some test results were discussed. stress biaxiality had almost no effect on the creep deformation and mises potential was suitable for describing the creep deformation under biaxial and triaxial stress states. stress biaxiality had a small influence on prolonging creep rupture time under the constant mises stress condition.A new triaxial tension creep testing method was discussed together with the shape of the triaxial creep specimen.

synergistic fibroblast optimization: a novel nature-inspired computing algorithm

the evolutionary algorithm, a subset of computational intelligence techniques, is a generic population-based stochastic optimization algorithm which uses a mechanism motivated by biological concepts. Bio-inspired computing can implement successful optimization methods and adaptation approaches, which are inspired by the natural evolution and collective behavior observed in species, respectively. Although all the meta-heuristic algorithms have different inspirational sources, their objective is to find the optimum(minimum or maximum), which is problem-specific. We propose and evaluate a novel synergistic fibroblast optimization(sFO) algorithm, which exhibits the behavior of a fibroblast cellular organism in the dermal wound-healing process. Various characteristics of benchmark suites are applied to validate the robustness, reliability, generalization, and comprehensibility of sFO in diverse and complex situations. the encouraging results suggest that the collaborative and self-adaptive behaviors of fibroblasts have intellectually found the optimum solution with several different features that can improve the effectiveness of optimization strategies for solving non-linear complicated problems.

Geophysical lineaments of Western Ghats and adjoining coastal areas of central Kerala,southern India and their temporal development

A family of geophysical lineaments have been identified in ~15,000 km^2 in central Kerala between9 30'N to 10 45'N and 76 00'E to 77°30′E,integrating geophysical data with geological and geomorphological features. the characteristics of these lineaments in the magnetic and gravity fields and their derivatives have been analysed. the evolution of the lineaments has been traced to the temporal phases of global evolution of the region. A group of these faults have formed by reactivation of the deep-seated distensional fractures associated with and accompanying dyke emplacements during the episodic breakup of Gondwana at ~90 and 65 ma under distinctive mantle thermal regimes. It is possible that reactivation of these distensional faults may have started during the cooling interval of time between the two distensions in the 90 and 65 ma and post 65 ma periods and later in the Cenozoic, when the lineaments were enlarged to their present dimension, possibly under the influence of forces that led to the uplift of the western Ghats. these may extend down to the crust-mantle interface. A cluster of youngergeophysical lineaments has been generated by reactivation along the weak planes of transformation of the charnockitic rocks of the precambrian. they seem to have a strike-slip character. they are devoid of any dyke association and were formed on a cold crust. they may be confined to the upper-middle *** were generated in the high intensity intra-plate palaeo-stress fields of the triple forces arising from(1) the back-thrust from the Himalayan Collision;(2) the impact of epeirogenic forces and related isostatic uplift of the Western Ghats and(3) the flexural isostatic uplifts due to surface loads of late mesozoic basaltic lavas and Cenozoic sedimentation in the coastal rifted basins in late Cenozoic, probably in the time span of 20 ma to the present, when the palaeostress fields were most intense.

Continuous segregation of binary heterogeneous solids in fluidized beds

Continuous segregation of a binary mixture of heterogeneous （different density） solids is carried out in a gas-solid fluidized bed. We investigate how gas velocity, solids feed rate, flotsam feed composition, bottom discharge pipe diameter, and minimum fluidization velocity ratio of the flotsam to jetsam parti- cles influence the solids holdup, separation factor, and product quality （flotsam purity at the top outlet）. the results are interpreted in terms of solids holdup information. the results indicate that the separation factor decreases when the gas velocity, bottom discharge pipe diameter, flotsam feed composition, or the minimum fluidization velocity ratio increase, while the separation factor increases as the solids feed rate increases. the product quality decreases when the gas velocity, solids feed rate, or minimum fluidization velocity ratio increase, while the product quality increases as the bottom discharge pipe diameter or flot- sam feed composition increase. Correlations for predicting the separation factor and product quality are proposed using a logistic model for individual flotsam feed compositions, which satisfactorily compares with the present experimental data.

Continuous segregation of binary heterogeneous solids （different density mixtures） is carried out in a gas-solid fluidized bed to study the effects of gas velocity, solids feed rate, feed composition and density difference of solids on the separation factor （recovery of flotsam at top outlet） and the quality of the product （purity of flotsam at top outlet） in a continuous fast-fluidized bed. the holdup of the bed material is obtained in each experimental run. It is observed that the separation factor decreases with increase in solids feed rate or density difference of solids, and increases with gas velocity or proportion of flotsam in the feed. the quality of the product decreases with increase in gas velocity or solids flow rate, and increases with feed composition or density difference of solids. the experimental results show that the separation factor and the quality of the product are more sensitive to gas velocity than to other operating parameters, Empirical correlations for predicting the separation factor and quality of the product are proposed based on the Richards model for individual flotsam mass fraction in the feed, and the predictions agree satisfactorily with the present exlgerimental data,

the optimum friction welding （FW） parameters of duplex stainless steel （Dss） UNs $32205 joint was determined. the experiment was carried out as the central composite array of 30 experiments. the selected input parameters were friction pressure （F）, upset pressure （U）, speed （s） and burn-off length （B）, and responses were hardness and ultimate tensile strength. to achieve the quality of the welded joint, the ultimate tensile strength and hardness were maximized, and response surface methodology （Rsm） was applied to create separate regression equations of tensile strength and hardness. Intelligent optimization technique such as genetic algorithm was used to predict the pareto optimal solutions. Depending upon the application, preferred suitable welding parameters were selected. It was inferred that the changing hardness and tensile strength of the friction welded joint influenced the upset pressure, friction pressure and speed of rotation.

the benefits of regular physical activity are well ***,few studies have examined the effectiveness of integrating physical activity(pA)into curricula within a post-secondary *** investigate the incorporation of pA into medical curriculum,we developed a series of optional exercise-based review sessions designed to reinforce musculoskeletal(msK)anatomy course *** synchronous sessions were co-taught by a group fitness instructor and an anatomy *** fitness instructor would lead students through both strength and yoga style exercises,while the anatomy instructor asked questions about relevant anatomical structures related to course material previously *** the sessions,participants were asked to evaluate the classes on their self-reported exam preparedness in improving msK anatomy knowledge,pA levels,and mental *** participants completed surveys;a majority agreed that the classes increased understanding of msK concepts(90.0%)and activity levels(97.7%).many(70.0%)felt that the classes helped reduce *** majority of respondents(90.0%)agreed that the classes contributed to increased feelings of social ***,medical students saw benefit in pA based interventions to supplement msK course *** with increasing activity levels and promoting health behaviours,integrating pA into medical curriculum may improve comprehension of learning material,alleviate stress and foster social connectivity among medical students.
