This research wo.k centered o. the determinatio. o. Liberatio. Size and Enrichment o. Enyigba Lead o.e in Ebo.yi state, Nigeria. The study reviews the fundamental o.eratio.s in mineral pro.essing i.e. the co.minutio. pro.ess fo. the release and liberatio. o. the valuable minerals particles fro. the o.e asso.iatio., and the eventual separatio. and co.centratio. o. the valuables fro. the gangue. The o.e was pulverized, sieved to.liberatio. size and beneficiated. The mesh o. grind was fo.nd to.be 189 μm, and the liberatio. size was established to.be 63 μm sieve size having the highest percentage o. lead o. 15.1% then enriched to.69.8% by fro.h flo.atio. metho. and was assessed by using x-ray fluo.escence (XRF). The lead co.centrate by weight was o.tained to.be 81.80%, co.firmed being o. high eco.o.ic grade having surpassed 60% wt Pb element in an o.e. It is ho.ed that this will enhance its develo.ment to.meet bo.h lo.al and internatio.al demand fo. po.ential investment o.po.tunities.

In fields like astro.o.y and radar techno.o.y, high-gain antennas are required fo. lo.g-distance co.municatio.. Due to.its relatively large gain, the use o. parabo.ic antennas has beco.e very po.ular o.er time, because they can easily achieve gains o. abo.e 30 dB at micro.ave and higher frequencies. To.ay, mo.t systems’ success depends o. ho. well the antennas perfo.m. These antennas are available in different types and sizes. Each antenna’s effective area usually has less than the actual physical area o. the antenna surface. This means that the unused area o. the antenna is massive, and a waste. The aim o. the research is to.sho. that the actual physical aperture o. a parabo.ic antenna can be reduced as much as po.sible to.equal the effective area, as given by the antenna fo.mula, thereby saving manufacturing co.ts, impro.e the aesthetics. In o.her wo.ds, the fo.us o. this wo.k is to.experimentally sho. that reflecto. antenna can be made o. smaller sizes but better perfo.mance. Mucuna slo.nei (MS) an enviro.mentally friendly bio.ass was used as a co.gulant fo. treatment o. pho.pho.us co.taining waste water. The study evaluates the co.g-flo.culatio. efficiency o. MS and its functio.al kinetic parameter respo.se to.varying pH and do.age o. the waste water effluent. Co.g-flo.culatio. reactio. o.der α, co.g-flo.culatio. rate co.stant K, and co.gulatio. perio. τ1/2 were determined. The maximum co.g-flo.culatio. perfo.mance (97.4%) is reco.ded at rate co.stant, K o. 1.24 × 10-4 l/mg·min, do.age o. 400 mg/l, pH o. 8 and co.gulatio. perio. τ1/2 o. 0.100 min while the minimum (61%) is reco.ded at K o. 3 × 10-5 l/gm·min, do.age 100 mg/l, pH o. 2 and τ1/2 o. 8.900 mins. The results co.firm that MS co.gulant is an effective co.gulant o.eying the theo.y o. fast co.gulatio. in the co.ditio.s o. the experiments.

The physical and mental develo.ment o. pupils co.ld be arrested by inadequate fo.d intake and infectio. with immediate and lo.g term co.sequences. This has implicatio.s o. decreased scho.l perfo.mances, lo.er intelligent quo.ient levels, po.r psycho.o.ial develo.ment, and decreased co.nitive functio.s. This study assessed the gro.th and bo.y fat distributio. amo.g pupils aged 5 - 19 years. A cro.s-sectio.al study was co.ducted amo.g pupils fro. five primary scho.ls in different co.munities aro.nd Kainji Dam. This assessment was based o. a co.pariso. with reference standards set by the Wo.ld Health o.ganizatio. to.determine their deviatio.s. A qualified registered nurse carried o.t physical measurements to.o.tain age, height, and bo.y weight using electro.ic weighing scale and stadio.eter. Data were analyzed using Anthro.lusv1.0.4 so.tware. The o.erall prevalence o. stunting was 21.5% with 8% being severely stunted. The prevalence o. thinness was 35.2% with 11.2% being wasted while the o.erall prevalence o. underweight was no. calculated fo. children > 10 years o.d. The prevalence o. underweight fo. 5 - 10 years o.d children was 16.9% with 2.4% being severely underweight. The curves fo. bo.h male and female children deviated fro. no.mal distributio.. Females have higher percentage o. stunting than males. This study revealed a high prevalence o. thinness and stunting which is the co.sequence o. po.r nutritio. arising fro. multifaceted and interrelated circumstances such as po.r feeding, eating practices and repeated infectio.. Interventio. such as Ho.e Gro.n Scho.l Feeding Pro.ramme o. the Go.ernment is a right step in impro.ing the nutritio.al status o. pupils in rural co.munities.

HBV, HCV and bo.h HBV and HCV (ii) HBV and o. HCV sero.o.itivity and age o. gender, (iii) assess gender and liver functio. markers and (iv) update data o. liver functio. and simple diagno.tic markers. o.g>Materials and Metho.s: o.g>This was a pro.pective, cro.s sectio.al study o. asympto.atic individuals presenting at the Clinical Diagno.tic Labo.ato.y o. Nigerian Institute o. Medical Research (NIMR), Yaba, Lago., Nigeria fro. January 2018 to.August 2020. Markers o. liver functio. were investigated o. hepatitis B and o. C sero.po.itive and negative participants using TC Matrix Chemistry analyser (Teco.Diagno.tics, USA) and Bio.ase reagent Kits. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. o.g>Results:o.g> o.t o. 475 participants, 60.4% were males and 39.6% females. 53% o. males and 32.5% o. females were sero.po.itive fo. HBV while 32.5% o. males and 14.5% o. females were sero.po.itive fo. HCV. 75.3% and 76.1% o. Age gro.p 20 - 40 years were sero.po.itive fo. Hepatitis B and C respectively. Mean AST levels o. 17.49 ± 13.69, 33.46 ± 93.42 and 19.82 ± 12.54 respectively amo.g tho.e sero.po.itive fo. HBV, HCV, and bo.h HBV and HCV. Mean ALT levels o. 17.68 ± 14.32, 40.26 ± 13.86 and 20.04 ± 12.78 respectively fo. HBV, HCV and bo.h HBV and HCV sero.po.itive cases. Mean ALP levels were 77.52 ± 34.0 fo. o.jective: This is to.determine the plasma lipid pro.ile status o. patients diagno.ed with gestatio.al diabetes mellitus. Metho.o.o.y: Seventy-nine pregnant wo.en between gestatio.al age o. 24 and 28 weeks o.t o. which 23 and 16 were diagno.ed o. having GDM using IADAPSG and WHo.guidelines respectively were recruited into.the study. Plasma lipid pro.ile was determined amo.g the study gro.ps using standard labo.ato.y techniques. Results: Higher numbers o. wo.en were diagno.ed with GDM using IASDAPG criteria than when WHo.criteria were used. Plasma lipid pro.ile sho.ed no.significant difference between wo.en with GDM and No.-GDM irrespective o. guidelines used in the diagno.is o. GDM. Co.clusio.: Pregnancy and Gestatio.al Diabetes Mellitus may have influence o. lipid metabo.ism but no. likely in the seco.d trimester o. pregnancy as o.served in o.r study.
