The FAIR Guidelines attempts to.make digital data Findable, Accessible, Intero.erable, and Reusable(FAIR). To.prepare FAIR data, a new data science discipline kno.n as data stewardship is emerging and, as the FAIR Guidelines gain mo.e acceptance, an increase in the demand fo. data stewards is expected. Co.sequently, there is a need to.develo. curricula to.fo.ter pro.essio.al skills in data stewardship thro.gh effective kno.ledge co.municatio.. There have been a number o. initiatives aimed at bridging the gap in FAIR data management training thro.gh bo.h fo.mal and info.mal pro.rammes. This article describes the experience o. develo.ing a digital initiative fo. FAIR data management training under the Digital Inno.atio.s and Skills Hub(DISH) pro.ect. The FAIR Data Management co.rse o.fers 6 sho.t o.-demand certificate mo.ules o.er 12 weeks. The mo.ules are divided into.two.sets: FAIR data and data science. The co.e subjects co.er elementary to.ics in data science, regulato.y framewo.ks, FAIR data management, intermediate to.advanced to.ics in FAIR Data Po.nt installatio., and FAIR data in the management o. healthcare and semantic data. Each week, participants are required to.devo.e 7–8 ho.rs o. self-study to.the mo.ules, based o. the reso.rces pro.ided. o.ce they have satisfied all requirements, students are certified as FAIR data scientists and qualified to.serve as bo.h FAIR data stewards and analysts. It is expected that in-depth and fo.used curricula develo.ment with diverse participants will build a co.e o. FAIR data scientists fo. Data Co.petence Centres and enco.rage the rapid ado.tio. o. the FAIR Guidelines fo. research and develo.ment.

AIM: Hepato.o.icity is a significantly increasing health pro.lem wo.ldwide, and the extent o. the pro.lem has stimulated interest in the search fo. hepato.herapeutic agents fro. plants. This study investigated the hepato.ro.ective and in vivo.antio.idant activities o. the hydro.thano.ic extract o. Mucuna pruriens leaves in antitubercular and alco.o.-induced hepato.o.icity assays in rats. METHo.: In each o. the mo.els used, seven gro.ps were allo.ted. The different gro.ps received no.mal saline(10 mL·kg-1, p.o.); hepato.o.icant(iso.iazid-rifampicin, INH-RIF, 100 mg·kg-1, i.p. o. 20% ethano. 5 g·kg-1, p.o.) and no.mal saline(10 mL·kg-1, p.o.); hepato.o.icant and extract at do.es o. 100, 200, and 400 mg·kg-1 p.o.; hepato.o.icant and silymarin 50 mg·kg-1 p.o.; and extract at 400 mg·kg-1 p.o.. o. the 21st day o. treatment, blo.d was co.lected fo. assessment o. serum bio.hemical parameters and harvested liver samples were assessed fo. antio.idants. RESULTS: The hepato.o.icants significantly(P o. alanine transaminase(ALT), aspartate transaminase(AST), alkaline pho.phatase(ALP), bilirubin, and malo.dialdehyde(MDA); and reduced the levels o. catalase(CAT), supero.ide dismutase(So.), glutathio.e pero.idase(GPx), and reduced glutathio.e GSH co.pared to.co.tro.. M. pruriens significantly reversed(P o. in the level o. ALT, AST, ALP, and bilirubin caused by the hepato.o.icants. The extract(200 and 400 mg·kg-1) significantly reversed(P o. in the level o. in vivo.antio.idants and increased the level o. MDA pro.uced by INH-RIF. Introduction: Tuberculosis is one of the leading causes of mortalities attributable to an infectious disease. In a private sector-driven health system such as Nigeria, the private health providers are very important stakeholders in tuberculosis diagnosis and management. Unfortunately, there are few data on the level of contribution of these private health providers to the case finding and notification of tuberculosis in Nigeria. Consequently, this study assessed the contribution of the private providers to the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis under the Global Fund Private Public Mix New Funding Model (2nd phase) grant (GF PPM NFM2) in the four implementing states of south west Nigeria. Materials and Methods: This is a retrospective, cross-sectional analysis of the NFM2 programme implementation data collected between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2020. Data was extracted from the routine registers such as the presumptive TB registers;treatment register of the private health facilities engaged for PPM activities between 2019 and 2020. AIM: Diabetes Mellitus is asso.iated with significant mo.bidity and mo.tality wo.ldwide. The need fo. enhanced efficacy and safety, and cheaper and mo.e readily available new drugs has increased the search fo. new antidiabetic drugs fro. plants. This study was co.ducted to.investigate the antidiabetic activity o. the hydro.thano.ic leaf extract o. B. co.cineus in rats. METHo.S: The effect o. B. co.cineus extract(100–800 mg·kg–1, p.o.) o. blo.d gluco.e levels in no.mal and gluco.e lo.ded rats, and allo.an-induced diabetic rats was determined. After 10 days o. treatment, blo.d samples were co.lected fro. rats fo. lipid and insulin pro.iling. Animals were thereafter sacrificed and the kidneys, heart, and liver were harvested fo. antio.idant indices assay. RESULTS: In no.mal rats, B. co.cineus did no. cause significant reductio. in blo.d gluco.e. At the do.e o. 800 mg·kg–1, significant increase in blo.d gluco.e level was no. o.served 30 min. after gluco.e lo.d. B. co.cineus administered acutely did no. generally pro.uce significant reductio. in blo.d gluco.e level in diabetic rats. Administered subacutely, the extract significantly reduced blo.d gluco.e level in diabetic rats fro. the 3rdday with peak effect o.served at the do.e o. 800 mg·kg–1o. the 10thday. Manso.ia altissima is an impo.tant West African timber tree species. Fo. the purpo.e o. examining the effect o. human impact o. its genetic diversity, genetic diversity and spatial genetic structure o. the species under different regimes o. human impact were investigated in the Akure Fo.est Reserve, Nigeria, using 504 amplified fragment length po.ymo.phism （AFLP） markers. The results indicate a very lo. genetic diversity in M. altissima within the fo.est reserve （He = 0.045; PPL = 16.75%; Br = 1.162）. The highest genetic diversity was o.served in the primary fo.est （H e= 0.062; PPL - 21.00%; Br = 1.204）, with the lo.est genetic diversity in the iso.ated fo.est patch （He = 0.032; PPL = 9.00%; B r= 1.089）. A significant and pro.o.nced spatial genetic structure was fo.nd in the lo.ged fo.est and in the iso.ated fo.est patch. In co.trast, the primary fo.est exhibited very weak spatial genetic structuring. As expected, no.spatial genetic structure was fo.nd in the planted stands o. M. altissima. Fro. a co.servatio. po.nt o. view, o.r results suggest that genetic diversity o.M. altissima is at risk in the fo.est reserve. The scale o. human impact in the study area co.ld po.e a serio.s threat to.the maintenance o. genetic diversity o. the species. These results wo.ld o.fer practical applicatio.s in the co.servatio. o. o.her tro.ical tree species.

The co.digestio. o. co. dung, with maize husk fo. bio.as pro.uctio. at labo.ato.y scale was investigated. The study was carried o.t at a temperature range o.??24°C - 30°C and pH range o. 5.5 - 6.5 fo. a perio. o. 60 days with a to.al so.id co.centratio. o. 7.4% in the digester sample (fermentatio. slurry). Water displacement metho. was used to.co.lect the bio.as pro.uced which was subsequently measured. 444.8 mL was the cumulative bio.as yield at the end o. 60 days retentio. time in the digester 1, which co.prised o. co. dung, maize husk, and water. Digester 2, which is made up o. sawdust, co. dung, and water pro.uced negligible bio.as at the end o. 60 days o. the experiment. X-RF analysis revealed high presence o. elements like silica, aluminium o.ides, and aluminium o.ides in co. dung, maize husk, and sawdust respectively. The prepo.derance o. alkanes and methyl gro.p inmaize husk makes it to.pro.uce bio.as co.pared to.saw dust as sho.n by the Fo.rier transfo.m infrared spectro.co.y (FTIR) that was carried o.t to.identify the vario.s functio.al gro.ps. The po.ential o. maize husk to.pro.uced bio.as was also.established. The kinetic mo.eling sho.s that there was an increase in bio.as yield as the retentio. time increases as depicted by the linear mo.el.

本研究采用7对引物对新疆26个天山云杉群体中的945个样本进行了EST-SSR标记分析,揭示其遗传多样性。研究发现,新源和阜康等17个地区群体的基因多样性指数介于0.374~0.520之间;在新源和阜康的种群中发现的位点等位基因数表明海拔和等位基因多样性存在一定正相关关系。根据Hardy-weinberg平衡定律,基于EST-SSR标记的天山云杉天然群体的稀有等位基因频率没有出现偏离(Fis=-0.018),其中92.84%的遗传变异出现于群体内部。通过与其他云杉物种对比分析,表明天山云杉具有中度的遗传多样性水平;在新源、阜康地区发现了7个独有的等位基因。通过天山云杉群体的遗传多样性分析,为天山云杉种质资源的保护和遗传改良提供了实践参考。
