:surface electromyogram(sEMG)processing and classication can assist neurophysiological standardization and evaluation and provide habitational *** timing of muscle activation is critical in determining various medical conditions when looking at sEMG *** muscle activation timing allows identication of muscle locations and feature validation for precise *** work aims to develop a predictive model to investigate and interpret Patellofemoral(PF)osteoarthritis based on features extracted from the sEMG signal using pattern *** this end,sEMG signals were acquired from ve core muscles over about 200 reads from healthy adult patients while they were going ***,offset,and time duration for the Transversus Abdominus(TrA),Vastus Medialis Obliquus(VMO),Gluteus Medius(GM),Vastus Lateralis(VL),and Multidus Muscles(ML)were acquired to construct a classication *** proposed classication model investigates function mapping from real-time space to a PF osteoarthritis discriminative feature *** activation feature space of muscle timing is used to train several large margin classiers to modulate muscle activations and account for such activation *** fast large margin classier achieved higher performance and faster convergence than support vector machines(sVMs)and other state-of-the-art *** proposed sEMG classication framework achieved an average accuracy of 98.8%after 7 s training time,improving other classication techniques in previous literature.

BACKGROUND Leishmaniasis is a neglected zoonotic disease,endemic in *** this disease is very important to inform the health care policymakers and the governments to apply proper health and economic *** To find out the frequency and distribution of human leishmaniasis based on sex and age for 5 years in the West Kordofan state,*** A 5-year retrospective study from 2016 through 2020 was carried out using local hospital records of leishmaniasis *** positive results were recorded after performing at least one of the following leishmaniasis standard tests:direct agglutination test,enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and leishmania skin *** sex and age of each patient were *** collected data were analyzed using sTATA package version *** A total of 162443 patient records from 2016 to 2020 were *** these,4.39%were found to be positive for *** disease has been more common in males(65.3%)than in females(34.7%).The highest reported prevalence(6.58%)was in patients 15-44 years,and the lowest prevalence(1.95%)was among patients≥65 *** The results of the current study indicate that leishmaniasis is endemic in the study area even though the numbers of patients in the 5 consecutive years were *** addition,the disease was common in males and *** interpretation of these findings should take into consideration the absence of information about some important confounding factors.

In response to the global food crisis and the imperative to address soil degradation, the international agricultural policy is actively working to alleviate the adverse impacts of soil salinity. As part of this initiative, a field trial spanning two consecutive seasons (2019/20-2020/21) was conducted under saline conditions. The primary objective was to evaluate the influence of various compost sources, including vermicompost at a rate of 0.5 ton·fedsup>-1sup> and plant residues compost at a rate of 5.0 ton·fedsup>-1sup>, as main plots. subplots were established by applying agricultural gypsum, both in the presence and absence of gypsum requirements. Additionally, sub-subplots were created by externally applying cobalt at a rate of 10.0 mg·Lsup>-1sup>, with one sub-subplot receiving foliar cobalt application and the other not. The trial sought to assess the growth performance, chemical composition, enzymatic antioxidants, yield, and quality of cabbage plants (Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.) cultivated in saline soil. According to the findings, cabbage plants exhibited the most favorable response in terms of plant height, chlorophyll content, carotene levels, leaf area, nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), head yield, vitamin C, and total dissolved solids (TDs) when treated with vermicompost, followed by plant compost. Conversely, plants grown without compost exhibited the least improvement in performance. Cabbage treated with agricultural gypsum requirements showed better performance than those without gypsum amendment. Moreover, plants subjected to cobalt spray demonstrated the highest growth, yield, and quality parameters compared to those without cobalt foliar application. In contrast, the control group (plants without the studied treatments) displayed the highest levels of enzymatic antioxidants, specifically catalase and peroxidase. This indicates that soil salinity stress led to an increase in catalase and peroxidase production in cabbage

The head and neck region is a complex area composed of several dissimilar structures。Cancers in this region are treated with surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy or a combination of the three modalities。Due to the fact that there are increasing number of aged and dentate patients that are being treated for oral cancer and to the fact that patients are expecting more from the dental profession with respect to the quality of life which affects their eating, appearance and speech, we are faced with the challenge of providing dental rehabilitation and follow up for this group of patients。At King Hussein cancer Centre we have a head and neck cancer clinic that started in 2003, during the past five years we treated 502 head and neck cancer patients, both adults and paediatrics。These cancers included oral cavity, salivary tumors, sinuses, nasopharyngeal, mandibular and cancers of unknown origin。Many oral problems were encountered ranging from tumor recurrence, restricted mouth opening, radiation caries, xerostomia, osteoradionecrosis and others。Conclusion: It is mandatory to have a well trained dental oncologist among the head and neck team, for timely and proper dental treatment planning and follow up, as well as collaboration between the various medical specialities to ensure early referral to dental clinics。We also believe in the importance of educating these patients about the nature of their disease, complications and the difficulty and time consuming process of dental treatment in this disease。

A search for the rare decay B^(0)→J/ψФis performed using Pp collision data collected with the LHCb dete-ctor at centre-of-mass energies of 7,8 and 13 TeV,corresponding to an integrated luminosity of9 *** significant signal of the decay is observed and an upper limitof 1.1x 10^(-7)at 90%confidence level is set on the branching fraction.

Infectious bursal disease(IBD)is an important contagious viral infection of immune system of *** infection possesses a permanent threat to the profitability of poultry industry *** aim of this work was to modify the Taq Man-MGB real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(rRT-PCR)in one step involving two fluorogenic Taq Man labeled probe and using this protocol for detection of infectious bursal disease virus(IBDV)collected from suspected cases distributed in different regions of the country during the period *** intralaboratory validation of modified method was realized for specificity,linearity,repeatability,sensitivity and *** allowed reducing the test running time by six *** method was applied on 102 pools of bursa of fabricius(BF)samples collected from affected broiler farms suspected to be infected by *** showing macroscopic lesions including muscle petechial hemorrhages,hypertrophy and hemorrhage of BF,were subjected to molecular analysis using modified protocol“Taq Man-MGB rRT-PCR”.The validation satisfied all criteria and the assay developed could be a useful tool for a very rapid diagnosis of IBDV and permit to detect and to discriminate in one-step very virulent(vv)from non-vv(classic and variant)IBDV *** of 84 IBDV positive samples,a prevalence of 39%for vv strains and 61%for classical strains was *** results indicate that despite the vaccination against IBDV,the vv form of this pathologie continues to cause serious problems for Moroccan broiler *** obtained results indicate the successfully detection of IBDV and differentiated all vvIBDV strains from non-vvIBDV strains;Avian infectious agent RNA viruses tested are negative,demonstrating great specificity of the *** results obtained indicate that this method is suitable as a routine laboratory test for the rapid detection and differentiation of IBDV strains in samples of avian origin.

strong>Introduction:strong> The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVid-19) was declared as pandemic by WHO by March 11th. First case reported in Oman was on 24th February 2020 and later the country went through stages of epidemic progression. This study describes the sociodemographic and epidemiological characteristics of confirmed COVid-19 cases in Muscat governorate and related outcomes. strong>Materials and Methods:strong> This is a descriptive, exploratory analysis of all lab confirmed COVid 19 cases that were reported from 1st February to 31st May 2020. Data for the study was primarily extracted from notifications system established for surveillance (Tarassud). secondary data sources were, contact listings and hospital medical records.strong> Results:strong> 11,648 initial cases of confirmed COVid-19 infections were included. The mean age was 35 years, 84.7% (N = 9862) were males, 25.9% (N = 3017) were Omanis, and 74.1% (N = 8631) were expatriates of which Indian origin were the majority (37%). Fever and cough were the most common presentations (46.3% and 29.5% respectively). Diabetes and hypertension were the most common comorbidities (4.9% and 4.6% respectively). Hospital admission was required for 7% (N = 811) of the total reported cases, out of them 171 cases (21%) were admitted to ICU, where 107 (13.2%) were ventilated. The case fatality rate (CFR) was 0.9%. 158 clusters containing 2949 contacts were identified from case records and categorised into 3 groups based on their exposure settings. The incubation period measured was 8 days (IQR 4.0 - 15.0) for workplace, 8 days (IQR 4 - 17) for dormitory and 4 days (IQR 2.0 - 7.0) for family groups. The secondary attack rate (sAR) estimated was 41.6% (95% CI: 0.34 - 0.48), 52% (95% CI: 0.40 - 0.63) and 33% (95% CI: 0.27 - 0.38) for workplace, dormitory and family groups, respectively. strong>Conclusion:strong> Results of this study, determine the transmission trend of COVid-19 in a country with high immigran

目的:研究积雪草皂苷和曲安奈德单独及联合治疗兔耳模型瘢痕的疗效。方法:在20只新西兰兔的耳朵上造成增生性瘢痕,术后第28天开始治疗,新西兰兔分为4组,第1组使用病灶内曲安奈德(TAC)治疗,第2组使用积雪草皂苷治疗,第3组使用两者联合治疗,第4组为控制组。在术后第56天,处死所有新西兰兔,收集伤疤,并使用苏木精-伊红(HE)染色、马松三色染色和CD34免疫组织化学进行处理。结果:各组的ETI如下:组1、2和3,相比对照组,分别下降61.2%、21%和43.3%。sEI下降如下:组1、2和3,相比对照组,分别为40.3%、18.7%和33.3%。马松染色表明,各研究组胶原纤维减少;更细,更有规律。此外,CD34染色表明,各研究组微脉管形成也均减少,检测各组CD34阳性细胞,检测值如下:组1(10.00±7.04),组2(32.5±22.15),组3(20.67±15.83)和组4(43.83±23.95)。结论:TAC比积雪草皂苷和两种药物的联合效果更好,但是两种药物联合比单独使用各个药物表现出更好的胶原排列。

随着城市社会经济的迅速发展，工业主导的城市化过程带来了许多城市生态环境问题，引起了城市内河水质的恶化。采用1996～2000年喀什市吐曼河水质观测数据、1990年与1999年卫星遥感图像和城市发展中有关的社会经济统计数据与土地利用资料，在3s技术的支持下，运用地表水污染综合指数法，对吐曼河水质进行评价，定量与定性相结合分析了干旱区城市化对城市内河水质的影响。结果表明：大气中的总悬浮颗粒是导致吐曼河水质严重污染的主要原因。此外，城市化所带来得人口增加、工业化与土地利用方式的改变也一定程度的影响了吐曼河的水质。
