Constructing analytical estimates of the fuzzy fractional-order Boussinesq model and their application in oceanography

Combined influence of Ce(Ⅲ)and iodide ions for corrosion protection of AA 2024-T3 in acidic to neutral chloride-rich environments:Electrochemical and surface characterization studies

It has been reported that trivalent cerium salts are effective inhibitors for corrosion of AA2024-T3 in neutral to alkaline co rrosive enviro nments,but poor in acidic *** this study,work was done for extending corrosion resistance provided by Ce(NO_(3))_(3)to acidic pHs as low as 2.5 through the addition of iodide *** this end,potentiodynamic polarization was used to ascertain the optimum Ce(Ⅲ)concentration for the inhibition of AA2024-T3 corrosion in 3.5%NaCl *** optimum concentration is found to be in a range between 0.1 and 0.3 mmol/L Ce(Ⅲ).This optimum concentration also gives a maximum width of the passive region under the pitting potential(Epit).Based on this optimization,further work was performed as a function of pH without and in the presence of 0.01 mol/L KI at five pH values(2.5,4,5,7,and 8).Without iodide the best inhibition provided by the Ce(Ⅲ)cation is at pH=7 but active corrosion is observed at pH=2.5 with an estimated inhibitor efficiency(-37.6%).The addition of iodide ions(I^(-))reverses the poor corrosion resistance whereby the inhibitor efficiency becomes 47.7%.Moreover,at pH=4 the efficiency is also increased from 54.0%to 81.0%with iodide addition providing a significant improvement over Ce(Ⅲ)cations alone under acidic *** is a synergistic effect between I-anion and Ce(Ⅲ)cation,which is determined to be 2.4 and 2.1 at pH=2.5and 4.0,*** pH=5 and 7 there is virtually no change in inhibition but at pH=8 the inhibition falls away due to a considerable amount of cerium precipitating out of solution as cerium *** protective film formed on sites in the aluminium alloy surface at different pH values was examined by both scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray analysis and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy to determine the role of these ions as a function of pH in surface *** is proposed that at pH=2.5 protection is provided by a bilayer adsorption of iodide with"cap

Objectives:To determine the association of Human leukocyte antigen B(HLA‑B)alleles with ankylosing spondylitis and the allelic association of HLAB27 with endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 1(ERAP1)single-nucleotide polymorphism(sNP)rs30187 in patients with ankylosing spondylitis(As).Methods:We studied 48 consecutively enrolled well-defined As patients and 48 healthy controls recruited from the outpatient clinic of the rheumatology department of Bangabandhu sheikh Mujib Medical University(BsMMU),Dhaka,*** genotype HLA-B alleles from peripheral blood DNA,we designed sequence-specific primers for polymerase chain ***'s sequencing method was used to detect the ERAP1 rs30187 *** HLA-B allele distributions were compared between cases and *** infer an allelic association between HLA-B27 and ERAP1,allele distributions from both loci were compared using ***-squared test or Fisher's exact test was used to quantify the association,and their strength of association was tested by odds ratio(OR)with 95%confidence interval(CI).Results:The frequency of HLA-B27 was found to be higher in As patients(60.4%)than in healthy controls(8.3%).HLA-B27 allele had an OR of 16.8(95%CI=5.2–54.4)for the development of ***,4%of As patients had both HLA-B27 and *** significant association was found between ERAP1 rs30187 sNP and HLA-B27 in patients with As(OR=1.7,95%CI=0.5–5.6).Conclusions:HLA-B27 was significantly associated with As in patients in ***,no association between ERAP1 rs30187 sNP and HLA-B27 was observed.

Assessment of COVid-19 Vaccine Acceptance and Willingness to Pay by Nigerians

strong>Introduction:strong> The COVid-19 Pandemic has affected critical sectors of human development. To curtail these effects, vaccines are being approved for human trials. It is, therefore, important to know the possible vaccine coverage expected in each country. This study determined the willingness of Nigerians to accept and pay for COVid-19 vaccine. strong>Methods:strong> A cross-sectional web-based survey across all states of Nigeria was conducted via a structured e-questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, ANOVA and multinomial logistic regression were conducted. strong>Result:strong> A total of 502 responses were obtained from all six geopolitical zones of Nigeria, comprising 67.3% males (n = 338) and 32.7% females (n = 164). The results indicated that 34.7% (n = 167) are willing to accept the vaccine when given for free, 33.9% (n = 163) are not willing, and up to 31.4% (n = 151) are indifferent in their decision. Univariate analysis indicated the likelihood that education level could influence willingness to accept the vaccine (F = 2.408, p = 0.049). Rollout strategies may have an impact (p ss to accept the vaccine. These strategies include providing incentives, making it compulsory and paying for the vaccine with F = 186.983 and eta = 0.657, F =71.620 and Eta = 0.476, F = 108.696 and Eta = 0.552, respectively. strong>Conclusion:strong> The study revealed a possibility of the low willingness of Nigerians to accept COVid-19 vaccine. Providing incentives is likely to improve coverage, while making the vaccine compulsory may increase rejection. This study, therefore, serves as a gateway for government and policymakers on how best to prime and penetrate the society to achieve massive COVid-19 vaccine coverage in Nigeria.

Classification of electroencephalogram(EEG)signals for humans can be achieved via artificial intelligence(AI)***,the EEG signals associated with seizure epilepsy can be detected to distinguish between epileptic and non-epileptic *** this perspective,an automated AI technique with a digital processing method can be used to improve these *** paper proposes two classifiers:long short-term memory(LsTM)and support vector machine(sVM)for the classification of seizure and non-seizure EEG *** classifiers are applied to a public dataset,namely the University of Bonn,which consists of 2 classes–seizure and *** addition,a fast Walsh-Hadamard Transform(FWHT)technique is implemented to analyze the EEG signals within the recurrence space of the ***,Hadamard coefficients of the EEG signals are obtained via the ***,the FWHT is contributed to generate an efficient derivation of seizure EEG recordings from non-seizure EEG ***,a k-fold cross-validation technique is applied to validate the performance of the proposed *** LsTM classifier provides the best performance,with a testing accuracy of 99.00%.The training and testing loss rates for the LsTM are 0.0029 and 0.0602,respectively,while the weighted average precision,recall,and F1-score for the LsTM are 99.00%.The results of the sVM classifier in terms of accuracy,sensitivity,and specificity reached 91%,93.52%,and 91.3%,*** computational time consumed for the training of the LsTM and sVM is 2000 and 2500 s,*** results show that the LsTM classifier provides better performance than sVM in the classification of EEG ***,the proposed classifiers provide high classification accuracy compared to previously published classifiers.

Optimum alternate material selection methodology for an aircraft skin

Weight penalty has been a challenge for design engineers of aerospace ***’s high-efficiency combat aircraft undergoes intense stress and strain during flying missions,which require stronger and stiffer materials to retain structural *** metallic materials have been successfully used for the construction of aircraft structures and components,metals still have a low strength-to-weight *** paper aims to develop an alternate optimised material selection methodology to replace the metallic skin of a medium-sized military *** search for the optimum material will result in reduced aircraft weight which will be benefitted by extra payload on the *** selection methodology is comprised of finding design pressure limits on the aircraft skin,and comparison of properties(strength,elastic modulus,shear modulus,etc.)and performance(safety factor,deflection,and stress)of the existing metallic skin with alternate optimised *** comparison was made under aerodynamic pressure,bending force,and twisting *** Fibre Reinforced Polymer/Epoxy(CFRP)Uni-Directional(UD)prepreg(elastic modolus is 209 GPa)was selected as an alternate optimum material to replace the aluminium alloy skin of the aircraft *** selected alternate optimum material resulted in the reduction of aircraft skin weight by 30%.

An outbreak of Ebola virus disease(EVD)(sudan virus)was first reported in the Republic of Uganda on september 20,*** of November 17,2022,151 confirmed cases have been reported,including 55 deaths(with a case fatality rate among confirmed cases of 39%).During the EVD outbreak in 2013–2016,international travel played a significant role in the spread of the disease across national *** that time,several tasks requiring improvement were identified in the World Health Organization(WHO)southeast Asia Region(sEAR),including inadequate risk communication and risk assessment,data management gaps for surveillance purposes,inadequate capacity in molecular diagnostic techniques,lack of adequate planning for a surge of cases,and inadequate isolation *** is therefore recommended that all countries of the WHO sEAR revisit their level of Ebola preparedness and address existing *** emergence and rapid global spread of coronavirus disease 2019(COVid-19)have reiterated that the world has become a global *** was confirmed by the spread of the monkeypox virus with cases reported in the WHO ***,given the weak health infrastructure in the region,complacency could wreak havoc on the healthcare system if another epidemic emerges without an adequate level of preparedness.

DDos attacks in the Internet of Things(IoT)technology have increased significantly due to its spread adoption in different industrial *** purpose of the current research is to propose a novel technique for detecting botnet attacks in user-oriented IoT ***,an attack identification technique inspired by Recurrent Neural networks and Bidirectional Long short Term Memory(BLRNN)is presented using a unique Deep Learning(DL)*** text identification and translation of attack data segments into tokenized form,word embedding is *** performance analysis of the presented technique is performed in comparison to the state-of-the-art DL ***,Accuracy(98.4%),specificity(98.7%),sensitivity(99.0%),F-measure(99.0%)and Data loss(92.36%)of the presented BLRNN detection model are determined for identifying 4 attacks over Botnet(Mirai).The results show that,although adding cost to each epoch and increasing computation delay,the bidirectional strategy is more superior technique model over different data instances.
