Background:The therapeutic effectiveness of interleukin-6 receptor inhibitor in critically ill hospitalized patients with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)is uncertain.Methods:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of the outcome as recovery or death of tocilizumab for severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2(SARS-CoV-2)infection,we conducted a randomized,double-blinded,placebo-controlled phase 2 trial in critically ill COVID-19 adult patients.The patients were randomly assigned in a 4:1 ratio to receive standard medical treatment plus the recommended dose of either tocilizumab or the placebo drug.Randomization was stratified.The primary outcome was the recovery or death after administration of tocilizumab or a placebo drug.The secondary outcomes were clinical recovery or worsening of the patients’symptoms and inflammatory markers and discharge from the hospital.Results:Of 190 patients included in this study,152 received tocilizumab,and 38 received a placebo.The duration of hospital stay of the interventional group was 12.9±9.2,while the placebo group had a more extended hospital stay(15.6±8.8).The mortality ratio for the primary outcome,ie,mortality or recovery in the tocilizumab group was 17.8%;p=0.58 by log-rank test).The mortality ratio in the placebo group was 76.3%;p=0.32 by log-rank test).The inflammatory markers in the tocilizumab group significantly declined by day 16 compared to the placebo group.Conclusions:The use of tocilizumab was associated with decreased mortality,earlier improvement of inflamma-tory markers,and reduced hospital stay in patients with severe COVID-19.

Cloud computing is an emerging domain that is capturing global users from all walks of life—the corporate sector,government sector,and social arena as well.Various cloud providers have offered multiple services and facilities to this audience and the number of providers is increasing very swiftly.This enormous pace is generating the requirement of a comprehensive ecosystem that shall provide a seamless and customized user environment not only to enhance the user experience but also to improve security,availability,accessibility,and latency.Emerging technology is providing robust solutions to many of our problems,the cloud platform is one of them.It is worth mentioning that these solutions are also amplifying the complexity and need of sustenance of these rapid solutions.As with cloud computing,new entrants as cloud service providers,resellers,tech-support,hardware manufacturers,and software developers appear on a daily basis.These actors playing their role in the growth and sustenance of the cloud ecosystem.Our objective is to use convergence for cloud services,software-defined networks,network function virtualization for infrastructure,cognition for pattern development,and knowledge repository.In order to gear up these processes,machine learning to induce intelligence to maintain ecosystem growth,to monitor performance,and to become able to make decisions for the sustenance of the ecosystem.Workloads may be programmed to“superficially”imitate most business applications and create large numbers using lightweight workload generators that merely stress the storage.In today’s current IT environment,when many enterprises use the cloud to service some of their application demands,a different performance testing technique that assesses more than the storage is necessary.Compute and storage are merged into a single building block with HCI(Hyper-converged infrastructure),resulting in a huge pool of compute and storage resources when clustered with other building blocks.The novelty of thiswork to design and test cloud sto

Load balancing is a technique for identifying overloaded and underloaded nodes and balancing the load between them.To maximize various performance parameters in cloud computing,researchers suggested various load balancing approaches.To store and access data and services provided by the different service providers through the network over different regions,cloud computing is one of the latest technology systems for both end-users and service providers.The volume of data is increasing due to the pandemic and a significant increase in usage of the internet has also been experienced.Users of the cloud are looking for services that are intelligent,and,can balance the traffic load by service providers,resulting in seamless and uninterrupted services.Different types of algorithms and techniques are available that can manage the load balancing in the cloud services.In this paper,a newly proposed method for load balancing in cloud computing at the database level is introduced.The database cloud services are frequently employed by companies of all sizes,for application development and business process.Load balancing for distributed applications can be used to maintain an efficient task scheduling process that also meets the user requirements and improves resource utilization.Load balancing is the process of distributing the load on various nodes to ensure that no single node is overloaded.To avoid the nodes from being overloaded,the load balancer divides an equal amount of computing time to all nodes.The results of two different scenarios showed the cross-region traffic management and significant growth in revenue of restaurants by using load balancer decisions on application traffic gateways.

Cloud systems are tools and software for cloud computing that are deployed on the Internet or a cloud computing network,and users can use them at any time.After assessing and choosing cloud providers,however,customers confront the variety and difficulty of quality of service(QoS).To increase customer retention and engagement success rates,it is critical to research and develops an accurate and objective evaluation model.Cloud is the emerging environment for distributed services at various layers.Due to the benefits of this environment,globally cloud is being taken as a standard environment for individuals as well as for the corporate sector as it reduces capital expenditure and provides secure,accessible,and manageable services to all stakeholders but Cloud computing has security challenges,including vulnerability for clients and association acknowledgment,that delay the rapid adoption of computing models.Allocation of resources in the Cloud is difficult because resources provide numerous measures of quality of service.In this paper,the proposed resource allocation approach is based on attribute QoS Scoring that takes into account parameters the reputation of the asset,task completion time,task completion ratio,and resource loading.This article is focused on the cloud service’s security,cloud reliability,and could performance.In this paper,the machine learning algorithm neuro-fuzzy has been used to address the cloud security issues to measure the parameter security and privacy,trust issues.The findings reveal that the ANFIS-dependent parameters are primarily designed to discern anomalies in cloud security and features output normally yields better results and guarantees data consistency and computational power.

Education quality has undoubtedly become an important local and international benchmark for education,and an institute’s ranking is assessed based on the quality of education,research projects,theses,and dissertations,which has always been controversial.Hence,this research paper is influenced by the institutes ranking all over the world.The data of institutes are obtained through Google Scholar(GS),as input to investigate the United Kingdom’s Research Excellence Framework(UK-REF)process.For this purpose,the current research used a Bespoke Program to evaluate the institutes’ranking based on their source.The bespoke program requires changes to improve the results by addressing these methodological issues:Firstly,Redundant profiles,which increased their citation and rank to produce false results.Secondly,the exclusion of theses and dissertation documents to retrieve the actual publications to count for citations.Thirdly,the elimination of falsely owned articles from scholars’profiles.To accomplish this task,the experimental design referred to collecting data from 120 UK-REF institutes and GS for the present year to enhance its correlation analysis in this new evaluation.The data extracted from GS is processed into structured data,and afterward,it is utilized to generate statistical computations of citations’analysis that contribute to the ranking based on their citations.The research promoted the predictive approach of correlational research.Furthermore,experimental evaluation reported encouraging results in comparison to the previous modi-fication made by the proposed taxonomy.This paper discussed the limitations of the current evaluation and suggested the potential paths to improve the research impact algorithm.

镁合金是现有最轻的结构材料。镁合金的独特性能包括低密度、高导热率、高强度/重量比、出色的机加工性和良好的可回收性。由于这些优异的性能,镁合金具有减重和减少燃料消耗的能力,适合在航空航天零件、汽车、电子、海水电池和整形外科等领域中应用。由于具有出色的抗蠕变性能和机械强度,镁合金已经在许多结构应用中使用。不幸的是,镁及其合金的主要局限性是其在腐蚀环境中的降解速率较快和热力学不稳定性较差。因此,研究人员一直致力于研究镁及其合金的降解机理。本论文研究的主要目的是使用基于硅烷的纳米复合涂层来增强AZ91镁合金的防腐蚀性能。该硅烷基纳米复合涂料无毒、环境友好,主要用于改善AZ91镁合金的屏蔽性能。该项工作分可为两个部分,一是增强硅烷涂层在AZ91镁合金上的耐腐蚀性,二是提高膜层的机械性能。在第一部分,使用无电共沉积技术在AZ91镁合金试样上开发了(3-环氧丙氧基丙基)三甲氧基硅烷/氧化石墨烯(GPTMS/GO)涂层,其中利用硅烷醇基团对GO薄板进行接枝改性。将AZ91镁合金浸入GPTMS/GO溶液中12 h,然后在120℃温度条件下固化,从而形成涂层。电化学测试结果表明,该涂层增强了 AZ91镁合金在3.5%NaCl溶液中的耐腐蚀性。由于在Mg AZ91的表面上形成了 GO接枝的GPTMS钝化膜层,使腐蚀电流密度值降低0.0102μA cm-2。由于共价金属硅氧烷键(MgOSi)和GO在AZ91基板上形成的层状结构,膜层的疏水性增强(108°),附着力(5A)和硬度(52 HV)均得到提高。在第二部分,使用无电沉积技术成功地在AZ91镁合金试样上制备得到GPTMS/GO/FAS涂层。通过将镁合金试样在GPTMS/GO和水解的FAS溶液浸泡24小时,然后在120℃的烤箱中固化,形成GPTMS/GO/FAS涂层。采用FTIR,XPS,SEM和EDS等不同的表征技术对镁AZ91合金表面形成的GPTMS/GO/FAS涂层进行表征。GPTMS/GO/FAS涂层的厚度随着浸入时间的增加而显著增加,GPTMS/GO/FAS涂层显示出优异的粘合性能和良好的疏水性。此外,涂层也显示出良好的机械性能。电化学测试证实了涂层耐腐蚀性能的提高。GPTMS/GO/FAS0.50mL涂层在3.5%NaCl溶液中显示出最低的腐蚀电流密度(5.03×10-μA cm-2)和最高的电阻(Rct=1272 kΩ cm2)。此外,还研究了浸泡时间对涂层完整性的影响,该试样浸入3.5%NaCl溶液中7天后仍显示出良好的效果。因此,GPTMS/GO/FAS0.50mL涂层对AZ91镁合金具有良好的防腐性能。

信任因其具有广泛的研究价值而受到学术界的重点关注。信任是一种对个人、团体和组织的积极信念,它将为个人、团体和组织带来重要影响。尽管信任具有重要的现实影响,但信任违背行为时有发生,进而导致信任的破裂或损害。为继续保持这种关系或重新构建信任,必须恢复或修复已损坏的信任。对航空业而言,目前对失信行为及其修复的研究较少。对此,本研究基于航空业的不同信任违背属性研究如何识别和应对信任违背行为,以填补这一研究主题存在的理论空白。本研究旨在研究航空业背景下如何对不同的违背类型进行信任修复。具体地,借鉴“因果归因”理论,分析航空业背景下不同信任修复策略（包括情感和实质性修复策略）对不同信任违背行为（感知因果点、感知可控性和感知稳定性）的信任修复效果。现有研究表明,因果归因（感知因果点、感知可控性和感知稳定性）与公共信任和信任修复策略（情感性和实质性修复策略）具有直接影响。在此基础上,我们重点探讨了信任修复策略（情感性和实质性修复策略）在归因理论（感知因果点、感知可控性和感知稳定性）及信任修复效果之间的作用机制。此外,对信任修复策略在因果归因与信任修复效果间起到的中介作用进行了探讨。采用问卷调查方式进行数据采集。本研究的研究对象是在过去几年中经历过服务事故的航空乘客。本研究基于情境实验的方法增强研究设计中的感知因果归因。在机场管理部分的帮助下,我们对机场的400名受访者发放了问卷进行收集数据来检验模型,共发放问卷400份,回收问卷398份,其中可用于数据分析的有效问卷有355份,有效回复率达88%。本论文运用LISREL软件对理论模型进行了验证,结果表明我们提出的所有假设均被接受。研究结果显示,当服务业违规行为是由组织（感知因果点）所引起,且可以控制（感知可控）且稳定（感知稳定）时,会导致公众信任被破坏,而且修复策略的有效性也会降低,航空公司的情感修复和实质性修复与公众信任恢复效果呈正相关关系。此外,我们还比较了三种替代模型（直接、间接和饱和）的拟合指数和路径系数。结果表明,信任修复策略（情感性和实质性）在公共信任修复中存在中介效应。最后,本论文还探讨了本研究的理论与实践意义、局限性及未来研究方向。

Comparative analysis of bacterial contamination in tap and groundwater: A case study on water quality of Quetta City, an arid zone in Pakistan

Water is an essential element on earth,which provides human a variety of services in domestic use,agriculture,or industries.However,some serious health risks of drinking water are associated with microbial contamination,particularly with fecal matter.Therefore,microbial quality assessment is considered to be a necessary component of water quality assessment.This study investigates microbial contamination of water distributary system around the city by comparing groundwater(GW)and tap water(TW)quality in Quetta city.31 GW samples and 31 TW samples were collected in the study area during the months of September,October,and November.Fecal coliform test was carried out in laboratory and their average total coliform contamination was computed.Results showed that the TW sample were all contaminated by coliform except for Chiltan town,hence are not considered suitable for drinking without any treatment according to WHO drinking water quality standards.The average coliform concentrations were 12 in Quetta main city,11.6 in Jinnah town,5.3 in Satallite town,10 in Shahbaz town and 5 in Brewery town(0/100 mL CFU)and the TW samples from the three towns were even more contaminated with E.coli.Whereas among the GW,average microbial concentrations were 1.8 in Quetta main city,2 in Satallite town,1.4 in Shahbaz town,and 0.4 in Chiltan town(0/100 mL CFU),respectively,which shows that the contamination is occurring within the water distributary pipeline system when the water flows through the pipelines.Moreover,this research will be valuable for researchers and administrative authorities to conduct elaborative studies,and develop new policies to prevent further deterioration of drinking water in the water distribution system by pathogenic microorganisms and ensure safe drinking water to the public of Quetta city.
