A 3D particle‐in‐cell/Monte Carlo collision model is used to investigate the streamer discharge inception in CO_(2) at elevated pressures including gaseous, liquid and supercritical phases. Generation of free electrons is a prerequisite for initiation and development of positive streamers. Field ionization from impurity molecules of low density and low ionization energy is assumed as the source of primary ionization in the model. The field dependent generation rate of electrons is calculated by Zener's model. Tree‐like streamer with filamentary shape presents at the needle tip and propagates to-wards the plane electrode in all three phases of CO_(2), with differing in length and propagation speed. Furthermore, the influence of different parameters such as applied voltage, electrode tip size, and ionizable density and ionization potential of impurity molecules on the evolution of streamer discharge in supercritical CO_(2) are investigated. Simulation results obtained from the 3D model agree well with experimental observations in the literature, which show that field ionization might be one of possible ionization sources in pressurized CO_(2) in the presence of high electric field.

Partial discharge(PD) is an important tool for condition assessment of dielectric insulation material of high voltage *** discharge can occur in liquid,gas and solid *** and cavities are commonly known defects present into solid dielectric insulation material due to manufacturing or during installation of power *** micro-voids when go under high voltage stress exhibit PD *** repetition of PD activity into small voids can lead to failure of insulation *** of PD is essential to assess the condition of insulation material but through modelling we can get deep sight into PD phenomenon and derive the relationship between different applied stresses(applied voltage,applied frequency,shape,size and location of cavity) and PD *** far,in previous researches different kinds of models are presented to explain partial discharge into voids or *** three capacitance model(abc) model is the basic representation of *** charge concept model presented by Pedersen in counter of abc *** element analysis(FEA) model is also presented to represent the PD phenomenon in small voids or *** paper gives a precise review of partial discharge modelling into small voids or cavities ded into solid dielectric insulation *** advantages and limitations of these models are presented and discussed in *** findings of these models are presented and *** addition,some modifications are suggested to make the modelling of PD more rigorous.

This article presents a mathematical model addressing a scenario involving a hybrid nanofluid flow between two infinite parallel plates. One plate remains stationary, while the other moves downward at a squeezing velocity. The space between these plates contains a Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium. A mixture of water-based fluid with gold(Au) and silicon dioxide(Si O2) nanoparticles is formulated. In contrast to the conventional Fourier's heat flux equation, this study employs the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux equation. A uniform magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the flow direction, invoking magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) effects. Further, the model accounts for Joule heating, which is the heat generated when an electric current passes through the fluid. The problem is solved via NDSolve in MATHEMATICA. Numerical and statistical analyses are conducted to provide insights into the behavior of the nanomaterials between the parallel plates with respect to the flow, energy transport, and skin *** findings of this study have potential applications in enhancing cooling systems and optimizing thermal management strategies. It is observed that the squeezing motion generates additional pressure gradients within the fluid, which enhances the flow rate but reduces the frictional drag. Consequently, the fluid is pushed more vigorously between the plates, increasing the flow velocity. As the fluid experiences higher flow rates due to the increased squeezing effect, it spends less time in the region between the plates. The thermal relaxation, however, abruptly changes the temperature, leading to a decrease in the temperature fluctuations.

Elucidating the complex dynamic cellular organization in the hypothalamus is critical for understanding its role in coordinating fundamental body functions. Over the past decade, single-cell and spatial omics technologies have significantly evolved, overcoming initial technical challenges in capturing and analyzing individual cells. These high-throughput omics technologies now offer a remarkable opportunity to comprehend the complex spatiotemporal patterns of transcriptional diversity and cell-type characteristics across the entire hypothalamus. Current single-cell and single-nucleus RNA sequencing methods comprehensively quantify gene expression by exploring distinct phenotypes across various subregions of the hypothalamus. However, single-cell/single-nucleus RNA sequencing requires isolating the cell/nuclei from the tissue, potentially resulting in the loss of spatial information concerning neuronal networks. Spatial transcriptomics methods, by bypassing the cell dissociation, can elucidate the intricate spatial organization of neural networks through their imaging and sequencing technologies. In this review, we highlight the applicative value of single-cell and spatial transcriptomics in exploring the complex molecular-genetic diversity of hypothalamic cell types, driven by recent high-throughput achievements.

This paper examines the transport analysis, including both heat transfer and mass transfer, in hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic microorganisms towards a curved oscillatory surface. The influence of magnetic fields is also inspected in terms of their physical characteristics. To depict the phenomena of transport, modified versions of both Fick's and Fourier's laws are used. Additionally, the characteristics of both heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical reactions are also incorporated. Utilizing a curvilinear coordinate system, the flow problem is formulated as partial differential equations(PDEs)for momentum, concentration, microorganism field, and energy. An analytical solution to the obtained flow equations is achieved utilizing the homotopy analysis method(HAM).The effects of significant flow parameters on the pressure and microorganism fields, velocity, oscillation velocity, concentration, and temperature distributions are shown via graphs. Furthermore, the variations in skin friction, mass transfer rate, heat transfer rate, and local motile number due to different involved parameters are presented in tables and are analyzed in detail. Graphical results indicate that the curves of velocity and temperature fields are enhanced as the values of the solid volume fraction variables *** is also verified that the concentration rate field decreases as the values of the homogeneous reaction strength parameter and the radius of curvature parameter increase, and it increases with the Schmidt number and the heterogeneous reaction strength *** outcomes show a favorable response of the motile number to advanced values of the Peclet number, the Schmidt number, the microorganism difference parameter, and the bio-convective Lewis number.

High-surface-area mesoprous powders of γ-Al2O3 doped with Cu^2＋, Cr^3＋, and V^3＋ ions were prepared uia a modified sol-gel method and were investigated as catalysts for the oxidation of chlorinated organic compounds. The composites retained high surface areas and pore volumes comparable with those of undoped γ-Al2O3 and the presence of the transition metal ions enhanced their surface acidic properties. The catalytic activity of the prepared catalysts in the oxidation of 1,2-dichloroethane （DCE） was studied in the temperature range of 250-400℃. The catalytic activity and product selectivity were strongly dependent on the presence and the type of dopant ion. While Cu^2＋- and Cr^3＋-containing catalysts showed 100% conversion at 300℃ and 350℃, V3＋-containing catalyst showed considerably lower conversion. Furthermore, while the major products of the reactions over γ-alumina were vinyl chloride （C2H3Cl） and hydrogen chloride （HCl） at all temperatures, Cu- and Cr-doped catalysts showed siguiticantly stronger capability for deep oxidation to CO2.

Beta-cyclodextrin-based adsorbent is a promising adsorbent because it has unique characteristics and able to form host-guest complexes with various organic *** using beta-cyclodextrin-based adsorbent has continuously improved by various preparation strategies and crosslinking *** commentary aims to highlight the preparation strategies,properties,and adsorption mechanisms of beta-cyclodextrin-based *** adsorbents can be generally classified according to the preparation methods and display high adsorption capacity especially for ***,composite/nanocomposite beta-cyclodextrin-based adsorbents exhibit outstanding adsorption capacity even though the surface area is lower than that of porous and magnetic betacyclodextrin-based *** beta-cyclodextrin/chitosan functionalized graphene oxide hydrogel with specific surface of 17.6 m^(2)·g^(–1)yields an extraordinarily maximum adsorption capacity of 1499 mg·g^(–1)methylene blue,while beta-cyclodextrin/chitosan modified with iron(Ⅱ,Ⅲ)oxide nanoparticles displays a much greater maximum adsorption capacity at 2780 mg·g^(–1).The hydrophobic interaction,functional groups,hydrogen bonding,and electrostatic interaction govern the adsorption to a greater *** this commentary is not exhaustive,the preparation strategies and illustrated mechanisms provide useful insights into the adsorbent–adsorbate interactions,costeffective analysis,challenges,and future directions of betacyclodextrin-based adsorbents in wastewater treatment.
