Okra(Abelmoschus esculentus L.)belongs to the Malvaceae family and is one of the most essential and popular vegetables *** is rich in proteins,carbohydrates,and *** and biotic factors threaten okra *** yellow vein mosaic disease(OYVMD)is the most destructive disease of *** causal agent,[i.e.,Okra yellow vein mosaic virus(OYVMV)]of this disease belongs to the family Geminiviridae and genus *** is a monopartite with additional ssDNA *** virus has two components DNA-A for protein coding and DNA-B for symptoms *** transmits OYVMV in persistent *** symptoms of OYVMV infected okra plants are chlorosis,dwarfing,and yellowing of veins and *** temperatures with moderate rainfall enhance the development of OYVMV disease and the whitefly ***,high humidity with low temperature and rainfall has no significant role in developing the OYVMD and whitefly ***,the virus also affects the secondary metabolites in the infected okra *** virus can be managed through various strategies including the application of plant defense activators,the development of resistant varieties and by controlling its vector via pesticides and plant *** plant defense activators such as monopotassium phosphate(KH2PO),salicylic acid,benzoic acid,and citric acid enhance resistance in okra against *** addition,the resistance to OYMVD can also be achieved by successfully incorporating high yielding but resistant cultivars of acceptable *** this review,we have discussed history,economic impact,symptomology,disease development under a natural environment,genetics and management of OYVMV.

Stainless steel(SS)grade 316L is used for orthopedic implants due to its biocompatibility;yet the effort should be done to minimize the carcinogenic and inflammatory effects related to SS 316L *** this research,aluminide coating of Al–Si alloy on SS 316L is characterized by using optical microscopy,energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),nano-indentation and corrosion testing *** dip aluminizing process is used to coat the SS 316L specimens at 765°C for 2 min immersion *** of the specimens are also diffusion treated in a Muffle furnace at 550°C for 4 h to produce diffused specimens of SS *** examination shows the formation of flat coating/substrate interface due to Si *** analysis confirms the formation of complex intermetallic at the coating/substrate interface which finally results in increasing the hardness and corrosion resistance properties of coating.

Transmuted Exponentiated Moment Pareto Distribution

In this work, the authors proposed a four parameter potentiated lifetime model named as Transmuted Exponentiated Moment Pareto (TEMP) distribution and discussed numerous characteristic measures of proposed model. Parameters are estimated by the method of maximum likelihood and performance of these estimates is also assessed by simulations study. Four suitable lifetime datasets are modeled by the TEMP distribution and the results support that the proposed model provides much better results as compared to its sub-models.

Antimony（III） complexes of thioamides [thioamides=thiourea （Tu）, N,N＇dimethylthiourea （Dmtu）, tetramethylthiourea （Tmtu）, imidazolidine-2-thione （Imt） and diazinane-2-thione （Diaz）] with the general formulae, Sb（thione）nCl3 （n= 1, 2, 2.5, 3） were prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and NMR （1H, 13C） spectroscopic methods. The spectral data of the complexes are consistent with the coordination of the thiones to antimony（III）. The crystal structure of one of them, {[Sb（Imt）2Cl2]2（u2-Imt）}Cl2 （1）, was determined by X-ray crystallography, which shows that the complex is dinuclear consisting of two [Sb（Imt）2Cl2] units bridged by an Imt molecule. In 1, the antimony atom is bonded to two chlorine atoms, two sulfur atoms of coordinated Imt molecules and one sulfur atom of a bridging Imt molecule. The antimony environment can be considered to be distorted octahedral with one Cl- ion weakly bound to antimony.

Sustained virological response based on rapid virological response in genotype-3 chronic hepatitis C treated with standard interferon in the Pakistani population

AIM:To document the sustained virological response (SVR) in rapid virological responders (RVR) of genotype-3 chronic hepatitis C with standard interferon (SdIF). METHODS:Hepatitis C genotype-3 patients during the period July 2006 and June 2007 were included. Complete blood counts, prothrombin time, ALT, albumin, qualitative HCV RNA were done. SdIF and ribavirin were given for 4 wk and qualitative HCV RNA was repeated. Those testing negative were allocated to group-A while the rest were allocated to group-B. Treatment was continued a total of 16 and 24 wk for group A and B respectively. HCV RNA was repeated after 24 wk of treatment. End virological and sustained virological responses were compared by χ2 test. ROC of pretreatment age, ALT and albumin were plotted for failure to achieve SVR. RESULTS:Of 74 patients treated, RCV RNA after 16 wk of therapy became undetectable in 34 (45.9%) and was detectable in 40 (54.1%) and were allocated to groups A and B respectively. SVR was achieved in 58.8% and 27.8% in groups A and B respectively. SVR rates were significantly higher in patients who had RVR as compared to those who did not (P = 0.0;γ = 2). Both groups combined ETR and SVR were 70% and 33% respectively. ROC plots of pretreatment age, ALT and albumin for SVR showed only ALT to have a significantly large area under the ***:SVR rates were higher in patients who had RVR with SdIF and high pre treatment ALT values correlated to probability of having RVR.

Micro-grid plays a vital role in fulfilling the increasing demand by using distributed renewable energy resources. Demand and response technique can be broadly classified under the setup DR deployed (e.g. ISO’s/RTO’s). Demand response program can be implemented to improve power system quality, reliability and increasing demand. In modern power industry, strategic player can take more benefit from more emphasized DR study in terms of social benefit (uninterrupted power supply to consumers) and economy. This paper proposes the distributed micro-grid control and implemented control setup implemented demand response algorithm, which provides better power system reliability. This paper presents contingencies control demand and response for micro-grid. The main advantage of implementation of demand and response algorithms in Micro-grids provides reliable power supplies to consumers. The proposed micro-grid TCP/IP setup provides a chance to respond the contingencies to recover the shed to active condition. Micro-grid controller implements demand and response algorithm reasonable for managing the demand of the load and intelligent load scheme in case of blackout.

The Game Changer China Pakistan Economic Corridor （CPEC）： A SWOT Analysis

China Pakistan Economic Corridor （CPEC） is dreamed to be the game changer not only for China and Pakistan but other 50 regional, Middle East, Central Asian Republics, and European countries too. It is one of its kind a huge project with billion US$ investment by China. Since its inception, the internal controversies and disputes in Pakistan on the sharing of benefits as well as interests and concerns of the regional and international players are posing threats to it. The review article aims to investigate and analyze the strengths and weakness and opportunities and threats （SWOT） for CPEC. To analyze the qualitative data, a computer based software program *** was used by employing multiple methods like discourse, hermeneutics, and heuristic by Moustakas. The schematic model of the theoretical framework elaborates the association and impact between and on the dependent, independent, and mediating variables of the study. It was found that if the security, political support, internal and external threats, coordination and cooperation and involvement of stakeholders are properly addressed, the CPEC will bear the fruits.

Apple Grading System Based on Weight and Colour

This paper involves the systematic,integrated and unified design of an automatic apple grading *** are placed on a constant-speed conveyor system and graded based on 2 parameters:weight and *** weight detection,a piezo-resistive load cell(ELAF-T1-M-10 L)is *** colour detection,an RGB colour sensor(46 CLR-D5 LAC3-D5)is *** the apples are equal to or above a pre-set weight threshold of 0.08 kg and if the colour of the apple is red,green or yellow,they are graded in to three bins(bin 1:red apples,bin 2:green apples,bin 3:yellow apples).If the weight is below the threshold and/or if the colour of the apple is not red,green or yellow,they are sent to a reject *** weight and colour requirements have to be met to be successfully graded,otherwise the apple is *** linear actuators(PA-15),actuated by combined signals from load cell,colour sensor and photoelectric sensors(OBR2000-R2)positioned very close to the actuators,are used to eject the apples to the correct bins.A digital magnetic speed sensor(DIGISPEC 0090/0091)is used to monitor the speed of the motor and maintain the required constant conveyor *** grade conveyor belt(NS20 UFMT)is used to design the conveyor and direct drive DC motor(DMS07 G)is used to move the conveyor *** this paper,the functionality,operation,important parameters and justifications for choosing individual components have been provided as well as detailed explanations of the overall system operation,along with potential drawbacks of proposed *** calculations necessary for system design are also provided.
