The incidence of dengue in Malaysia has shown an increasing trend since the year 2000. Vector control is the primary approach for dengue control in Malaysia. There is an urgent need for new or modified approaches such as the residual spraying on the outer walls that can potentially last long enough to control the Aedes population, particularly in the outbreak-prone areas. In this field study, we conducted outdoor residual spraying (ORS) using a newly formulated polymer-enhanced suspension concentrate (SC-PE) of deltamethrin. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the efficacy of ORS using deltamethrin SC-PE and its effect on wild Aedes populations and to assess its residual bio-efficacy on painted cement walls against the pyrethroid-susceptible strains of laboratory-reared Aedes mosquitoes. Three rounds of spraying in a four-month cycle were conducted between 2014 and 2015 in four residential areas (low-rise and high-rise housing types) in Hulu Langat, Selangor. The bio-efficacy of the insecticide was evaluated by assessing its impact on vector population using ovitrap surveillance. Standard WHO wall deposit bioassay was adapted to determine bio-efficacy of deltamethrin, i.e. post 30 min knockdown and post 24 h mortality after exposure. During the treatment period, we observed significant reductions in the population of Ae. albopictus in the sprayed low-rise housing in both semi-indoor and outdoor environments, while in the high-rise housing, there was also a significant decline in Ae. aegypti population in the semi-indoor environment. The evaluation of the residual bio-efficacy of deltamethrin SC-PE against laboratory-reared Aedes mosquitoes showed that the insecticide lasted longer in the high-rise housing compared to the low-rise housing with >80% mortality achieved continuously for 16 weeks. Recently, many researchers have used nature inspired metaheuristicalgorithms due to their ability to perform optimally on complex problems. Tosolve problems in a simple way, in the recent era bat algorithm has becomefamous due to its high tendency towards convergence to the global optimummost of the time. But, still the standard bat with random walk has a problemof getting stuck in local minima. In order to solve this problem, this researchproposed bat algorithm with levy flight random walk. Then, the proposedBat with Levy flight algorithm is further hybridized with three differentvariants of ANN. The proposed BatLFBP is applied to the problem ofinsulin DNA sequence classification of healthy homosapien. For classificationperformance, the proposed models such as Bat levy flight Artificial NeuralNetwork (BatLFANN) and Bat levy Flight Back Propagation (BatLFBP) arecompared with the other state-of-the-art algorithms like Bat Artificial NeuralNetwork (BatANN), Bat back propagation (BatBP), Bat Gaussian distribution Artificial Neural Network (BatGDANN). And Bat Gaussian distributionback propagation (BatGDBP), in-terms of means squared error (MSE) andaccuracy. From the perspective of simulations results, it is show that theproposed BatLFANN achieved 99.88153% accuracy with MSE of 0.001185,and BatLFBP achieved 99.834185 accuracy with MSE of 0.001658 on *** on WL10 the proposed BatLFANN achieved 99.89899% accuracy withMSE of 0.00101, and BatLFBP achieved 99.84473% accuracy with MSE of0.004553. Similarly, on WL15 the proposed BatLFANN achieved 99.82853%accuracy with MSE of 0.001715, and BatLFBP achieved 99.3262% accuracywith MSE of 0.006738 which achieve better accuracy as compared to the otherhybrid models.

Wireless Body Area Sensor Network(WBASN)is an automated system for remote health monitoring of *** under umbrella of Internet of Things(IoT)is comprised of small Biomedical Sensor Nodes(BSNs)that can communicate with each other without human *** BSNs can be placed on human body or inside the skin of the patients to regularly monitor their vital *** BSNs generate critical data as it is related to patient’s *** data traffic can be classified as Sensitive Data(SD)and Non-sensitive Data(ND)packets based on the value of vital *** data packets have different priority to *** ND packets may tolerate some delay or packet loss whereas,the SD packets required to be delivered on time with minimized packet loss otherwise it can be life threating to the *** this research,we propose a Traffic Priority-aware Medical Data Dissemination(TPMD2)scheme forWBASN to deliver the data packets according to their priority based on the sensitivity of the *** assessment of the proposed scheme is carried out in various *** simulation results of the TPMD2 scheme indicate a significant improvement in packets delivery,transmission delay and energy efficiency in comparison with the existing schemes.

It is the need of time that oil palm farmers must perform the spatially planned soil analysis to know about the fertilizer sufficient and deficient zones of *** method is a suitable and fast solution of soil analysis for NPK determination using the digital soil test *** determination procedure with a digital soil test kit was undefined for oil ***,the digital soil test kit determines the passage of light through an opaque medium of soil solution with a specified ***,environmental light may interfere leading to wrong results of NPK ***,this equipment was non-incorporable with the controller of any VRT fertilizer *** this research,these issues were addressed and the NPK measurement procedure was defined for oil palm plantation by modifying the‘soil to water’ratio in sample soil solution with an optimum environmental light range of 18-23 W/m^(2).‘Soil to water’ratios were found for nitrogen,phosphorus and potassium as 0.31 to 5.00,1.00 to 5.00 and 4.50 to 5.00,respectively to fit the requirement of NPK for oil palm in the prescribed range of the *** study of modified digital soil test kit showed that 91.7%N,89.6%P and 93.8%K results of modified digital soil test kit were matched with analytical laboratory ***,the reliability of NPK results using digital soil test kit was enhanced,making the kit incorporable with the controller of variable rate fertilizer applicator through remote monitoring based data acquisition *** outcome of this research can be used in the development of an IoT network data fusion for dynamic assessment of the NPK variation in the soil and nutrient management in oil palm plantations.

Introduction:COVID-19 has affected almost every country in the world,which causing many negative implications in terms of education,economy and mental ***,the trend of second or third wave of the pandemic has been noted in multiple regions despite early success of flattening the curve,such as in the case of Malaysia,post Sabah state election in September ***,it is imperative to predict ongoing trend of COVID-19 to assist crucial policymaking in curbing the ***:Generalized logistic growth modelling(GLM)approach was adopted to make prediction of growth of cases according to each state in *** data was obtained from official Ministry of Health Malaysia daily report,starting from 26 September 2020 until 1 January ***:Sabah,Johor,Selangor and Kuala Lumpur are predicted to exceed 10,000 cumulative cases by 2 February ***,the growth factor has been shown to range between 0.25 to a peak of 3.1 throughout the current Movement Control Order(MCO).The growth factor range for Sabah ranged from 1.00 to 1.25,while Selangor,the state which has the highest case,has a mean growth factor ranging from 1.22 to *** highest growth rates reported were inWP Labuan for the time periods of 22 Nov-5 Dec 2020 with growth rates of *** with higher population densities were predicted to have higher cases of ***:GLM is helpful to provide governments and policymakers with accurate and helpful forecasts on magnitude of epidemic and peak *** forecast could assist government in devising short-and long-term plan to tackle the ongoing pandemic.

X-linked redegreen color blindness is the most widespread form of vision *** study aimed to determine the prevalence and gene frequencies of redegreen color vision impairments among children of six different human populations of Jammu province.A total of 1028 healthy subjects(6e15 years of age)were selected from five Muslim populations and the color vision impairments were determined using the Ishihara’s test of color *** gene frequency was calculated using HardyeWeinberg equilibrium *** prevalence of color vision deficiency(CVD)ranged from 5.26%to 11.36%among males and 0.00%e3.03%among females of six different *** gender based differences in the frequency of CVD was found to be statistically significant(p<0.0001),with a higher prevalence among male(7.52%)as compared to female(0.83%)*** observed high frequency of deutan as compared to protan *** incidences of deuteranomaly(5.68%)and deuteranopia(2.27%)were higher among male children of Syed population while the frequencies of protanomaly(1.94%),protanopia(1.28%)and achromacy(2.27%)were the highest among male subjects of Khan,Malik and Syed populations,*** allele and genotype frequencies showed cogent differences among six *** population based assessment of CVDs help patients to follow adaptive strategies that could minimize the risks of the disease.

Anomalous node detection in attributed social networks using dual variational autoencoder with generative adversarial networks

Many types of real-world information systems, including social media and e-commerce platforms, can be modelled by means of attribute-rich, connected networks. The goal of anomaly detection in artificial intelligence is to identify illustrations that deviate significantly from the main distribution of data or that differ from known cases. Anomalous nodes in node-attributed networks can be identified with greater precision if both graph and node attributes are taken into account. Almost all of the studies in this area focus on supervised techniques for spotting outliers. While supervised algorithms for anomaly detection work well in theory, they cannot be applied to real-world applications owing to a lack of labelled data. Considering the possible data distribution, our model employs a dual variational autoencoder (VAE), while a generative adversarial network (GAN) assures that the model is robust to adversarial training. The dual VAEs are used in another capacity: as a fake-node generator. Adversarial training is used to ensure that our latent codes have a Gaussian or uniform distribution. To provide a fair presentation of the graph, the discriminator instructs the generator to generate latent variables with distributions that are more consistent with the actual distribution of the data. Once the model has been learned, the discriminator is used for anomaly detection via reconstruction loss which has been trained to distinguish between the normal and artificial distributions of data. First, using a dual VAE, our model simultaneously captures cross-modality interactions between topological structure and node characteristics and overcomes the problem of unlabeled anomalies, allowing us to better understand the network sparsity and nonlinearity. Second, the proposed model considers the regularization of the latent codes while solving the issue of unregularized embedding techniques that can quickly lead to unsatisfactory representation.
