Heat stress induced by long periods of high ambient temperature decreases animal productivity,leading to heavy economic *** devastating situation for livestock production is even becoming worse under the present climate change *** focused to breed animals with better thermotolerance and climatic resilience are keenly sought these days to mitigate impacts of heat stress especially in high input livestock production *** 70-kDa heat shock proteins(HSP70) are a protein family known for its potential role in thermo-tolerance and widely considered as cellular ***70 function as molecular chaperons and have major roles in cellular thermotolerance,apoptosis,immune-modulation and heat *** of HSP70 is controlled by various factors such as,intracellular pH,cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cyclic AMP),protein kinase C and intracellular free calcium,*** expression of HSP70 has been observed under oxidative stress leading to scavenging of mitochondrial reactive oxygen species and protection of pulmonary endothelial barrier against bacterial *** in flanking and promoter regions in HSP70 gene have shown association with heat tolerance,weaning weight,milk production,fertility and disease susceptibility in *** review provides insight into pivotal roles of HSP70 which make it an ideal candidate genetic marker for selection of animals with better climate resilience,immune response and superior performance.

Physical and Kinematical Characteristics of Wolf–Rayet Central Stars and their Host Planetary Nebulae

We address the physical and kinematical properties of Wolf–Rayet[WR]central stars(CSs)and their host planetary nebulae(PNe).The studied sample comprises all[WR]CSs that are currently *** analysis is based on recent observations of the parallax,proper motion,and color index of[WR]CSs from the Gaia space mission’s early third release(eDR3)catalog,as well as common nebular *** results revealed an evolutionary sequence,in terms of decreasing Teff,from the early hot[WO 1]to the late cold[WC 12]*** evolutionary sequence extends beyond[WR]CS temperature and luminosity to additional CS and nebular *** statistical analysis shows that the mean final stellar mass and evolutionary age of the[WR]CS sample are 0.595±0.13M⊙and 9449±2437 yr,respectively,with a mean nebular dynamical age of 7270±1380 *** addition,we recognize that the color of the majority(∼85%)of[WR]CSs tends to be red rather than their genuine blue *** analysis indicates that two-thirds of the apparent red color of most[WR]s is attributed to the interstellar extinction whereas the other one-third is due to the PN self-extinction effect.

The Variability and Radial Velocity of Planetary Nebula Central Stars

The extremely accurate estimates of stellar variability and radial velocity in the Gaia Data Release 3(Gaia DR3)have enabled us to examine the close binarity and radial velocity(RV)of central stars(CSs)of planetary nebulae(PNe).This study is twofold:(1)searching for new close binary CS candidates to better understand how binarity affects the formation and evolution of PNe;and(2)extending the sample size of known RVs of PNe in order to understand their kinematics and the dynamics of the Milky *** a target sample,we used all true,possible,and likely PNe available in the ***,we looked for their matched Gaia DR3 sources that provide measurements of variability and *** a result,we detected the first large collection of trustworthy photometric variability of 26 symbiotic stars and 82 *** this CS group,there are 24 sources already classified as true close binary CSs in the ***,we discovered 58 new close binary CS *** close binary(CB)sample represents more than half of what is currently available in the *** addition,we identified the radial velocities for 51 *** our knowledge,24 of these were measured for the first *** RV measurements predicted by Gaia,based on the Doppler shift of the CS absorption lines,and those derived from nebular emission lines,show satisfactory agreement except for a few extremely high-velocity PNe.

Security and safety remain paramount concerns for both governments and individuals *** today’s context,the frequency of crimes and terrorist attacks is alarmingly increasing,becoming increasingly intolerable to ***,there is a pressing need for swift identification of potential threats to preemptively alert law enforcement and security forces,thereby preventing potential attacks or violent *** advancements in big data analytics and deep learning have significantly enhanced the capabilities of computer vision in object detection,particularly in identifying *** paper introduces a novel automatic firearm detection surveillance system,utilizing a one-stage detection approach named MARIE(Mechanism for Realtime Identification of Firearms).MARIE incorporates the Single Shot Multibox Detector(SSD)model,which has been specifically optimized to balance the speed-accuracy trade-off critical in firearm detection *** SSD model was further refined by integrating MobileNetV2 and InceptionV2 architectures for superior feature extraction *** experimental results demonstrate that this modified SSD configuration provides highly satisfactory performance,surpassing existing methods trained on the same dataset in terms of the critical speedaccuracy *** these innovations,MARIE sets a new standard in surveillance technology,offering a robust solution to enhance public safety effectively.

Binary Tomography Reconstruction with Limited-Data by a Convex Level-Set Method

This paper proposes a new level-set-based shape recovery approach that can be applied to a wide range of binary tomography *** this technique,we derive generic evolution equations for shape reconstruction in terms of the underlying level-set *** show that using the appropriate basis function to parameterize the level-set function results in an optimization problem with a small number of parameters,which overcomes many of the problems associated with the traditional level-set *** concretely,in this paper,we use Gaussian functions as a basis function placed at sparse grid points to represent the parametric level-set function and provide more flexibility in the binary representation of the reconstructed *** addition,we suggest a convex optimization method that can overcome the problem of the local minimum of the cost function by successfully recovering the coefficients of the basis ***,we illustrate the performance of the proposed method using synthetic images and real X-ray CT projection *** show that the proposed reconstruction method compares favorably to various state-of-the-art reconstruction techniques for limited-data tomography,and it is also relatively stable in the presence of modest amounts of ***,the shape representation using a compact Gaussian radial basis function works well.

Regression analysis of squeezing-induced hybrid nanofluid flow in Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium

This article presents a mathematical model addressing a scenario involving a hybrid nanofluid flow between two infinite parallel plates. One plate remains stationary, while the other moves downward at a squeezing velocity. The space between these plates contains a Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium. A mixture of water-based fluid with gold(Au) and silicon dioxide(Si O2) nanoparticles is formulated. In contrast to the conventional Fourier's heat flux equation, this study employs the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux equation. A uniform magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the flow direction, invoking magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) effects. Further, the model accounts for Joule heating, which is the heat generated when an electric current passes through the fluid. The problem is solved via NDSolve in MATHEMATICA. Numerical and statistical analyses are conducted to provide insights into the behavior of the nanomaterials between the parallel plates with respect to the flow, energy transport, and skin *** findings of this study have potential applications in enhancing cooling systems and optimizing thermal management strategies. It is observed that the squeezing motion generates additional pressure gradients within the fluid, which enhances the flow rate but reduces the frictional drag. Consequently, the fluid is pushed more vigorously between the plates, increasing the flow velocity. As the fluid experiences higher flow rates due to the increased squeezing effect, it spends less time in the region between the plates. The thermal relaxation, however, abruptly changes the temperature, leading to a decrease in the temperature fluctuations.

Effect of Sequence of Impregnation on the Structure and Catalytic Properties of Cu-Co-Al-Oxide System

Twelve samples of Co-Cu/AI2O3 were prepared by impregnating AI2O3 with cobalt salt followed by copper salt or vice versa. The composition of the prepared samples varied in the molar ratios 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 with respect to *** or CoO:CuO, while Al2O3 content was kept at about 13-15 mol. The prepared solids were calcined at different temperatures and the products were characterized by means of XRD-analysis. The catalytic activity of the calcined solids was tested in H2O2 decomposition. The XRD-analysis revealed that the sequence of impregnation affects much the structure of the samples. The loading of alumina with cobalt followed by copper salts produced sample with structure differs from that for sample firstly treated with copper followed by cobalt salts. XRD- analysis showed the formation of crystalline spinel Co1-x Cux AI2O4 with nearly the same crystal structure as CoAI2O4 even with high copper content. The examination of catalytic activity of these samples showed that catalysts with Co-loaded over Cu were more active than catalysts with Cu loaded over Co. In all cases the double oxides loaded over AI2O3 were more active than the single oxide over AI2O3.

Vagus nerve stimulation(VNS)and stroke:Stroke is the second leading cause of death and the third leading cause of disability worldwide(Baig et al.,2023).There have been significant paradigm shifts in the management of acute ischemic stroke through mechanical *** chronic ischemic stroke,invasive VNS paired with rehabilitation is associated with a significant increase in upper limb motor recovery and is FDA-approved(Baig et al.,2023).There are no treatments of similar efficacy in acute intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH)where several promising trials,e.g.,TICH-2,STOP-AUST,and TRAIGE did not show improvements in functional outcomes(Puy et al.,2023).

Single-cell and spatial omics:exploring hypothalamic heterogeneity

Elucidating the complex dynamic cellular organization in the hypothalamus is critical for understanding its role in coordinating fundamental body functions. Over the past decade, single-cell and spatial omics technologies have significantly evolved, overcoming initial technical challenges in capturing and analyzing individual cells. These high-throughput omics technologies now offer a remarkable opportunity to comprehend the complex spatiotemporal patterns of transcriptional diversity and cell-type characteristics across the entire hypothalamus. Current single-cell and single-nucleus RNA sequencing methods comprehensively quantify gene expression by exploring distinct phenotypes across various subregions of the hypothalamus. However, single-cell/single-nucleus RNA sequencing requires isolating the cell/nuclei from the tissue, potentially resulting in the loss of spatial information concerning neuronal networks. Spatial transcriptomics methods, by bypassing the cell dissociation, can elucidate the intricate spatial organization of neural networks through their imaging and sequencing technologies. In this review, we highlight the applicative value of single-cell and spatial transcriptomics in exploring the complex molecular-genetic diversity of hypothalamic cell types, driven by recent high-throughput achievements.
