Due to double salient structure,Flux Switching Machines(FSMs)are preferred for brushless AC high speed *** Magnet(PM)FSMs(PM-FSMs)are suited applicants where high torque density(Tden)and power density(Pden)are the utmost *** conventional PM-FSMs utilizes excessive rare earth PM volume VPM,higher cogging torque Tcog,high torque ripples(Trip)and comparatively lower(Tden)and Pden due to flux *** overcome the aforesaid demerits,a new high(Tden)Segmented PM Consequent Pole(CP)FSM(SPMCPFSM)with flux bridge and barrier is proposed which successfully reduces VPM by 46.52%and PM cost by 46.48%.Moreover,Multi-Objective Optimization(MOO)examines electromagnetic performance due to variation in geometric parameters for global optimum parameters with key metric such as flux linkage(Φpp),flux harmonics(ΦTHD)average torque(Tavg),Tcog,Trip,Tden,average power(Pavg)and *** reveals that MOO improveΦpp by 22.68%,boost Tavg by 11.41%,enhanced Pavg by 4.55%and increased Tden and Pden by 11.41%.Detailed electromagnetic performance comparison with existing state of the art shows that proposed SPMCPFSM offer Tavg maximum up to 88.8%,truncate Trip up to 24.8%,suppress Tcog up to 22.74%,and results 2.45 times Tden and Pden.

Due to the advancement in wireless technology and miniaturization,Wireless Body Area Networks(WBANs)have gained enormous popularity,having various applications,especially in the healthcare *** are intrinsically resource-constrained;therefore,they have specific design and development *** such highly desirable requirement is an energy-efficient and reliable Data Aggregation(DA)mechanism for *** efficient and reliableDAmay ultimately push the network to operate without much human intervention and further extend the network *** conventional client-serverDAparadigm becomes unsuitable and inefficient for WBANs when a large amount of data is generated in the ***,in most of the healthcare applications(patient’s critical conditions),it is highly important and required to send data as soon as possible;therefore,reliable data aggregation in WBANs is of great *** tackle the shortcomings of the client-serverDAparadigm,theMobile Agent-Basedmechanismproved to be a more workable *** aMobile Agent-Based mechanism,a taskspecific mobile agent(code)traverses to the intended sources to gather *** agents travel on a predefined path called itinerary;however,planning a suitable and reliable itinerary for a mobile agent is also a challenging issue *** paper presents a new Mobile Agent-Based DA scheme for WBANs,which is energy-efficient and ***,in the proposed scheme,the network is divided into clusters,and cluster-heads are ***,a mobile agent is generated from the base station to collect the required data from cluster *** the case,if any fault occurs in the existing itinerary,an alternate itinerary is planned in real-time without compromising the network *** our simulation-based validation,we have found that the proposed system delivers significantly improved fault-tolerance and reliability with energy-efficiency and extended network lifetime in WBANs.

The purpose of Human Activities Recognition(HAR)is to recognize human activities with sensors like accelerometers and *** normal research strategy is to obtain better HAR results by finding more efficient eigenvalues and classification *** this paper,we experimentally validate the HAR process and its various algorithms *** the base of which,it is further proposed that,in addition to the necessary eigenvalues and intelligent algorithms,correct prior knowledge is even more *** prior knowledge mentioned here mainly refers to the physical understanding of the analyzed object,the sampling process,the sampling data,the HAR algorithm,***,a solution is presented under the guidance of right prior knowledge,using Back-Propagation neural networks(BP networks)and simple Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN).The results show that HAR can be achieved with 90%–100%*** analysis shows that intelligent algorithms for pattern recognition and classification problems,typically represented by HAR,require correct prior knowledge to work effectively.

The reactivity of a nuclear reactor is the most important safety and operating parameter. Due to short reactor period, the Light Water Reactor(LWR) designs require the compensations of rapid unfavorable reactivity increases. The increase in fuel or moderator temperature leads to compensate the reactivity jumps as inherent safety characteristics. The safe and reliable reactor operation requires the accurate assessment of these reactivity changes. This paper highlights the improvements in the methodology to determine the feedback reactivity changes in IAEA MTR benchmark. This method incorporates the reactivity effects of fuel temperature in moderator regions and vice versa. For this purpose, a detailed 3D model of the IAEA 10 MW MTR benchmark reactor is developed employing OpenMC computer code. OpenMC is a probabilistic computer code for neutronic calculations. This work uses temperature-dependent JEFF 3.2 cross-sectional library. The model is validated against the reference results of eigenvalues for control rods(inserted and in fully withdrawn position), control rod reactivity worth, averaged thermal flux in the central flux trap, and power fraction for each fuel element at beginning of life. The validated model is applied to simulate the feedback reactivity coefficients against the conventional reference results. In order to improve the methodology, the effect of the moderator temperature and void on fuel is incorporated to obtain a more realistic value of the fuel temperature ***, the moderator temperature coefficient and void coefficient are improved by incorporating the coupling effects of fuel temperature on moderator. This methodology can be applied to improve the LWR designs.

Object detection in images has been identified as a critical area of research in computer vision image *** has developed several novel methods for determining an object’s location and category from an ***,there is still room for improvement in terms of detection *** study aims to develop a technique for detecting objects in *** enhance overall detection performance,we considered object detection a two-fold problem,including localization and *** proposed method generates class-independent,high-quality,and precise proposals using an agglomerative clustering *** then combine these proposals with the relevant input image to train our network on convolutional ***,a network refinement module decreases the quantity of generated proposals to produce fewer high-quality candidate ***,revised candidate proposals are sent into the network’s detection process to determine the object *** algorithm’s performance is evaluated using publicly available the PASCAL Visual Object Classes Challenge 2007(VOC2007),VOC2012,and Microsoft Common Objects in Context(MS-COCO)*** only 100 proposals per image at intersection over union((IoU)=0.5 and 0.7),the proposed method attains Detection Recall(DR)rates of(93.17%and 79.35%)and(69.4%and 58.35%),and Mean Average Best Overlap(MABO)values of(79.25%and 62.65%),for the VOC2007 and MS-COCO datasets,***,it achieves a Mean Average Precision(mAP)of(84.7%and 81.5%)on both VOC *** experiment findings reveal that our method exceeds previous approaches in terms of overall detection performance,proving its effectiveness.

Deep eutectic ionic liquids based on DABCO-derived quaternary ammonium salts: A promising reaction medium in gaining access to terpyridines

Owing to the directional H-bonding,coordination and π-stacking abilities,terpyridines have been widely used as supramolecular tectons in molecular architectures,skeletons in molecular devices and metallopolymers,and are gaining importance in medicinal *** this paper,we have synthesized,characterized and applied deep eutectic ionic liquids (DEILs) based on 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane;triethylenediamine (DABCO)-derived quatemary ammonium salts for the preparation *** DEILs were synthesized through N-alkylation of DABCO with haloalkanes (1-bromopentane or 1-bromoheptane) followed by mixing and heating with methanol or polyethylene glycol as a hydrogen bond *** synthesized DEILs were structurally characterized by IR and *** formation of deep eutectic solvent was confirmed by freezing point depression,it composition was investigated through phase diagram,and its thermal stability was determined through differential scanning calorimetry,derivative thermogravimetry and thermal gravimetric analysis ***,these DEILs were investigated for their effectiveness towards synthesis of 2,2':6',2"-terpyridine,3,2':6',3"-terpyridineand 4,2':6',4"-terpyridine derivatives through Kr(o)hnke *** results show that these three types ofterpyridines can be obtained in reasonable yields (80%-97%) by the one-pot reaction of 2-,3-or 4-acetylpyridine with a variety of aromatic aldehydes in the presence of DEIL as a reaction medium,sodium hydroxide as a base and ammonium acetate as a cyclizing *** methodology is highly efficient and cost-effective for synthesis of symmetrical as well as unsymmetrical ***,these DEILs can be reused several times without an obvious loss of activity and are non-toxic,low-volatile,biodegradable and highly thermally ***,these DEILs as a non-conventional reaction medium for the synthesis of terpyridines provides appealing opportunities to be investigated in the domain of gr

Yttrium and cerium co-doped ZnO nanoparticles were synthesized by combustion route and characterized using X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET),energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(UV-vis DRS),photoluminescence(PL)and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)*** introduction of yttrium ions has efficiently increased the relative percentage of Ce^(3+)ions in *** and cerium co-doped ZnO shows efficient photo activity for hydrogen evolution(10.61 mmol/((g·h))higher than previously reported optimal value for rare earth codoped ZnO *** remarkably increased hydrogen evolution can be ascribed to the synergy between electronic anchoring effect of Y^(3+)/Y^(2+)and Ce^(4+)/Ce^(3+)redox *** report presents new idea for the synthesis of efficient photocatalyst using economical route and ion anchoring *** hydrogen evolution was also tested using Na_(2)S and Na_(2)SO_(3)as electron donors under visible light *** synthesized photocatalysts also exhibit high stability.
