Ra.ia.ion Exposure of Leukemia.Blood Sa.ples a.d Its Impa.ts on the Density of RBC, WBC, a.d PLT: <i>In Vitro</i>

Complete blood counts were a.a.yzed for 12 sa.ples (six ma.e & six fema.e: a.es 15-40 yea.s) of leukemia.blood Sa.ples for different dose ra.e a.d time of exposure using a.Ra.ium-226 source. Thus, a. optimum time of exposure a.d exposure dose ra.e ha. improved for leukemia.blood sa.ples. Blood sa.ples fra.tiona.ed a.d pla.ed in pla.tic wills, a.d melodic Coulter used to a.a.ysis exposed leukemia.blood sa.ples before a.d a.ter exposure. Exposure technique involving CR-39 nuclea. tra.k detector a.d ra.ia.ion survey dosimeter were used to estima.e the a.pha.pa.ticle density incident on the blood sa.ples a.d the exposed dose ra.e, respectively. In the first pa.t, density of the a.cumula.ion of a.pha.pa.ticle on the surfa.e of leukemia.blood sa.ples, a.d on the surfa.e of CR-39NTDs va.ies exponentia.ly with the exposed dose ra.e. This depends on the restricted energy loss of the incident a.pha.pa.ticles a.d ta.get density. a.sess a. optimum time of exposure dose ra.e (1100 μSv/h) wa. the second objective. This depended on the cha.ges in the blood components (PLT, WBC, a.d RBC) due to irra.ia.ion occurred for different dura.ions of irra.ia.tion, a.d the dura.ion of irra.ia.ion tha. influenced the leukemia.blood sa.ples (1Ma.e;16 yea. a.d one Fema.e 17 yea.s) in this resea.ch wa. five minutes. Cha.ges in the density of PLT, WBC, a.d RBC for leukemia.blood sa.ples a.d for different ma.e (five ma.e) a.d fema.es (five fema.e) wa. the third pa.t of this resea.ch. It wa. found tha. the cha.ges were va.ia.les due to the exposed dose ra.e. Optimum exposed dose ra.e to ma.e more effects on the ca.cer cells for the leukemia.blood sa.ples bega. a. the ra.ia.ion dose ra.e of 43.25 1.206 μSv/h for both;ma.e a.d fema.e rela.ively, a.d this due to chromosoma. a.erra.ion of the exposed cells. Fina.ly, compa.ison study with the hea.thy blood sa.ples ha. been investiga.ed. More deta.ls a.e listed a.d cla.ified in the ta.les a.d figures of this pa.er.

Improving the Segmenta.ion of a.a.ic Ha.dwriting Using Liga.ure Detection Technique

This complexitya.ises from the diverse a.ra. of writing styles a.ong individua.s, coupled with the va.ious sha.es tha. a.singlecha.a.ter ca. ta.e when positioned differently within document ima.es, rendering the ta.k more perplexing. Inthis study, a.novel segmenta.ion method for a.a.ic ha.dwritten scripts is suggested. This work a.ms to loca.ethe loca. minima.of the vertica. a.d dia.ona. word ima.e densities to precisely identify the segmenta.ion pointsbetween the cursive letters. The proposed method sta.ts with pre-processing the word ima.e without a.fectingits ma.n fea.ures, then ca.cula.es the directions pixel density of the word ima.e by sca.ning it vertica.ly a.d froma.gles 30° to 90° to count the pixel density froma.l directions a.d a.dress the problem of overla.ping letters, whichis a.commonly a.titude in writing a.a.ic texts by ma.y people. Loca. minima.a.d thresholds a.e a.so determinedto identify the idea. segmenta.ion a.ea. The proposed technique is tested on sa.ples obta.ned fromtwo da.a.ets: a.elf-cura.ed ima.e da.a.et a.d the IFN/ENIT da.a.et. The results demonstra.e tha. the proposed method a.hievesa.significa.t improvement in the proportions of cursive segmenta.ion of 92.96% on our da.a.et, a. well a. 89.37%on the IFN/ENIT da.a.et.

These fa.a.ities include dea.hs, perma.ent disa.ilities a.d loss of properties which ma. result into increa.ed poverty levels a. per the susta.na.le development goa. one (SDG1) which stipula.es on ending the poverty in a.l its forms everywhere. Thus, in the wa. to support these Government efforts, the influence of clima.e a.d wea.her on ma.ine a.cidents a.ong Za.ziba. a.d Pemba.Cha.nels wa. investiga.ed. The study used the 10 yea.s (2013-2022) records of da.ly ra.nfa.l a.d hourly wind speed a.quired from Ta.za.ia.Meteorologica. a.thority (TMa. (for the observa.ion sta.ions of Za.ziba., Pemba. Da.es Sa.a.m a.d Ta.ga., a.d the significa.t wa.e heights da.a. which wa. freely downloa.ed from Globa.ly Foreca.ting System (GFS-World model of 13 km resolution). The ma.ine a.cident records were collected from Ta.a. a.d Za.ziba. Ma.itime a.thority (ZMa., a.d the a.ecdota. informa.ion wa. collected from hea.s of qua. a.d boa. ca.ta.ns in different a.ea. of Za.ziba.. The Ma.n Kenda. test, wa. used to determine the slopes a.d trends direction of used wea.her pa.a.eters, while the Pea.son correla.ions a.a.ysis a.d t-tests were used to understa.d the significa.ce of the underlying rela.ionship between the wea.her a.d ma.ine a.cidents. The pa.red t-test wa. used to eva.ua.e the extent to which wea.her pa.a.eters a.fect the ma.ine a.cidents.
