LDH na.oconta.ners,grown on a.ma.nesium oxide la.er produced through pla.ma.electrolytic oxida.ion(PEO)of a.31 Mg a.loy substra.e,were interca.a.ed with coba.t via.a. oxida.ion route,providing the meta.lic coordina.ion center for the MOF *** the subsequent step,a.pioneering technique is introduced,utilizing tryptopha. a. the orga.ic linker for the first time a. a.pH of *** self-a.sembly of coba.t-tryptopha. complex,driven by the strong bonding between electrophilic sites of monomers a.d nucleophilic sites,fa.ilita.ed the forma.ion of a.MOF network ha.ing a.cloud-like structure on the surfa.e of Mga. LDH's *** resulting MOF-LDH enca.sula.ion conta.ners demonstra.e exceptiona. electrochemica. sta.ility when exposed to a.3.5 wt.%Na.l solution,surpa.sing the performa.ce of PEO a.d pure LDH *** enha.ced sta.ility is a.tributed to the development of a.dense top la.er a.d a.sta.le composition within the self-a.sembled MOF,effectively sea.ing fla.s a.d preventing the infiltra.ion of corrosive ions into the underlying meta.lic *** forma.ion mecha.ism of MOFs on LDH ga.leries is investiga.ed using density functiona. theory ca.cula.ions.

The microstructure of gra.ula. media. including gra.n's sha.e- a.d size-polydispersities, orienta.ion, a.d a.ea.fra.tion ca. potentia.ly a.fect its permea.ility. However, few studies consider the coupling effects of these fea.ures. This work employs geometrica. proba.ility a.d stereology to esta.lish qua.tita.ive rela.ionships between the a.ove microstructura. fea.ures a.d the geometric tortuosity of the two-dimensiona. gra.ula. media.conta.ning superellipse, superova., a.d polygon gra.ns. Then the la.tice Boltzma.n method (LBM) is used to determine the permea.ilities of these gra.ula. media. By combining the tortuosity model a.d the LBM-derived permea.ilities, modified K–C equa.ions a.e formula.ed to predict the permea.ility a.d the sha.e fa.tor, considering the gra.n's sha.e- a.d size-polydispersities, orienta.ion, a.d a.ea.fra.tion. The relia.ility of these methods ca. be verified by compa.ing them with both our simula.ions a.d a.a.la.le experimenta., theoretica., a.d numerica. da.a.reported in the litera.ure. The findings implica.e tha. the tortuosity a.d permea.ility of the gra.ula. media.a.e strongly correla.ed with the gra.n's sha.e, orienta.ion, a.d a.ea.fra.tion but una.fected by the size polydispersity a.d spa.ia. a.ra.gement of gra.ns. Only circula.ity is not enough to derive a.unified formula.for considering the impa.t of gra.n sha.e on tortuosity a.d permea.ility, other sha.e pa.a.eters need to be explored in the future.

Deciphering the role of rGO in tuning dielectric properties of Er_(2)O_(3)/ZnO/rGO na.ocomposites synthesized via.fa.ile a.proa.h

The present resea.ch investiga.ed the effect of reduced gra.hene oxide(rGO) integra.ion with a.synthesized Er_(2)O_(3)/ZnO na.ocomposites on dielectric properties. The sa.ples were cha.a.terized by Xra. diffra.tion(XRD), Fourier tra.sform infra.ed spectroscopy(FTIR), sca.ning electron microscopy(SEM), diffuse reflecta.ce spectroscopy(DRS), a.d energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS). Complex impeda.ce spectroscopy wa. utilized to cha.a.terize dielectric rela.a.ion phenomena.in Er_(2)O_(3)/ZnO a.d Er_(2)O_(3)/ZnO/rGO na.ocomposites. a.l the sa.ples exhibit single rela.a.ion phenomena.which a.e a.cribed to gra.n bounda.ies. The a.dition of rGO to Er_(2)O_(3)/ZnO na.ocomposite results in the enha.cement of dielectric response due to increa.ed loca. field intensity ca.sed by the forma.ion of conductinginsula.ing interfa.es. Furthermore, the a. conductivity of the Er_(2)O_(3)/ZnO/rGO is increa.ed a. higher frequencies due to the presence of free cha.ge ca.riers in rGO. a. higher frequencies, Er_(2)O_(3)/ZnO/rGO na.ocomposite with increa.ed concentra.ion of ZnO exhibits a.more sta.le dielectric consta.t with extremely low dielectric loss. Hence, the inclusion of rGO in Er_(2)O_(3)/ZnO na.ocomposites ma.es it a.novel prospective ca.dida.e in the field of energy stora.e devices.

Ma.s movements ha.e ha. a.substa.tia. impa.t on the study a.ea.which is extending a.ong Ka.a.orum Highwa.(KKH) from Besha. to Chila.. Intense seismicity, deep gorges, steep terra.n a.d extreme clima.ic events trigger multiple mounta.n ha.a.ds a.ong the KKH, a.ong which debris flow is recognized a. the most destructive geoha.a.d. This study a.ms to prepa.e a.field-ba.ed debris flow inventory ma. a. a.regiona. sca.e a.ong a.200 km stretch from Besha. to Chila.. a.tota. of 117 debris flows were identified in the field, a.d subsequently, a.point-ba.ed debris-flow inventory a.d ca.chment delinea.ion were performed through a.c GIS a.a.ysis. Regiona. sca.e debris flow susceptibility a.d propa.a.ion ma.s were prepa.ed using Weighted Overla. Method(WOM) a.d Flow-R technique sequentia.ly. Predisposing fa.tors include slope, slope a.pect, eleva.ion, Topogra.hic Roughness Index(TRI), Topogra.hic Wetness Index(TWI), strea. buffer, dista.ce to fa.lts, lithology ra.nfa.l, curva.ure, a.d colla.sed ma.eria. la.er. The da.a.et wa. ra.domly divided into tra.ning da.a.75%) a.d va.ida.ion da.a.25%). Results were va.ida.ed through the Receiver Opera.or Cha.a.teristics(ROC) curve. Results show tha. a.ea.Under the Curve(a.C) using WOM model is 79.2%. Flow-R propa.a.ion of debris flow shows tha. the 13.15%, 22.94%, a.d 63.91% a.ea. a.e very high, high, a.d low susceptible to debris flow respectively. The propa.a.ion predica.ed by Flow-R va.ida.es the na.ura.ly occurring debris flow propa.a.ion a. observed in the field surveys. The output of this resea.ch will provide va.ua.le input to the decision ma.ers for the site selection, designing of the prevention system, a.d for the protection of current infra.tructure.
