As a major kind of cell surface adhesion molecules with signal transduction function,integrins play a major role in tumorigenesis and tumor *** role of integrins in tumor cells and the tumor microenvironment has been extensively *** the integrin family,integrinαvβ3 is the most studied integrin in the past 20 *** of preclinical and clinical studies have been conducted,which showed clinical benefits of targeting integrinαvβ3 in tumor imaging and ***,the focus of interest is gradually shifting from integrinαvβ3 toward other integrin ***α6 is expressed in many malignant tumors,such as colorectal cancer,head and neck squamous cell carcinoma,breast cancer,pancreatic cancer,and liver cancer,and its expression is correlated with poor survival of the *** studies have shown that tumor molecular imaging agents and therapeutic drugs targeting integrinα6 have excellent safety and efficacy in preclinical mouse models,encouraging clinical translation of this promising *** this review,we briefly overview the physiological and pathological function of integrinα6 and highlight the recent advances in integrinα6-targeted imaging and therapeutics in tumors.

Human herpesviruses(HHV),including the alpha,beta,andgamma subfamilies,are enveloped viruses with broad prevalence,establishing life-time latent infections and inducing a variety of diseases[1].Among them,herpes simplex virus(HSV),consists of two HSV-1 and HSV-2 variants,ubiquitouslyaffecting global populations[2].As an enveloped virus,HSV features a repertoire of glycoproteins such as glycoproteins D(gD),glycoproteins H(gH),glycoproteins L(gL),and glycoproteins B(gB),to orchestrate host cell recognition and infection[3,4].

There is currently no effective targeted therapeutic strategy for the treatment of central nervous system acute lymphoblastic leukemia(CNS-ALL).Integrinα6 is considered a potential target for CNS-ALL diagnosis and therapy because of its role in promoting CNS-ALL disease *** targeted peptide D(RWYD)(abbreviated RD),with nanomolar affinity to integrinα6 was identified by peptide scanning techniques such as alanine scanning,truncation,and ***,we developed a therapeutic nanoparticle based on the integrinα6-targeted peptide for treating *** self-assembled proapoptotic nanopeptide_(D)(RWYD)-_(D)(KLAKLAK)_(2)-G_(D)(FFY)(abbreviated RD-KLA-Gffy)contains the integrinα6-targeted peptide RD,the well-known proapoptotic peptide_(D)(KLAKLAK)_(2)(abbreviated KLA),and the self-assembling tetrapeptide GD(FFY)(abbreviated Gffy).The functional mechanism of RD-KLA-Gffy is clarified using different *** results demonstrate that RD-KLA-Gffy is highly enriched in CNS-ALL lesions and induces tumor cell apoptosis,thus reducing CNS-ALL disease burden and prolonging the survival of CNS-ALL mice without obvious ***,the combined use of RD-KLA-Gffy and methotrexate(MTX)shows a potent antitumor effect in treating CNS-ALL,indicating that RD-KLA-Gffy plays an important role in suppressing CNS-ALL progression either as a single agent or in combination with MTX,which shows promise for application in CNS-ALL therapy.

The persistent COVID-19 pandemic since 2020 has brought an enormous public health burden to the global society and is accompanied by various evolution of the virus *** consistently emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants harboring critical mutations impact the molecular characteristics of viral proteins and display heterogeneous behaviors in immune evasion,transmissibility,and the clinical manifestation during infection,which differ each strain and endow them with distinguished features during populational *** SARS-CoV-2 variants,identified as Variants of Concern(VOC)by the World Health Organization,challenged global efforts on COVID-19 control due to the rapid worldwide spread and enhanced immune evasion from current antibodies and ***,the recent Omicron variant even exacerbated the global anxiety in the continuous *** significant evasion from current medical treatment and disease control even highlights the necessity of combinatory investigation of the mutational pattern and influence of the mutations on viral dynamics against populational immunity,which would greatly facilitate drug and vaccine development and benefit the global public health *** in this review,we summarized the molecular characteristics,immune evasion,and impacts of the SARSCoV-2 variants and focused on the parallel comparison of different variants in mutational profile,transmissibility and tropism alteration,treatment effectiveness,and clinical manifestations,in order to provide a comprehensive landscape for SARS-CoV-2 variant research.

The hybrid cascaded high-voltage direct current(HVDC)transmission system has various operation modes,and some operation modes have sharply increasing requirements for protection rapidity,while the traditional pilot differential protection(PDP)has poor rapidity,and even refuses to operate when faults occur on the DC ***,a novel pilot protection scheme based on traveling wave characteristics is ***,the adaptability of the traditional PDP applied in engineering is analyzed for different operation ***,the expressions of the forward traveling wave(FTW)and backward traveling wave(BTW)on the rectifier side and the inverter side are derived for different fault *** the theoretical derivation,the difference between the BTW and FTW on the rectifier side is less than zero,and the same is true on the inverter ***,in the event of an external fault of DC line,the difference between the BTW and FTW at nearfault terminal protection installation point is greater than ***,by summing over the product of the difference between BTW and FTW of the rectifier side and that of the inverter side,the fault identification criterion is *** simulation results show that the proposed pilot protection scheme can quickly and reliably identify the short-circuit faults of DC line in different operation modes.

Silicon(Si)is widely used as a lithium‐ion‐battery anode owing to its high capacity and abundant crustal ***,large volume change upon cycling and poor conductivity of Si cause rapid capacity decay and poor fast‐charging capability limiting its commercial ***,we propose a multilevel carbon architecture with vertical graphene sheets(VGSs)grown on surfaces of subnanoscopically and homogeneously dispersed Si–C composite nanospheres,which are subsequently embedded into a carbon matrix(C/VGSs@Si–C).Subnanoscopic C in the Si–C nanospheres,VGSs,and carbon matrix form a three‐dimensional conductive and robust network,which significantly improves the conductivity and suppresses the volume expansion of Si,thereby boosting charge transport and improving electrode *** VGSs with vast exposed edges considerably increase the contact area with the carbon matrix and supply directional transport channels through the entire material,which boosts charge *** carbon matrix encapsulates VGSs@Si–C to decrease the specific surface area and increase tap density,thus yielding high first Coulombic efficiency and electrode compaction ***,C/VGSs@Si–C delivers excellent Li‐ion storage performances under industrial electrode *** particular,the full cells show high energy densities of 603.5 Wh kg^(−1)and 1685.5 Wh L^(−1)at 0.1 C and maintain 80.7%of the energy density at 3 C.

Growth traits are among the most important economic traits in pigs and are regulated by polygenes with complex regulatory *** the major indicators of growth performance,the backfat thickness(BFT),loin eye area(LEA),and days to 100 kg(D100)traits are commonly used to the genetics improvement in ***,the available genetic markers for these traits are *** uncover novel loci and candidate genes associated with growth performance,we collected the phenotypic information of BFT,LEA,and D100 in 1,186 pigs and genotyped all these individuals using the Neogen GGP porcine 80K *** performed a genome-wide association study(GWAS)using 4 statistical models,including mixed linear models(MLM),fixed and random model circulating probability unification(FarmCPU),settlement of MLM under progressively exclusive relationships(SUPER),Bayesian-information and linkage-disequilibrium Iteratively nested keyway(Blink),and identified 5,3,and 6 high-confidence single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)associated with BFT,LEA,and D100,*** annotation and quantitative trait locus(QTL)mapping analysis suggested that6 genes(SKAP2,SATB1,PDE7B,PPP1R16B,WNT3,and WNT9B)were potentially associated with growth performance in *** analysis suggested that the expression of Src Kinase Associated Phosphoprotein 2(SKAP2)was higher in prenatal muscles than in postnatal muscles,and the expression of Phosphodiesterase 7B(PDE7B)continuously increased during the prenatal stages and gradually decreased after birth,implying their potential roles in prenatal skeletal muscle ***,this study provides new candidate loci and genes for the genetic improvement of pigs.
