The mechanism of gold migration,enrichment,and precipitation in forming world-class gold deposits has been a topic of wide interest,particularly where these deposits are abundant in *** Jiaodong Peninsula in eastern China hosts some of the world-class gold deposits among which the Jinqingding deposit is one of the best examples with substantial telluride mineralization and thus provides opportunity to investigate the genetic connection between tellurium and gold *** orebody in this deposit is hosted in the NE-NNE-trending Jiangjunshi-Quhezhuang fault with the Jurassic Kunyushan granitic pluton as wall *** deposit involved three mineralization stages as inferred from assemblages and crosscutting relationships between *** stages are:(I)pre-ore gold-poor quartz-pyrite veins,(II)main ore auriferous quartz-pyrite-Te/Bi-minerals±sphalerite±chalcopyrite±barite±marcasite veins,and(III)post-ore quartz-calcite *** present here the textural,isotopic,and geochemical variations of different stages/generations of pyrite based on scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectroscopy(SEm-EDS),electron probe microanalysis(EPmA),and laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(LA-ICP-mS).Pyrite in the Jinqingding deposit displays distinct ***1a shows a porous and dissolution-reprecipitation texture in the core,whereas Py1b exhibits a smooth and flat *** analysis reveals contrasting elemental compositions,with Py1a characterized by low Au(avg.0.14 ppm),As(avg.15.57 ppm),Ag(avg.17.71 ppm),and Te(avg.19.22 ppm)contents,but elevated Co(avg.1068.10 ppm)and Ni(224.12 ppm)concentrations,and variable sulfur isotopic composition(δ^(34)SV-CDT=9.54‰-12.12‰).Conversely,Py1b displays increased concentrations of these elements and a more concentratedδ^(34)SV-CDT value(11.99‰-12.23‰),possibly associated with weak coupled dissolution-reprecipitation(CDR)*** Stage II,pyrite can be further categorized

In recent years,graphene field-effect-transistors(GFETs)have demonstrated an outstanding potential for terahertz(THz)photodetection due to their fast response and *** features are essential to enable emerging THz applications,including 6G wireless communications,quantum information,bioimaging and ***,the overall performance of these photodetectors may be utterly compromised by the impact of internal resistances presented in the device,so-called access or parasitic *** this work,we provide a detailed study of the influence of internal device resistances in the photoresponse of high-mobility dual-gate GFET *** dual-gate architectures allow us to fine tune(decrease)the internal resistance of the device by an order of magnitude and consequently demonstrate an improved responsivity and noise-equivalent-power values of the photodetector,*** results can be well understood by a series resistance model,as shown by the excellent agreement found between the experimental data and theoretical *** findings are therefore relevant to understand and improve the overall performance of existing high-mobility graphene photodetectors.

We present a theoretical study of the medium modifications of the p_(T)balance (x_(J)) of dijets in Xe+Xe collisions at■.The initial production of dijets was carried out using the POWHEG+PYTHIA8 prescription,which matches the next-toleading-order (NLO) QCD matrix elements with the parton shower (PS) *** SHELL model described the in-medium evolution of nucleus–nucleus collisions using a transport *** theoretical results of the dijet xJin the Xe+Xe collisions exhibit more imbalanced distributions than those in the p+p collisions,consistent with recently reported ATLAS *** utilizing the Interleaved Flavor Neutralisation,an infrared-and-collinear-safe jet flavor algorithm,to identify the flavor of the reconstructed jets,we classify dijets processes into three categories:gluon–gluon (gg),quark–gluon (qg),and quark–quark (qq),and investigated the respective medium modification patterns and fraction changes of the gg,qg,and qq components of the dijet sample in Xe+Xe *** is shown that the increased fraction of qg component at a small x_(J)contributes to the imbalance of the dijet;in particular,the q_(1)g_(2)(quark-jet-leading) dijets experience more significant asymmetric energy loss than the g_(1)q_(2)(gluon-jet-leading) dijets traversing the *** comparing the■of inclusive,■ dijets in Xe+Xe collisions,we observe■.moreover,ρ_(Xe),P_(b),the ratios of the nuclear modification factors of dijets in Xe+Xe to those in Pb+Pb,were calculated,which indicates that the yield suppression of dijets in Pb+Pb is more pronounced than that in Xe+Xe owing to the larger radius of the lead nucleus.

Ballistic design and testing of a composite armour reinforced by CNTs suitable for armoured vehicles

This paper is investigating the use of composite armour reinforced by nanomaterials, for the protection of light armoured(LAV) and medium armoured military vehicles(mAV), and the interaction between the composite materials and high-performance ballistic projectiles. Four armour materials, consisted of front hybrid fibre reinforced polymer cover layer, ceramic strike-face, fibre reinforced polymer intermediate layer and the metal matrix composite reinforced backplate, were manufactured and assembled by adhesive technology. The proposed laminated protection system is suitable for armoured ground vehicles;however, it could be used as armour on ground, air and naval platforms. The design of the protection system, including material selection and thickness, was elaborated depending on the performance requirements of Level 4 + STANAG 4569 military standard(projectile 14.5 mm × 114 mm API B32) and especially on a design philosophy which is analysed with the specifications. The backplate of this new composite is a hybrid material of metal matrix Composite(mmC) reinforced with carbon nanotubes(CNTs), manufactured with the use of powder metallurgy technique. The composite backplate material was morphologically, mechanically and chemically analysed. Results show that all plates are presenting high mechanical properties and ballistic characteristics, compared to commonly used armour plates. Real military ballistic tests according to AEP-STANAG 4569 were carried out for the total composite armour systems. After the ballistic tests, AA2024-CNT3 showed the best protection results, compared with the other plates(AA2024-CNT1 and AA2024-CNT2), with the projectile being unable to fully penetrate the composite plate.

This paper reviews the various control algorithms and strategies used for fixed-wing morphing aircraft applications. It is evident from the literature that the development of control algorithms for morphing aircraft technologies focused on three main areas. The first area is related to precise control of the shape of morphing concepts for various flight conditions. The second area is mainly related to the flight dynamics, stability, and control aspects of morphing aircraft. The third area deals mainly with aeroelastic control using morphing concepts either for load alleviation purposes and/or to control the instability boundaries. The design of controllers for morphing aircraft/wings is very challenging due to the large changes that can occur in the structural, aerodynamic, and inertial characteristics. In addition, the type of actuation system and actuation rate/speed can have a significant effect on the design of such controllers. The aerospace community is in strong need of such a critical review especially as morphing aircraft technologies move from fundamental research at a low Technology Readiness Level(TRL) to real-life applications. This critical review aims to identify research gaps and propose future directions. In this paper, research activities/papers are categorized according to the control strategy used. This ranges from simple Proportional Integral Derivative(PID) controllers at one end to complex robust adaptive controllers and deep learning algorithms at the other end. This includes analytical, computational, and experimental studies. In addition, the various dynamic models used and their fidelities are highlighted and discussed.
