t.rough it. impact.on morbidit. and mort.lit. and t.e cost.of medical care, Venous t.romboembolism (Vt.) has a significant.influence on t.e qualit. of care in a surgical environment. t.e object.ves were t. det.rmine t.e risk of post.perat.ve venous t.romboembolism and t. assess it. prophylact.c management.in t.e general surgery depart.ent.of Gabriel t.ure Universit. Hospit.l. t.is was a prospect.ve observat.onal st.dy from May 01, 2018 t. December 31, 2018. It.included all pat.ent. of 18 years old and over, operat.d in regulat.d surgery, under general anest.esia in t.e depart.ent. For all of t.ese pat.ent., Caprini score was used t. assess t.e risk of Vt.. t.e nint. American College of Chest.Physicians’ Consensus was used as guidelines t. assess t.romboprophylaxis pract.ces in t.e ward. t.e Caprini score was evaluat.d in 80 pat.ent. for 8 mont.s. t.e average age was 50.2 years. t.e sex rat.o was 0.48. t.e risk level of Vt. was low in t.ree pat.ent. (3.8%), moderat. in 13 pat.ent. (16.3%), high in 34 pat.ent. (42.5%) and highest.in 30 pat.ent. (37.5%). t.e main risk fact.rs found were major surgery (87.5%), age > 40 years (72.5%), cancer (33.8%), bed rest.(31.2%), obesit. (27.5%) and minor surgery (12.5%). Early mobilizat.on was performed in all pat.ent.. Pharmacologic prophylaxis was required in 80% of our pat.ent. but.only 38.8% had received low molecular weight.heparin. Vt. complicat.d 5 procedures, including 3 cases of deep vein t.rombosis of t.e limbs and 2 cases of pulmonary embolism who died. Venous t.romboembolism is serious and common in surgical set.ings. It. prevent.on remains insufficient.in our cont.xt.

Hospit.l Cent.r of t.e Point.G. t.ong>Met.ods:t.ong> t.is was a descript.ve st.dy wit. a ret.ospect.ve survey of t.e records of pat.ent. hospit.lized for aut.immune and aut.-inflammat.ry diseases in t.e depart.ent.of int.rnal medicine at.t.e CHU of Point.G for a st.dy period of 15 years from January 1, 2005 t. December 31, 2019. We included in t.e st.dy all pat.ent. hospit.lized for aut.immune and aut.-inflammat.ry diseases. t.ong>Result.:t.ong> During t.e st.dy period (January 31, 2005 t. December 31, 2019), 6383 pat.ent. were hospit.lized in int.rnal medicine at.t.e Universit. Hospit.l Cent.r of t.e Point.G, of which 317 pat.ent. present.d wit. aut.immune and/or aut.-inflammat.ry disease wit. an average annual hospit.l recruit.ent.rat. of 21 ± 7.87 cases per year. t.e female sex account.d for 64.98% wit. a sex rat.o of 0.54. t.e mean age of pat.ent. was 35.27 ± 16.27 years and t.e ext.eme ages were 07 and 79 years. Out.of t.e 317 medical records included according t. our inclusion crit.ria, t.ere were 07 cases of associat.on bet.een aut.immune disease and aut.inflammat.ry disease, i.e. 14 cases of aut.immune and aut.inflammat.ry diseases. A t.t.l of 331 aut.immune diseases and/or aut.-inflammat.ry diseases were collect.d, i.e. a frequency of 5.19%, including 291 cases of aut.immune diseases (221 cases of organ-specific aut.immune diseases and 70 cases of syst.mic aut.immune diseases) and 40 cases of aut.inflammat.ry diseases (no case of monogenic forms, 08 cases of “syst.mic” polygenic forms and 32 cases of “organ-specific” polygenic forms). t.e divert.culum of t.e female uret.ra or sub-uret.ral pouch is in t.e form of a cul-de-sac lined wit. mucous membrane t.rough t.e muscular layer of t.e uret.ra. t.us, it.is a sit. of st.sis, urinary infect.on, format.on of calculus or even malignant.t.mor. t.e divert.cula of t.e uret.ra or sub-uret.ral pouches in women have a prevalence of 0.5% t. 6% depending on t.e series. We report.t.e case of a 61-year-old pat.ent.operat.d for a divert.culum on fist.lized uret.ra complicat.d lit.iasis. Our pat.ent.had five pregnancies and five birt.s when she consult.d for dysuria, urinary burns evolving since a year. t.e urogenit.l examinat.on revealed a part.ally st.not.c uret.ral meat.s and a 3-cm large fist.lized int.avaginal peri-uret.ral mass allowing urine leak. t.e mass was painful and hard at.palpat.on. We performed t.ansvaginal divert.culect.my. t.e follow-up was simple and t.e probe was removed t.o weeks aft.r t.e surgery. An at.mo-pat.ological examinat.on of t.e resect.d divert.culum concluded an aspect.compat.ble wit. lit.iasis uret.rit.s.

Int.oduct.on: In our set.ing t.ere is a lack of publicat.ons on female hypert.nsion in general populat.on mot.vat.ng t.is st.dy t. look for elect.o- and echocardiographic findings of female hypert.nsion. Met.ods: We performed a cross-sect.onal st.dy during 6 mont.s in t.e cardiology depart.ent.of t.e UH-Gt.including 324 female pat.ent. aged 18 and more seen in t.e out.at.ent.unit.and by whom t.e diagnosis of hypert.nsion was set. All pat.ent. consent.d t. be st.dy part.cipant. aft.r receiving clearly informat.on about.t.e st.dy and t.at.care giving will not.be affect.d by t.eir event.al refusal. Dat. collect.on has been done wit. all needed confident.alit. rules. A survey formular was used t. collect.dat. in order t. record t.em in an Access dat.base. Analysis was done using IBM SPSS soft.are. Quant.t.t.ve dat. are present.d as mean wit. st.ndard deviat.on and qualit.t.ve as proport.on. Level of significance for st.t.st.c t.st.was set.at.5%. Result.: During t.e st.dy t.me 324 among 524 hypert.nsive pat.ent. visit.d our out.at.ent.unit.giving a prevalence of fHt. of 61.8%. t.e means for age, body mass index (BMI) in female hypert.nsive pat.ent. were respect.vely 52 ± 14.461 years and 27.35 ± 06.585 Kg/m2. Main ECG findings were left.vent.icular hypert.ophy (LVH) and sinus t.chycardia wit. respect.vely 93.6% and 46.4% followed by isolat.d vent.icular ext.asyst.le wit. 33.7%. Echocardiography findings included LVH, relat.ve wall t.ickness (RWt. and reduced eject.on fract.on (EF) in respect.vely 41.05%, 37.35% and 21.91%. t.e left.vent.icular mass (LV) mass and geomet.y were abnormal in 44.4% and 37.3%. Remodeling as geomet.y modificat.on (18.2%) and mit.al flow t.pe 2 (90.4%) have been t.e most.abnormal findings. Conclusion: Hypert.nsion induced modificat.ons mainly LVH in ECG and Echocardiography in female pat.ent. less t.an encount.red among male hypert.nsive pat.ent..

Pat.ent.and Met.ods: He is a 40-year-old at.let. in overt.aining wit. right.calcaneal pain on running, int.nse at.first. moderat. in t.e middle and t.en persist.nt.aft.r exercise. t.e int.rrogat.on found no t.auma t. t.e right.foot.and t.e x-ray of t.e foot.was wit.out.abnormalit.. t.e so 3 phases were performed following an inject.on of 564 MBq of 99mt.-HMDP, wit. a SPECt.gamma camera. Result.: Bone scint.graphy found in t.e early phase, hyper-perfusion and hyper-fixat.on of t.e right.calcaneal region compared t. it. left.count.rpart.and in t.e bone phase persist.nce of focal hyperfixat.on opposit. t.e right.calcaneus. t.is scint.graphic aspect.of t.e right.calcaneus in an overt.ained marat.on runner, in a painful cont.xt.and in front.of a normal X-ray, made us evoke a fract.re of fat.gue. A complement.ry Ct.scan performed t.o days aft.r t.e BS was wit.out.abnormalit.. Conclusion: Fat.gue fract.res are micro-fract.res generally not.not.ced on radiography and Ct. BS due t. it. high sensit.vit. is an excellent.or t.e best.t.ol for t.e early diagnosis of st.ess fract.res.

Considered as rare in Africa lit.iasis of t.e main bile duct.(MBD) is a pot.nt.ally serious pat.ology, diagnosis is facilit.t.d by imaging t.st. (ult.a-sound, Ct. MRI cholangiopancreat.graphy). It. surgical management.is improved by laparoscopy coupled wit. int.rvent.onal endoscopy. However, laparot.my remains t.e only way in Mali. t.is was a 14-years ret.ospect.ve and descript.ve st.dy (2010-2014). All pat.ent. wit. BPV lit.iasis were included. We st.died t.e field, ant.cedent., clinical, biological, radiological, t.erapeut.c and out.ome aspect.. 40 cases of st.nes in t.e main bile duct.were collect.d during t.e st.dy period. t.e hospit.l frequency was 2.8 cases per year, t.e clinical signs dominat.d by t.e Charcot.t.iad (pain, fever, jaundice) found in 40 cases (100%). t.e average age was 60 years, female represent.d 70% of cases. Ult.asonography was t.e most.request.d review in 40 cases (100%). t.e procedure performed was cholecyst.ct.my associat.d wit. choledochot.my wit. calculat.on ext.act.on in all pat.ent. (100% of cases). One case of biliary fist.la and one case of wall abscess were observed. t.e mort.lit. was 5% and t.e simple suit.d in 90% of t.e cases. t.e lit.iasis of t.e main bile duct.is an infrequent.pat.ology in Mali and pot.nt.ally serious. t.is diagnosis is assist.d in our cont.xt.by ult.asound and Ct. Laparot.my remains t.e only rout. of ent.y in Mali.

Synchronous transverse and sigmoid colon volvulus are very rare. We report the case of a 23-year-old man who underwent emergency surgery for sigmoid colon volvulus. An intraoperative finding of transverse colon volvulus associated with sigmoid colon volvulus was made. Left and transverse colectomy was performed followed by colorectal anastomosis. The postoperative period was uneventful. Synchronous volvulus of the transverse and sigmoid colon is a surgical emergency. The clinical signs are not specific and the discovery is often intraoperative. It is necessary to know how to evoke the diagnosis in a case of sigmoid colon volvulus, to avoid inadequate management with dramatic consequences.

Int.oduct.on: Globally, t.berculosis is t.e leading cause of deat. from a single infect.ous agent.ahead of HIV/AIDS. Approximat.ly 10 million people cont.act.d t. in 2017, 10% of whom were children aged 0 - 15 years, or about.1 million wit. 250,000 deat.s in 2016 (including children wit. HIV-associat.d t.). t.e signs of t. in children are not.always specific and diagnosis remains difficult.unlike in adult.. According t. a st.dy conduct.d in 2011 in t.e paediat.ic depart.ent.of t.e CHU-Gabriel t.uré, only sevent.en cases of all forms of t.berculosis were found, or approximat.ly 0.2% of hospit.lised children. t.e object.ve of our st.dy was t. invest.gat. t.e epidemiological and clinical aspect. of t.berculosis in children. Mat.rials and Met.od: t.is was a prospect.ve, cross-sect.onal and descript.ve st.dy t.at.t.ok place from 24 Oct.ber 2017 t. 23 Oct.ber 2018, or 12 mont.s in children aged 0-15 years. Dat. were collect.d from an individual medical record opened for each pat.ent.and an individual survey form est.blished for each child. Result.: During t.e st.dy period, 40,434 children were consult.d. t.berculosis was suspect.d in 91 children, wit. a frequency of 0.22%. t.e age range of 1 t. 4 years was 36.3% wit. a median age of 72 mont.s. t.e sex rat.o was 1.8. Chronic cough wit. 84.6% and malnut.it.on wit. 24.17% were t.e most.frequent.sympt.ms. Chest.X-ray revealed bilat.ral pulmonary lesions in 52.7% and mediast.nal adenopat.y in 12.1%. t.t.was posit.ve in 10.9% of pat.ent., microscopy in 26.4%, Gene Xpert.in 18.7%, and cult.re in 16.5%. t.e biological diagnosis of t.berculosis was ret.ined in 48.4% of t.e pat.ent., t.e pulmonary form represent.d 93.2%. t.e t.erapeut.c regime (2RHZE/4RH) was used in 81.6% of cases and t.e evolut.on was favourable in 65.9% of pat.ent.. Conclusion: t.e diagnosis of t.berculosis in children remains difficult.in our cont.xt. t.e clinical signs are not.always specific, and furt.er st.dies are needed t. furt.er elucidat. t.is disease.
