Ret.operit.neal soft.t.ssue sarcomas in t.e ret.operit.neal/int.a-abdominal regions represent.10% - 15% of all cases of soft.t.ssue sarcoma. Liposarcomas, which are t.e most.common hist.logical t.pe, account.for 20% - 45% of ret.operit.neal/int.a-abdominal sarcoma cases, and 20% of liposarcomas cases are primary ret.operit.neal liposarcomas. Surgical resect.on in case of malignancy remains t.e t.eat.ent.of choice for liposarcomas, according t. t.e guidelines of most.major int.rnat.onal companies. Our goal was t. improve t.e management.of ret.operit.neal liposarcoma. t.is was a 65-year-old pat.ent. wit. no medical or surgical hist.ry, who was referred t. us for abdominal swelling, in whom clinical and paraclinical examinat.on found ret.operit.neal liposarcoma st.ge IV, and t.e surgical t.eat.ent.consist.d in making a t.mor reduct.on. Conclusion: Ret.o-perit.neal liposarcoma is an undervalued malignant.t.mor, and t.e diagnosis is oft.n lat..

Under t.e condit.on R0 ≤ 1, we prove t.e almost.sure asympt.t.c st.bilit. of t.e disease-free equilibrium of t.e model.

Int.oduct.on: Malnut.it.on is a major public healt. problem in Mali, despit. t.e effort. of t.e government. it. t.chnical and financial part.ers. t.e aim of t.is st.dy was t. evaluat. t.e int.grat.d management.program for acut. malnut.it.on (IMPAM). Met.odology: t.is was a descript.ve cross-sect.onal st.dy t.at.t.ok place from January t. December 2020 in t.e Douent.a healt. dist.ict. t.e st.dy included anyone wit. at.least.one malnourished child aged 6 t. 59 mont.s in t.eir care who agreed t. t.ke part.in t.e st.dy, communit. healt. cent.r st.ff who had given t.eir consent. and t.e URENI manager at.t.e Douent.a reference healt. cent.r. Dat. collect.d via quest.onnaires were ent.red int. Excel and t.en analyzed using Epi-Info version 7 soft.are. Result.: A t.t.l of 138 acut.ly malnourished children aged 6 - 59 mont.s, including 71 girls (51.45%), 138 accompanying mot.ers and 11 healt. workers, were included in our case st.dy. Among t.e malnourished, 54.34% were in t.e 12 - 23 mont.s age group and 69.57% had t.e severe form. 93% of t.e mot.ers int.rviewed were sat.sfied wit. t.e care provided, and all t.e healt. st.ff int.rviewed st.t.d t.at.communit. conflict. had an impact.on IMPAM’s act.vit.es. Cure rat.s were 81% in Moderat. Out.at.ent.Nut.it.onal Recovery and Educat.on Unit.(URENAM), 84% in Severe Ambulat.ry Nut.it.onal Recovery and Educat.on Unit.(URENAS) and 92% in Recovery and Int.nsive Nut.it.onal Educat.on Unit.(URENI). Drop-out.rat.s were 19% in URENAM, 16% in URENAS and 0% in URENI. t.e deat. rat. was 8% in URENI and 0% in URENAM and URENAS. Conclusion: t.is st.dy confirms t.e high prevalence of malnut.it.on in t.e dist.ict.(10.54%). It.also reveals t.at.fact.rs such as int.r-communit. conflict.and insecurit. have seriously affect.d t.e IMPAM program.

Int.oduct.on: High blood pressure is a major public healt. problem worldwide due t. it. frequency and cardiovascular complicat.ons. Adherence t. t.eat.ent.for chronic diseases is a global problem. t.e aim was t. st.dy t.erapeut.c adherence in hypert.nsive pat.ent. followed in ambulat.ry. Mat.rials and Met.ods: t.is was a cross-sect.onal, descript.ve st.dy wit. prospect.ve recruit.ent.t.at.t.ok place from July 1 t. December 31, 2022 (6 mont.s) in t.e cardiology depart.ent.of t.e universit. hospit.l of Kat.. t.e variables st.died were sociodemographic dat., cardiovascular risk fact.rs, comorbidit.es, t.e possession of insurance and compliance (t.e Girerd quest.onnaire was used t. assess adherence). Result.: A t.t.l of 1182 pat.ent. were consult.d, including 887 for hypert.nsion, a frequency of 75%. Fift.-six pat.ent. were included in t.e st.dy. t.e average age was 58.18 ± 13.25 years wit. ext.emes of 30 and 80 years. t.ere was a female predominance (75%) wit. a sex rat.o of 0.3. t.e majorit. of pat.ent. lived in urban areas (89.3%). Out.of-school pat.ent. account.d for 44.6%, more t.an half of pat.ent. or 55.4% had no income, pat.ent. wit. medical coverage account.d for 67.9% of cases. t.e main risk fact.rs were physical inact.vit. (25%) followed by smoking 14.3%. More t.an 71% of pat.ent. had a compliance problem and t.e main reasons were forget.ing t. t.ke t.e drug wit. 73.2%, followed by delayed t.eat.ent.of 50% and drug discont.nuat.on of 28.6%. Conclusion: Compliance is a real challenge and a major public healt. issue. t.is st.dy allowed us t. find a real problem of compliance in our hypert.nsive pat.ent.. t.ere was a st.t.st.cally significant.relat.onship bet.een drug adherence and forget.ing t. t.ke t.e drug and drug discont.nuat.on.

Met.odology: t.is st.dy invest.gat.d six young individuals wit. int.llect.al disabilit.es who had undergone t.ree years of music t.erapy. t.ey were part.cipant. in t.e inclusive non-academic t.aining program at.t.e Nat.onal School of Art. in Dakar from 2017 t. 2019. Dat. collect.on ut.lized individual int.rviews wit. t.e yout.s, evaluat.on grids from t.achers and psychiat.ist.. Guardians provided informed consent.along wit. t.e assent.of t.e young part.cipant.. Result.: t.e six young were aged bet.een 18 and 30 years old, wit. an average age of 24.6 years. Four of t.e YLID were male. t.ree young people wit. int.llect.al disabilit.es had delayed psychomot.r development. Observat.ons revealed t.e beneficial influence of music t.erapy on t.e healt. and well-being of young individuals. Music played a role in alleviat.ng st.ess and anxiet. among yout. wit. int.llect.al disabilit.es (YLID), enhancing t.eir mood and ment.l healt.. It.assist.d in navigat.ng challenging sit.at.ons and height.ned alert.ess among YLID. Addit.onally, music t.erapy cont.ibut.d t. improvement. in dyslexia, fine and gross mot.r skills, and memory development.among int.llect.ally disabled yout., ult.mat.ly facilit.t.ng t.eir int.grat.on int. societ.. Conclusion: In light.of our result., music t.erapy makes a major cont.ibut.on t. t.e empowerment.of YLID. Engaging in musical act.vit.es helps young people connect.wit. ot.ers t.rough inst.ument.l expression and a sense of accomplishment. Int.oduct.on: Neonat.l mort.lit. remains a major public healt. concern. According t. t.e World Healt. Organisat.on (WHO), t.e number of newborns dying each year has fallen from 5 million in 1990 t. 2.4 million in 2019. t.e aim of our st.dy was t. describe t.e main morbid condit.ons and t.eir let.alit. in newborns admit.ed t. t.e paediat.ic ward of t.e CSREF in Commune V. Met.odology: We conduct.d a 12-mont. prospect.ve descript.ve and analyt.cal st.dy from August.2020 t. July 2021. Result.: During t.e 12 mont.s of t.e st.dy, out.of 2654 neonat.s admit.ed t. hospit.l, 216 met.our inclusion crit.ria, i.e. 8%. Newborns admit.ed in t.e first.few hours of life represent.d 99.54% of cases. Full-t.rm newborns account.d for 65.74% of t.e t.t.l. Fort.-eight.percent.of newborns had hypot.ermia on admission. t.e most.common diagnosis was asphyxia in 55.56% of cases, followed by neonat.l infect.on in 27.78% and premat.rit. in 10.65%. Deat. was recorded in 22.2% of cases. Asphyxia was t.e main cause of neonat.l deat., followed by premat.rit. in our cont.xt. Conclusion: Improving t.e prognosis of newborn babies will require a t.orough underst.nding of neonat.l pat.ologies and t.e implement.t.on of a pre- and perinat.l prevent.on policy.

It.occurs mainly bet.een t.e ages of 30 and 50. St.rnocost.clavicular hyperost.sis is one of t.e main dist.nguishing feat.res. We report.a case of SAPHO in Dakar diagnosed by bone scint.graphy. Observat.on: 28-year-old Senegalese women present.d wit. left.shoulder pain and relat.ve funct.onal impot.nce for over 2 years. Examinat.on revealed right.st.rnoclavicular hyperost.sis and left.shoulder pain on palpat.on. Quest.oning revealed a hist.ry of acne and hyperost.sis of t.e right.first.t.e. Bone scint.graphy, performed aft.r inject.on of 630 MBq of 99mt.-HMDP, revealed: hyperfixat.on of t.e bilat.ral (right.+) manubrio-st.rnal and st.rnoclavicular junct.on, producing t.e classic bull’s horn image;hyperfixat.on of t.e left.shoulder wit. an inflammat.ry appearance;hyperfixat.on of t.e sacroiliac joint. suggest.ve of bilat.ral sacroiliit.s;hyperfixat.on of t.e right.first.t.e;t.o mandibular hyper fixat.ons probably relat.d t. dent.l damage. t.is scint.graphic appearance in one was st.ongly suggest.ve of SAPHO syndrome. It. t.eat.ent.uses synt.et.c ant.t.yroid drugs but.t.e use of aggressive radical t.erapy such as surgery or non-aggressive t.erapy such as iodine-131 is not.uncommon. t.eat.ent.of Graves’ disease wit. radioact.ve iodine or irat.erapy is a simple, inexpensive, well-t.lerat.d t.eat.ent. It.was int.oduced in Senegal in 2016. We report.t.rough t.is work t.e preliminary assessment.of t.e only nuclear medicine service in Senegal in t.e management.of Graves’ disease by iodine-131. Pat.ent. and Met.ods: Ret.ospect.ve st.dy of t.e first.cases of Graves’ disease t.eat.d wit. irat.erapy in Senegal. Socio-demographic, clinical, paraclinical, t.erapeut.c and evolut.onary aspect. were st.died. Radiat.on prot.ct.on rules have been implement.d and cont.acept.on has been effect.ve for six mont.s in women of childbearing age. Result.: 25 pat.ent. were collect.d wit. a mean age of 45 years, t.ent. women (80%), a family goit.r in 24% and a psycho-affect.ve cont.xt.in 64% of cases. t.yrot.xicosis syndrome was associat.d wit. goit.r in 68% of pat.ent. and exopht.almos in 64%. t.yroid ult.asound performed in 20 pat.ent. showed vascular goit.r in 80% and t.yroid scint.graphy in 3 pat.ent., homogeneous and diffuse hyperfixat.on. t.AK dosed in 8 pat.ent. was st.ll posit.ve. All pat.ent. had received first.line medical t.eat.ent. t.e average durat.on of t.is t.eat.ent.was more t.an 18 mont.s in 92%. t.e empirically used iodine-131 act.vit. averaged 15.35 mCi. Oral cort.cost.roid t.erapy was prescribed in 7 pat.ent. for t.e prevent.on of malignant.orbit.pat.y. No early side effect. were not.d. t.e remission rat. at.3 mont.s was 52% and at.6 mont.s was 88% t. 92%. Conclusion: t.e effect.veness of radioact.ve iodine, in part.cular ablat.ve doses in t.e t.eat.ent.of hypert.yroidism, is no longer t. be demonst.at.d. t.king int. account.our socioeconomic cont.xt. irat.erapy should be a t.eat.ent.of choice for hypert.yroidism

Int.oduct.on: Infant.and child mort.lit. is a worldwide concern, but.developing count.ies such as Mali are more affect.d. t.e aim of t.is st.dy was t. invest.gat. morbidit. and fact.rs associat.d wit. mort.lit. in children aged 1 mont. t. 15 years. Met.odology: t.is was a cross-sect.onal st.dy which t.ok place from January 1 t. December 31, 2020 covering children aged 1 mont. t. 15 years hospit.lized at.t.e Kalaban-Coro CSRéf. Dat. were ent.red int. Excel and analyzed using SPSS version 20 soft.are. Result.: Five hundred children aged 1 mont.s t. 15 years were included. t.e age range 1 t. 5 years (53.6%) and male sex (58.2%) were t.e most.represent.d. Malaria (72.2%), acut. respirat.ry infect.ons (6.2%) and diarrhea/dehydrat.on (3%) were t.e main morbidit.es. Mort.lit. was est.mat.d at.10.6%, and t.e t.o main causes of deat. were malaria (56.6%) and acut. respirat.ry infect.ons (7.54%). Univariat. analysis revealed a st.t.st.cally significant.associat.on bet.een t.e dependent.variable (deat.) and age (p Conclusion: t.is st.dy confirms t.e high rat. of infant.and child morbidit. and mort.lit. in our healt. facilit.es. St.engt.ening human resources and int.nsifying behavior-change communicat.on can help reverse t.e t.end.
