Chronic hepatitis B causes a liver disease characterized by.inflammation of the liver parenchy.a. The aim of this study.was to investigate the evolution of biological parameters in patients treated with Tenofovir for chronic B infection at the Commune V referral health center in Bamako. We obtained a prevalence of 14.15%. The most represented age group was 31 - 40 y.ars, with 36.8%. The sex ratio was 1.44 in favour of men. Viral load was undetectable after 18 months of treatment in 25 patients (42.37%). Tenofovir, the 1st-line drug in Mali, is effective on the biological parameters monitored in patients.

Introduction: The aim of our study.was to describe the aspects clinical and pathology.of digestive poly.s. Methods: This was a descriptive and analy.ical study.with retrospective and prospective collection from January.2014 to September 2020, i.e. a duration of 72 months. Our study.focused on all cases of non-cancerous digestive pathologies. The data were collected from registers, medical files and reports from the anatomy.and pathological cy.ology.department of the Point G University.Hospital. All of this data was entered on an individual survey.form. This sheet includes demographic data, qualitative and quantitative variables. Results: We conducted a study.of 131 cases of digestive poly.s. The frequency.of digestive poly.s was 3.65%. The mean age of our patients was 44.6 ± 21 y.ars with extremes of 2 y.ars and 79 y.ars, with a male predominance and a sex ratio of 1.01. The biopsy.was the ty.e of sample most represented in 77.1%. The digestive poly.s were located in stomach in 37.4%;the colon in 27.5% then the rectum 21.4%. The poly. sessile accounted for 65.6%. Histological examination revealed that adenomatous poly.s were predominant in 77% of cases, followed by.juvenile poly.s in 9.2%, then hy.erplastic poly.s in 6.2%. Low grade dy.plasia was found in adenomatous poly.s in 61.53% and high grade found in 38.4%. Gastritis due to Helicobacter py.ori (Hp) was found in 16% of cases. Conclusion: Digestive poly.s are common in the general population. The prognosis is linked to the risk of neoplastic degeneration of adenomas.

Introduction: Upper gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy is an examination that involves exploring the upper part of the digestive tract using an endoscope. Our study was aimed to evaluate the practice of Upper GI endoscopy at the mother-child hospital in Mali. Patients and Methods: This was a descriptive retrospective study on reports of Upper GI endoscopy results in the digestive endoscopy unit at the mother-child hospital in Bamako from January to December 2018. Results: Endoscopy was performed in 465 patients including 231 males and 234 females. The sex ratio was 0.98. Patients were aged 46.69 years old on average with the extremes of 8 and 90 years old. Epigastralgia was the main referral in 50.5%. Endoscopy was normal in 24.7%. The main diagnostics were duodenogastric reflux in 32.5% and gastritis in 14.4%. Conclusion: y.e="font-family.Verdana;">The practice of Upper GI endoscopy.at the mother-child hospital in Mali has allowed the exploration of the upper digestive tract to contribute to the diagnosis of esogastroduodenal lesions.

Infection with the defective hepatitis D virus (HDV) co-infects or superinfects a patient carry.ng hepatitis B virus (HBV). Delta virus infection is relatively.common. The seriousness of infection with the hepatitis D virus (HDV), a virus defective in a patient carry.ng the hepatitis B virus (HBV), lies in its aggravating effect on the associated viral hepatitis B. Our aim was to study.the serological profile of HDV in HBsAg-positive patients. As this study.was fragmentary. we initiated this study.with the aim of investigating the serological profile of HDV in HBsAg-positive patients. This was a descriptive and analy.ical cross-sectional study.that ran from March 2019 to February.2020, a 12-month period. It focused on the population of patients seen and screened positive for HBsAg. We obtained a frequency.of 10%. The mean age of our patients was 41.8 ± 13.09 y.ars. The sex ratio was 4.5. VHD RNA was detected in 50% of patients. In 100% of cases, the presence of VHD RNA was associated with advanced fibrosis according to the APRI score, but without any.statistically.significant link. All HBV-infected patients should be screened for anti-HDV Ac. HDV infection leads to rapid progression to complications of liver disease.

Autoimmune pancreatitis is a distinct form of chronic pancreatitis. It is a chronic pancreatitis distinct from alcohol, genetic or idiopathic impairment and involves possible autoimmune mechanisms. The diagnosis of autoimmune pancreatitis is based on a body.of biological, histological and radiological arguments. Also called sclerosing ly.phoplasmacy.ic pancreatitis, it is one of the causes of chronic pancreatitis. The risk factor for the onset of cancer that it represents and its sensitivity.to corticosteroids make it a pathology.requiring special management. We report a case of autoimmune pancreatitis in a 35-y.ar-old patient.

Appendicitis bilharzia is a very.rare condition and we report 3 cases of this pathology.that sense clinical and biological similarities with bacterial appendicitis. The etiological diagnosis was exclusively.histopathological, this allowed to highlight eggs of Schistosome in the appendicular wall in the three patients. The surgical treatment was supplemented by.a specific medical treatment based on praziquantel. The surgical suites were simple for 2 patients, complicated by.superficial parietal suppuration in a patient.

Cenchrus biflorus called Karangiy. in the Hausa language is an annual pastoral grass which is a valuable herbaceous fodder in dry.land region in the context of climate change. However, little is known about the plant water use under the effects of cut in West Africa Sahel like Niger where the plant is a multipurpose grass species. Therefore, this study.investigated the impact of grazing (simulated by.shoot cuts) on biomass production. Cenchrus biflorus Roxb was grown on field plots and in pots and subjected to shoot cuts at different levels (3 cm and 5 cm from soil surface). The effect of shoot cuts on drought tolerance was evaluated by.assessing the response of transpiration to the diurnal variation of vapor pressure deficit (VPD). Results showed that the biomass production varied in response to shoot cuts depending on the culture sy.tem, and the level or frequency.of cuts. The mean biomass production increased significantly.especially.in field plots for 5 cm cuts compared to those at 3 cm and the control treatment. In addition, transpiration was highly.increased in response to the VPD increase. Shoot cuts significantly.reduced transpiration, whatever the level, largely.because they.reduced leaf surface. We concluded that moderate grazing (cuts to 5cm) can improve biomass production and allow better adaptation to water deficit as they.significantly.reduced water loss through transpiration. The study.recommends the cropping of the Cenchrus biflorus as climate solution as it performs better under water deficit for improving grazing resilience in Niger.

Introduction: The level of knowledge and attitude of health professionals about breast cancer are important determinants. General objective: To study.the knowledge, attitude and practice of health professionals of the hospital of the district of the commune IV on breast cancer. Methodology. This was a cross-sectional, prospective, descriptive, qualitative and quantitative study. The study.period was from 01 October 2022 to December 2022. Results: In one week of survey. 110 health workers (intern, obstetrician nurse, general practitioners and specialists) received the survey.sheet, 80 health workers informed it, a participation rate of 73%. The male sex was most represented at 63.75% with a sex ratio of 1.76. The average age was 39.59 y.ars with extremes of 22 and 61 y.ars. The clinical signs evoked by.the participants were: breast nodule (81.25%), followed by.breast discharge (48.75%). In relation to risk factors: interns and obstetrician nurses had no good knowledge, 51.72% of general practitioners had good knowledge, 43.48% of specialist doctors had good knowledge, and 5.88% of the wise had good knowledge. Conclusion: Breast cancer is a common pathology.around the world, health professionals are at the forefront of the fight against breast cancer, and this fight cannot be effective without trained personnel.

Retroperitoneal soft tissue sarcomas in the retroperitoneal/intra-abdominal regions represent 10% - 15% of all cases of soft tissue sarcoma. Liposarcomas, which are the most common histological ty.e, account for 20% - 45% of retroperitoneal/intra-abdominal sarcoma cases, and 20% of liposarcomas cases are primary.retroperitoneal liposarcomas. Surgical resection in case of malignancy.remains the treatment of choice for liposarcomas, according to the guidelines of most major international companies. Our goal was to improve the management of retroperitoneal liposarcoma. This was a 65-y.ar-old patient, with no medical or surgical history. who was referred to us for abdominal swelling, in whom clinical and paraclinical examination found retroperitoneal liposarcoma stage IV, and the surgical treatment consisted in making a tumor reduction. Conclusion: Retro-peritoneal liposarcoma is an undervalued malignant tumor, and the diagnosis is often late.
