Kidney disease has become a global public health problem affecting over 750 million people worldwide and imposing a heavy economic burden on patients.The complex architecture of the human kidney makes it very difficult to study the pathophysiology of renal diseases in vitro and to develop effective therapeutic options for patients.Even though cell lines and animal models have enriched our understanding,they fail to recapitulate key aspects of human kidney development and renal disease at cellular and functional levels.Organoids can be derived from either pluripotent stem cells or adult stem cells by strictly regulating key signalling pathways.Today,these self-differentiated organoids represent a promising technology to further understand the human kidney,one of the most complex organs,in an unprecedented way.The newly established protocols improved by organ-on-chip and coculture with immune cells will push kidney organoids towards the next generation.Herein,we focus on recent achievements in the application of kidney organoids in disease modelling,nephrotoxic testing,precision medicine,biobanking,and regenerative therapy,followed by discussions of novel strategies to improve their utility for biomedical research.The applications we discuss may help to provide new ideas in clinical fields.

Over the last few years,neuro-cardiology has grown the awareness of the relationship between the brain and the heart,contributing to developing a modern interdisciplinary field of neuro-cardiology.To enhance the awareness of the relationship between the brain and the heart,we concentrate on the brain function disability that results from cardiac dysfunction and the brain function impairment that results from cardiac dysfunction.It is usual for patients with cerebral ischemia to be preceded by cardiac impairment.The main triggers of cerebral ischemia involve arrhythmia,atrial fibrillation,etc.,reflecting a strong connection between the heart and the brain.Cerebral ischemia is linked to how the heart and brain communicate and affect each other at the pathophysiological stage.The formation of the heart-brain axis mechanism is important in its incidence and growth.The analysis explores the etiology and pathogenesis of cerebral ischemia centered on the heart-brain axis neuronal pathway and the mechanism of the relationship between the heart and brain,which offers important enrichment to the hypothesis of combined care of brain and heart and is extremely useful for gaining new knowledge for research and production of multi-target drugs for the prevention and treatment of cerebral ischemia.

Background:The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has caused a public catastrophe and global concern.The main symptoms of COVID-19 are fever,cough,myalgia,fatigue and lower respiratory tract infection signs.Almost all populations are susceptible to the virus,and thebasic reproduction number(R0)is 2.8-3.9.The fight against COVID-19 should have two aspects:one is the treatment of infected patients,and the other is the mobilization of the society to avoid the spread of the virus.The treatment of patients includes supportive treatment,antiviral treatment,and oxygen therapy.For patients with severe acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS),extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO)and circulatory support are recommended.Plasma therapy and traditional Chinese medicine have also achieved good outcomes.This review is intended to summarize the research on this new coronavirus,to analyze the similarities and differences between COVID-19 and previous outbreaks of severe acute respiratory syndrome(SARS)and Middle East respiratory syndrome(MERS)and to provide guidance regarding new methods of prevention,diagnosis and clinical treatment based on autodock simulations.Methods:This review compares the multifaceted characteristics of the three coronaviruses including COVID-19,SARS and MERS.Our researchers take the COVID-19,SARS,and MERS as key words and search literatures in the Pubmed database.We compare them horizontally and vertically which respectively means concluding the individual characteristics of each coronavirus and comparing the similarities and differences between the three coronaviruses.Results:We searched for studies on each outbreak and their solutions and found that the main biological differences among SARS-CoV-2,SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV are in ORF1a and the sequence of gene spike coding protein-S.We also found that the types and severity of clinical symptoms vary,which means that the diagnosis and nursing measures also require differentiation.In addition to the common route of transmission including airbo

This work consists of evaluating the quality of the mechanical parameters of large-diameter steels, i.e. 20, 25, 28 and 32, through a process of recycling scrap metal that fills garages, rubbish dumps, gutters and other abandoned sites, as well as imported concrete reinforcing steel sold in the Republic of Guinea. To carry out this important work, a number of mechanical tensile and bending tests and a microscopic analysis combining two devices, an electron microscope and a photographic camera, were carried out. The samples were taken from sampling areas in the major communes of Conakry, namely: Casse Sonfonia, Matoto and Kagbélen. The tensile strength values of the large dimensions 20, 25, 28 and 32 are given in the tables.

The aim of this study was to determine the quality of rebar produced from recycled scrap metal collected throughout the country,and imported rebar sold in the Republic of Guinea.To do this,the samples were subjected to various mechanical tests involving traction,bending and microscopic analysis.In the Lambanyi and Casse Sonfonia samples,all the tensile strength values for diameters 12,14 and 16 were above 550 MPa.Conversely,the iron samples from Baillobaye and the 10 mm diameters of the samples from Casse Sonfonio and Lambanyi have less appreciable values.The limits of elasticity were determined.The various values found vary more or less from the conventional yield strength of the NF A35-016 reference supplied by CBITEC,which is 500 MPa.Microscopic analysis gives us an insight into the internal structure of the iron samples used.This study may provide the company and the vendors with an alternative for their improvements.

Study and Formulation of Composite Flours Based on Gluten Flour and Local Cereal Flours: Fonio, Millet and Sorghum

This study makes it possible to establish baking flours of nutritional quality and technologically acceptable following the increase in their rheological parameters due to the insertion of gluten flour. The composite flours were obtained using the Philips mixer type (model HR2811). The nutritional qualities of the formulated flours were determined by the Kjeldahl, AOAC 985-29, UV-VIS spectrophotometry (DR 5000;HACH and LANGE, France) and Soxhlet gravimetric methods. The compounds obtained are respectively: Protein, carbohydrate, lipid, micronutrient and vitamin contents. Monitoring the analysis of functional properties (water and oil absorption capacity) as well as baking value.

The inclusion of composite flours in infant food at weaning time should be a priority for mothers. The aim of this project is to formulate infant flour based on pulp flour enriched with oilcake from these grains after extraction of the oil. To do this, the elements were combined to obtain a regulatory formulation. Micro- and macronutrients, minerals, vitamins and tasting of the prepared porridge were determined. The results obtained were satisfactory. The moisture content of the fruit pulp was determined using oven-drying techniques: 92.2%, carbohydrates 6.00%, lipids 0.3%, ash 0.80%, proteins 1.10%, calcium 19.8%, phosphorus 42.6% and iron 0.4%. Furthermore, the carbohydrate content of flours composed of 5% insertion is 62.9 g to 48.8 g per 100 g, and the protein content of compound flours with 5% insertion is 15.9 g to 28.25 g per 100 g. On the other hand, the vitamin C and E contents of fresh pulp and oilcake are 25 mg, 13 mg and 21 mg respectively. However, only copper and β-carotene from 5% to 30% insertion remain invariant to the different insertion rates, with a value of 25 mg for copper and 0 µg for β-carotene. In addition, a variation in the degree of swelling of weaning flours compared with the standard from 3.95% at 5% insertion to 3.58 at 30% insertion was observed. The solubility of flours increases on the one hand with increases in the degree of insertion of the cakes. Flour formulated so many toward basicity. But the presence of traces of oil containing fatty acids can reduce this basicity. This study may be an alternative of industrial flours in infant nutrition.

As part of the national strategy to further develop the wind energy sector,the eight prefectures of Upper Guinea have been selected.Using meteorological data recorded over thirty years(1991-2021)at a height of 20 m,we assessed wind resources in terms of characteristic speeds,power and available energy.To this end,the Weibull distribution method was used and the following values were obtained:3.66 m/s for the average speed;1,102.83 W/m^(2)for the available power and 8,747.06 kWh/m^(2)/year for the annual available energy.

Introduction: Cystic lymphangiomas are rare benign malformative tumors of the lymphatic system of obscure etiopathogenesis. The cervico-facial location remains the most common (75%). Although benign, these tumors remain potentially fatal, due to possible compression of the upper aero-digestive tract. The aim of this work is to study the epidemiological, diagnostic and therapeutic characteristics of cervico-mandibular congenital cystic lymphangiomas in the pediatric surgery department of the Donka National Hospital (HND) Conakry. Patients and methods: This is a retrospective and descriptive study of 13 files lasting 7 years from January 2015 to December 31, 2021. The files of children whose age is less than or equal to 15 years operated on cervical tumor with histological evidence of cystic lymphangioma were retained. The data were analyzed using SPSS statistical software 21 and anonymously. Results: The incidence of this study was 1.86 cases per year and a sex ratio of 0.62 in favor of girls. The average age was 8 months 19 days. In the antecedents, we only find poorly monitored pregnancies. The average size of the tumors was 11.85 cm. Cervical ultrasound and standard x-ray of the cervical mass were the only examinations performed. Total surgical excision of the cervical tumor was performed in all patients. The mass was polycystic on exploration. The histological examination of the surgical specimens was in favor of a cystic lymphangioma. The surgical consequences were simple in 11 patients (84.62%) and complicated by parietal suppuration in 2 cases (15.38%). There were no cases of recurrence after one year of follow-up. Conclusion: Cervico-mandibular cystic lymphangiomas are the most frequent locations of congenital lymphangiomas in children. Their severity is linked to the risk of compression of the aero-digestive tracts. Their diagnosis must be confirmed by the histology of the surgical specimen.
