In this study we investigated the hypolipidemic and anti-lipoprotein-oxidation activities of phenolic extract from sweet basil a popular culinary *** hypolipidemic activity was studied in mice model injected intraperitoneally with Triton WR-1339 at a dose of 200 mg/kg body *** animals were grouped as follows:normolipidemic control group(n=8),hyperlipidemic control group(n=8)and phenolic extract-treated group(n=8)at a dose of 200 mg/kg body *** 7 h and 24 h treatment,the oral administration of the phenolic extract exerts a significant reduction of plasma total cholesterol,triglycerides and LDL-cholesterol concentrations(P<0.001).On the other hand,we demonstrated that the phenolic extract prevents plasma lipid oxidation by 16%(P<0.001),20%(P<0.001),32%(P<0.001)and 44%(P<0.001)at a doses of 10,25,50 and 100g/mL,*** results were compared with ascorbic acid used as standard synthetic *** analysis shows that the extract contains 4 major phenolics and is especially rich in rosmarinic *** finding indicates that the phenolic extract might be beneficial in lowering hyperlipidemia and preventing atherosclerosis.

The demand for the telecommunication services,such as IP telephony,has increased dramatically during the COVID-19 pandemic *** tele-phony should be enhanced to provide the expected *** of the issues that should be investigated in IP telephony is bandwidth *** telephony pro-duces very small speech samples attached to a large packet *** header of the IP telephony consumes a considerable share of the bandwidth allotted to the IP *** wastes the network's bandwidth and inﬂuences the IP telephony *** paper proposes a mechanism(called Smallerize)that reduces the bandwidth consumed by both the speech sample and the *** is achieved by assembling numerous IP telephony packets in one header and use the header'sﬁelds to carry the speech *** metrics have been used to measure the achievement Smallerize *** number of calls has been increased by 245.1%compared to the typical *** bandwidth saving has also reached 68%with the G.28 ***,Smallerize is a possible mechanism to enhance bandwidth utilization of the IP telephony.

In this work we calibrated the NaI(Tl) scintillation detectors (5.08 × 5.08 cm2 and 7.62 × 7.62 cm2) and the Full Energy Peak Efficiency (FEPE) for these detectors have been calculated for point sources placed at different positions on the detector axis using the analytical approach of the effective solid angle ratio. This approach is based on the direct mathematical method reported by Selim and Abbas [1,2] and has been used successfully before to calibrate the cylindrical, parallelepiped, and 4π NaI(Tl) detectors by using point, plane and volumetric sources. In addition, the present method is free of some major inconveniences of the conventional methods.

This paper focuses on the case of intrabony mandibular schwannoma in a 39 yrs healthy male who was addressed by his dentist for an asymptomatic radiolucency of the left mandibular corpus. Computed Tomography Dentascan showed a soft tumour continuous to the path of the inferior alveolar nerve. Confirmation was made after surgical excision and careful histological examination. Radiolucent images of the mandible are frequently met by dentists and oro-facial surgeons, and suggest first odontogenic cysts because of their high frequency. But even if sheath nerve tumours are very rare, this case report reminds the necessity to keep them in mind.

AIM: To examine the publication trend of oculoplastic articles throughout the last decade in general ophthalmology ***: A review of all abstracts published between Januar y 2010 to December 2019 in general, clinical ophthalmic journals was conducted. Articles that were categorized as original articles in general and clinical journals were included in the ***: Totally 10 281 abstracts were included. Of them 465(4.5%) were oculoplastic publications. The mean number of annual-publications was 46.5 and the mean annual-rate of oculoplastic publications was 4.51%. A significant decreasing trend in the number of oculoplastic publication in the last decade was found(Pelid diseases, 160(34.40%) were about orbit diseases, 92(19.80%) were about lacrimal diseases and 34(7.30%) were about thyroid eye disease(TED). A significant decreasing trends in the number of orbital and eyelids publications were found(Pelids, TED and lacrimal-diseases publications throughout the last ***: Oculoplastic subspecialty deals with a wide range of pathologies in different ages. However, less than 5% of the articles in general, clinical, high impact factor ophthalmology journals are about oculoplastic diseases. One of the best way for ophthalmologists from different subspecilties, nowadays, to be updated, is to read highimpact-factor, general ophthalmology journals. Therefore, it is important that those journals will include articles about breakthroughs in oculoplastic.

Rendering of Cellulose Acetate Fabrics Self-Cleaning through Treatment with TiO<sub>2</sub>Nano Particles

Finishing using TiO2-nanosol treatment of cellulose acetate (CA) fabrics before and after the latter were pretreated with H2O2was undertaken with a view to impart unique properties to CA fabrics, notably, self-cleaning. Finishing was performed as per the pad-dry-cure method. The finishing treatment involved dispersing the nano-sized TiO2particles in a mixture of water and ethylene glycol (1:1) and application of the dispersions to CA fabrics was made under a variety of conditions. Self cleaning ability of the fabrics is favored by 1) increasing the concentration of TiO2-nanosol to certain limit;2) prolongation of curing time up to 15 second;3) raising the microwave power from 80% to 100% but with the certainty that power of 90% is the most proper. Besides, exposure time-to UV radiation-up to 90 minutes is essential to have remarkable self cleaning properties while keeping other technical properties, namely, strength, roughness and wettability practically unaltered. Incorporation of binder in the finishing pad-bath helps stabilizing the deposition of TiO2 with excellent self-cleaning. Pretreatment of CA fabrics with H2O2 is a pre requisite to guarantee excellent self-cleaning ability. Thermofixation and microwave fixation produces fabrics with very comparable technical properties.

Association between Serum 25-hydroxy Vitamin D Concentration and Taql Vitamin D Receptor Gene Polymorphism among Jordanian Females with Breast Cancer

Background： Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among females. Genetic polymorphisms might have a role in carcinogencsis. The aim of this study was to determine whether C to T base substitution within Taql Vitamin D receptor （VDR） gene （rs731236） in exon 9 was a risk factor among patients with breast cancer. Methods： Peripheral blood was drawn from 122 Jordanian breast cancer patients and 100 healthy Jordanian volunteers in Al-Bashecr Hospital during the summer months （from June to November of 2013, 2014, and 2015）. DNA was amplified using polymerase chain reaction （PCR）, followed by Taql restriction enzyme digestion. Quantification of serum 25-hydroxy Vitamin D （25[OH]D） level was determined by competitive immunoassay elecsys. Results： Genotypic frequencies for Taql TT, Tt, and tt genotypes were 41%, 46%, and 13% for breast cancer compared to 42%, 50%. and 8% for control, respectively. Vitamin D serum level was significantly lower in the breast cancer patients （8.1 ± 0.3 ng/ml） compared to the control group （21.2± 0.6 ng/ml; P =0.001）. This study showed an inverse association between 25（OH）D serum level and brcasl cancer risk （odds ratio [OR], 22.72, 95% confidence interval [C/], 10.06 51.29）. Conclusions： An inverse association was found between 25（OH）D serum level and breast cancer risk. Statistical difference was also found between different VDR Taql genotypes and circulating levels of 25（OH）D among Jordanian females with breast cancer.
