Objectives: in case of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (SOPK), predicting ovarian response before undertaking risky in vitro fertilization (IVF) proceeds is crucial. Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) is introduced in literature as an interesting indicator of follicle’s maturation and quality. The aim of this study was to investigate whether serum SHBG levels are related to fertilization outcomes in SOPK women undergoing IVF procedures. Methods: in a prospective cohort study, we enrolled 61 SOPK women and 91 matched group of infertile women. All of them were undergoing FIV/ICSI proceeds. SHBG levels were performed in peripheral blood samples as well as others hormones determination. Results: we noted significant differences between our study group of SOPK patients and the Control group concerning the characteristics of the ovarian response to gonadotrophins administration and concerning the profile of biological proceeds’ outcomes. But no significant correlation between SHBG and FIV/ICSI outcomes was found either in SOPK or in Control group. Conclusions: our study provides evidence that SHBG can’t be considered as a predictor of IVF outcomes because production of this steroid-binding protein depends on many parameters such as metabolic disorders frequently associated with SOPK.

In this study the effect of pH, adsorption behavior and the chemical struc-tures of two dyes (Methyl Orange and Bromothymol Blue) on the photo-degradation rate constant, was investigated. Adsorption isotherm shows that the adsorption amount of dyes on TiO2 surface is highly related to the pH of the solution and to the pKa of each dye. In acidic medium the adsorption percentage of Methyl Orange on TiO2 surface was 76% facing 5% for Bromothymol Blue. The kinetic study shows compatibility between the degradation rate constant and the adsorption percentage on the surface. In basic medium the adsorption percentage of Methyl orange and Bromothymol Blue is similar while the degradation rate of Methyl orange is two times faster than that of Bromothymol Blue which reveals the role of chemical structure in the photodegradation rate.

There are few EEG studies on finger movement directions because ocular artifacts also convey directional information, which makes it hard to separate the contribution of EEG from that of the ocular artifacts. To overcome this issue, we designed an experiment in which EEG’s temporal dynamics and spatial information are evaluated together to improve the performance of brain-computer interface (BCI) for classifying finger movement directions. Six volunteers participated in the study. We examined their EEG using decoding analyses. Independent components (ICs) that represented brain-source signals successfully classified the directions of the finger movements with higher rates than chance level. The weight analyses of the classifiers revealed that maximal performance of the classification was recorded at the latencies prior to the onset of finger movements. The weight analyses also revealed the relevant cortical areas including the right lingual, left posterior cingulate, left inferior temporal gyrus, and right precuneus, which indicated the involvement of the visuospatial processing. We concluded that combining spatial distribution and temporal dynamics of the scalp EEG may improve BCI performance.

Ions Sensitive Field Effect Transistors (ISFETs) are becoming the platform sensors for important chemical and biomedical applications. However, the accuracy of ISFET output measurement is greatly affected by the presences of low-frequency noise, drift and slow response of the device. This requires more safety in measured results and the tools of analysis. In this paper, we present fundamental limits on the sensitivity of ISFETs micro-sensors, arising from intrinsic and extrinsic noise sources. We developed an algorithm in MATLAB in order to model the frequency analysis of the 1/f noise in ISFET sensor using Hooge theory. We have shown that the 1/f noise of the ISFETs sensors is due to both the electrochemical system (pH solution) and the MOS component (canal size, insulator thickness). The temperature effect on the ISFET noise and the signal conditioning are also performed.

A reflecting diffraction grating has been etched onto the backside of a standard cantilever for atomic force microscopy, and the diffracted light has been used to monitor the angular position of the cantilever. It is shown experimentally that for small angles of incidence and for large reflection angles, the force sensitivity can be improved by few times when an appropriate detection scheme based on the position sensitive (duolateral) detector is used. The first demonstration was performed with a one micron period amplitude diffraction grating onto the backside of an Al-coated cantilever etched by a focused ion beam milling for the experiments in air and an analogous 600 nm-period grating for the experiments in air and in water.

Objective:To test the response of the epiphyte community structure and biomass of the Posidonia oceanica(***)leaves to natural ***:Sampling of *** was carried in winter and summer on three sites in Kuriate Islands(western coast of Tunisia)subject to different environments *** of *** were preserved in seawater-formalin(5%)solution for macro-epiphytes species identification in the *** samples were examined for leaf surface per shoot and the coverage(expressed as a percentage of leaf surface)of each morphological group,then carefully scraped with a razor *** and scraped leaves were oven-dried at 60℃for 48 *** was expressed as g dry weight/***:The biomass and the percentage cover of macro-epiphytic leaves showed seasonal *** highest values of epiphytic leaves were detected in summer whereas the lowest values were registered during *** showed that Kuriate Islands functioned as a single ecosystem in terms assemblage of macro-epiphytic leaves since no significant variation was detected for biomass and percentage cover at the scale *** study showed that natural disturbance had no effect on the assemblage distribution and the biomass of macro-epiphyte on the leaves of *** between the scales of site,whereas variability at the smallest scale was *** showed that exposure to wind and current had no effect on the biomass of macro-epiphytes ***:Biomass and assemblages of macro-epiphytic leaves of *** were high in summer and homogenous between all sites *** disturbances such as exposure to wind have no effect on the distribution and the biomass of epiphytes on the shallow meadow.

本文试图评价摩洛哥政府在仿效发展型国家的政策与制度上所进行的努力,尽管摩洛哥在吸引外国直接投资方面有了长足进步,用以补救资本积累的不足并有效地为关键工业部门配置资源,但摩洛哥在借助技术转让提升本国经济方面似乎是失败的。在制度层面上,一些发展性的制度开始出现了,比如说发展性的官僚机构,然而,一个暂时的代理机构与出口促进组织将使得摩洛哥出口导向政策的成功蒙上一层阴影,比如,摩洛哥没有意识到中国的崛起有可能以“雁群模式”带动摩洛哥的发展。经济特区的建立是中国走向经济发展的第一步,摩洛哥准备复制中国经验,然而,更应该将精力集中于为吸引更多的外国直接投资而提供友好的投资环境,第一章描述了摩洛哥在建设一个发展型国家方面的努力,这可以纳入经济增长的三项要素:资本积累、资源有效配置以及技术提升,大量证据表明摩洛哥政府在吸引外国直接投资以解决资本积累与发展的问题上尽了最大努力,在发展型国家的道路上为特定工业项目有效配置资源的目标也已实现,然而,摩洛哥在技术提升方面却显得进取不足,政府必须采用适合在经济体系内进行技术转让与传播的制度,以确保稳定的发展。第二章首先介绍摩洛哥政治经济的简要历史,然后描述了一个经由自我发现与最近确保公共基金有效配置于关键工业的工业化政策的努力从而实现摩洛哥经济重建的过程,本章还阐明摩洛哥的官僚机构变得更具发展性,摩洛哥需要一个暂时的代理机构,并加强摩洛哥出口促进中心的作用,这个机构应该已经看到了摩洛哥出口导向政策的成功。第三章探讨了摩洛哥的发展拥有一个有利的外部环境,即中国的崛起,正如许多发展型国家借助于国际体系中的各种有利机会一样,摩洛哥应该借助“雁群模式”,在其未来发展中得益于同中国的关系。在纵览中—摩关系之后,我们得出这样的结论,即尽管中—摩关系在历史上长期健康发展,但并不意味着能够增强经济合作,为摩洛哥带来更多的投资与技术转让,这也适用于摩洛哥的其他贸易伙伴。

Objective:To study seasonal and the daily distribution of diatoms in the three tidal periods(flood,slack and ebb period)during the spring ***:Water samples were taken and environmental variables were measured three times in each tidal period during 10 days of spring *** was done in 2007 in Cercina station located in the western coast of Kerkennah(34°41'27''N;11°07'45''E)(Southern Tunisia).Results:Nutrients showed significant variation between seasons,increasing in spring and decreasing noticeably in autumn and *** 36 diatom species were *** revealed a remarkable abundance increase in spring and *** differences in diatom abundances were revealed over the tidal periods,with the highest rates being detected during the flood and the ebb period,while the abundance rate was lowest during the slack *** could presumably be attributed to the increase of nutrient supply of suspended particulate matter during water *** results revealed a correlation between diatom abundance and temperature,NO_(2)^(-),NO_(3)^(-),Si(OH)_(4) and PO_(4)^(3).Temperature seemed to be the most important factors which may influence the distribution and diatom ***:Tide has various effects on the nutrients status and diatoms community(in terms of species composition,succession and abundance)between different tidal *** of diatoms was correlated with changes in the circulation of water bodies and changes in nutrient regime.

The Effect of Overweight on The Risk of Recurrence in Tunisian Patients with Operable Breast Cancer

Obesity is associated with worse breast cancer outcomes in Western and Asian women. The present study was to determine the relation of body mass index (BMI) to disease-free survival (DFS) in Tunisian patients with operable breast cancer. We retrospectively reviewed data from 223 patients with operable breast cancer treated with primary surgery and adjuvant epirubicin-based chemotherapy. Patients were categorized into lower-BMI (2;N=114) v higher-BMI (>27.5 kg/m2;N=113). Patients’and disease characteristics, including tumor size and lymph node status, were similar between the 2 groups. With a median follow-up of 56 months, there were 42 and 30 DFS events in the lower- and higher-BMI group, respectively (adjusted hazard ratio (HR): 0.74;95% CI, 0.43 to 1.26;p=0.26). A significant interaction (p<0.001) was found between BMI category and time, with a significant DFS advantage for the higher-BMI group after 3 years (adjusted HR: 0.28;95% CI, i to 0.86;p=0.03). We conclude that overweight is associated with a decreased risk of late recurrence in Tunisian patients with operable breast cancer.

Objective:To study the seasonal variability of heterotrophic dinoflagellate in the station of Cercina(southern coast of Tunisia).Methods:Sampling was done in 2007 in Cercina station located in the western coast of Kerkennah(34°41'27''N;11°07'45''E)(Southern Tunisia).Three replicates of water samples were taken during 10 days of each *** variables and nutrients were measured in ***:A significant seasonal difference was observed for temperature and water *** highest values were observed in spring and *** significant seasonal difference was,however,detected for nitrite,nitrate,ammonia,silica and ***-five species of dinoflagellate were identified in the station of *** of dinoflagellates fluctuated between seasons with values showing a significant seasonal and monthly *** highest mean abundance was recorded in spring in April,while the lowest abundance was detected in December in *** granii was the main species contributing to the dissimilarity between spring and winter with 13.98%followed by Peridinium *** 12.5%of dissimilarity and by Polykrikos *** 10.58%.Conclusions:Heterotrophic dinoflagellates proliferate in spring and *** increase was justified by the nutrient *** granii and Polykrikos kofoidii were the main heterotrophic dinoflagellate making difference between seasons and their densities were positively correlated with both temperature and salinity.
