Understanding the interplay between investor sentiment and cryptocurrency returns has become a critical area of ***,this study aims to uncover the role of Google investor sentiment on cryptocurrency returns(including Bitcoin,Litecoin,Ethereum,and Tether),especially during the 2017-18 bubble(January 01,2017,to December 31,2018)and the COVID-19 pandemic(January 01,2020,to March 15,2022).To achieve this,we use two techniques:quantile causality and wavelet ***,the quantile causality test revealed that investors’optimistic sentiments have notably higher cryptocurrency returns,whereas pessimistic sentiments have significantly opposite ***,the wavelet coherence analysis shows that co-movement between investor sentiment and Tether cannot be considered *** result supports the role of Tether as a stablecoin in portfolio diversification *** fact,the findings will help investors improve the accuracy of cryptocurrency return forecasts in times of stressful events and pave the way for enhanced decision-making utility.

Objective:To determine the anticancer potential of the methanolic extract from Ephedra alata against breast cancer both in vitro and in ***:The effects of the methanolic extract of Ephedra alata on the viability,migration as well as apoptosis of breast cancer 4T1 cells were measured using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay,Transwell assay,and annexin V-FITC staining assay,*** examination was also carried ***,a murine breast cancer model was established to evaluate the inhibitory effect of the *** parameters including hepatic and non-hepatic enzymes,malondialdehyde,and glutathione were ***:The methanolic extract of Ephedra alata showed a strong anti-proliferative and anti-migratory activity against 4T1 cells in a dose-dependent *** also induced apoptosis in 4T1 *** an in vivo mouse model,the extract markedly inhibited tumor growth,reduced malondialdehyde,and hepatic and non-hepatic enzymes as well as increased glutathione ***:The methanolic extract of Ephedra alata inhibits breast cancer in vitro and in vivo,which may be a promising anticancer agent.

The Internet of Things(IoT)has witnessed a significant surge in adoption,particularly through the utilization of Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs),which comprise small internet-connected *** deployments span various environments and offer a multitude of ***,the widespread use of battery-powered devices introduces challenges due to their limited hardware resources and communication *** response to this,the Internet Engineering Task Force(IETF)has developed the IPv6 Routing Protocol for Low-power and Lossy Networks(RPL)to address the unique requirements of such *** the critical role of RPL in maintaining high performance,this paper proposes a novel approach to optimizing power ***,it introduces a developed sensor motes topology integrated with a Radio Duty Cycling(RDC)mechanism aimed at minimizing power *** rigorous analysis,the paper evaluates the power efficiency of this approach through several simulations conducted across different network topologies,including random,linear,tree,and elliptical ***,three distinct RDC mechanisms—CXMAC,ContikiMAC,and NullRDC—are investigated to assess their impact on power *** findings of the study,based on a comprehensive and deep analysis of the simulated results,highlight the efficiency of ContikiMAC in power *** research contributes valuable insights into enhancing the energy efficiency of RPL-based IoT networks,ultimately facilitating their widespread deployment and usability in diverse environments.

The RPL(IPv6 Routing Protocol for Low-Power and Lossy Networks)protocol is essential for efficient communi-cation within the Internet of Things(IoT)*** its significance,RPL’s susceptibility to attacks remains a *** paper presents a comprehensive simulation-based analysis of the RPL protocol’s vulnerability to the decreased rank attack in both static andmobilenetwork *** employ the Random Direction Mobility Model(RDM)for mobile scenarios within the Cooja *** systematic evaluation focuses on critical performance metrics,including Packet Delivery Ratio(PDR),Average End to End Delay(AE2ED),throughput,Expected Transmission Count(ETX),and Average Power Consumption(APC).Our findings illuminate the disruptive impact of this attack on the routing hierarchy,resulting in decreased PDR and throughput,increased AE2ED,ETX,and *** results underscore the urgent need for robust security measures to protect RPL-based IoT ***,our study emphasizes the exacerbated impact of the attack in mobile scenarios,highlighting the evolving security requirements of IoT networks.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the healthcare sector worldwide. In Morocco, several AI applications are being deployed in public and private healthcare establishments, improving appointment management, surgical operations, diagnostics, patient record tracking, biology and radiology, and OR organization. This article explores the main AI applications used in the Moroccan healthcare sector, their frequency of use, the types of establishments adopting them, as well as the main functionalities of each application and its contribution to the sector. The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of the main AI applications on quality of care and process efficiency in Moroccan healthcare facilities. This research focuses on several fundamental questions: Which AI applications are most frequently used? What types of establishments are adopting these technologies, and for which specific functionalities? What are the benefits and challenges of integrating AI into the Moroccan healthcare system, particularly in terms of territorial distribution and accessibility? The methodology is based on a quantitative analysis of data collected from selected healthcare establishments, combined with studies of reports from public health authorities and a sweep of their websites. The results show that 45% of hospitals use AI systems for appointment scheduling and 30% for medical diagnosis. The use of surgical robots, such as the Da Vinci system, increased by 30% between 2020 and 2024. Comparisons with other emerging countries highlight Morocco’s acceptable advances, while underlining the challenges, particularly in terms of the territorial distribution of these technological infrastructures generally centralized in the country’s major cities.

Influence of the Nature of the Incoming Sludge on the Performance of a Vertical Flow Reed Beds in Dakar-Senegal

This work investigates the influence of the type sludge on drainage, plant development, purification performances and biosolids quality. Drainage properties were measured through the frequency of clogging, the percentage of leachate recovered and the dryness of accumulated sludge. Plant development was measured through the density, the height and the stem diameter. Purification performance was evaluated from the reduction rate. Biosolids quality was measured after 3 months of maturation. The results show that the clogging frequencies were 9.5%;0% and 3.7%;the volume of leachate recovered was 42.2%;20.4% and 24.7% and, the dryness was 33.4%;61.1% and 52.4% for FS-ST, FS-STT and SS respectively. Plants densities were about, with densities 197.1, 171.3 and 178.3 plants/m2 in beds fed respectively with FS-ST, FS-STT and SS. Despite the high removal rates, the concentrations of pollutants in the leachates are above the Senegalese standard NS 05-061 for discharge into the environment. The biosolids are all mature with C/N and NH4+/NO3?ratios lower than 12 and 1 respectively. The biosolids are also rich in organic and mineral elements. The concentrations of Ascaris eggs are higher than the WHO recommendations. These biosolids should be stored for additional time or composted.

From Fostering to Delusional Disorder of Filiation

Introduction: Fostering is a widespread practice in West Africa. It played an essential role in the circulation of children. The failure of its community regulation, not compensated by a legal framework, has made its practice precarious. Observation: A case study was conducted on Dior, who was hospitalised in a psychiatric ward for a delusional disorder of filiation. Dior was entrusted to her maternal grandmother and aunt at ages 2 and 9. During these fosterings, the place of the symbolic father was not substituted, causing a void that challenged her imagination. The outcome was an inscription in a genealogy where she had found herself with prestigious parents. Discussion: Fostering has strongly disrupted the family dynamics in Dior’s case. One of her options was to assume the paternal function, the use of which was perceived as a defiance or even a transgression. This same function would be a starting point of a psychosis whose filial character would only be an attempt at rectification where reality and imagination collide. Conclusion: Our study reveals the importance of stable parental figures at stake in fostering contexts, which constitute a risk factor for the development of a subsequent psychosis.

Osteogenesis imperfecta is a hereditary disease characterized by bone fragility due to a defect in type I collagen synthesis. The diagnosis is typically suspected based on suggestive ultrasound findings and confirmed through genetic studies. We present a case of osteogenesis imperfecta suspected during obstetrical ultrasound at 19 weeks’ gestation, which was later confirmed radiographically through computed tomography. Due to the severity of the condition, therapeutic termination of pregnancy was indicated.

To the Editor,The hypocomplementemic urticarial vasculitis(HUV)is a subtype of urticarial *** diagnostics has become easier with the Schwartz criteria proposed in 1982.1,2 It has a large spectrum of *** report a case of a 43-year-old woman who was admitted to Hedi Chaker University Hospital to explore skin rash and lower limbs pitting *** had multiple recurrent urticarial rashes on the trunk and *** also had angioedema affecting the tongue and eyelids,regressing *** complained of asthenia,anorexia,and dyspnea on *** was evolving for 4 *** examination showed:fifth proximal interphalangeal arthritis,bilateral lower limb edema,and urticarial exanthema slightly pruritic leaving residual pigmentation on the trunk and *** suffered from impure nephrotic syndrome with microscopic hematuria and acute renal failure(creatinine clearance at 50 mL/min).The levels of C3,C4,and C1q complement fractions were markedly *** anti-C1q antibodies were positive(anti-C1q:99 U/mL,Cut-off titer:15 U/mL).
