Wearable gas sensors that are lightweight, portable, and inexpensive have great potential application in the real-time detection of human health and environmental monitoring. In this work, we fabricated flexible fiber gas sensors with single-walled carbon nanotube （SWCNT）, multi-walled carbon nanotube （MWCNT）, and ZnO quantum dot-decorated SWCNT （SWCNTs@ZnO） sensing elements. These flexible fiber gas sensors could be operated at room temperature to detect target gases with good sensitivity and recovery time. They also exhibited superior long-term stability, as well as good device mechanical bending ability and robustness. Integrating these flexible gas sensors into face masks, the fabricated wearable smart face masks could be used to selectively detect CaHsOH, HCHO, and NH3 by reading the corresponding LEDs with different colors. Such face masks have great potential application in the Internet of Things and wearable electronics.

本文利用三甲基氯硅烷与未焙烧MCM-48反应,实现对MCM-48的表面硅甲基接枝改性。结果表明:原未焙烧MCM-48孔道内的CTAB模板剂被脱除,三甲基氯硅烷与表面羟基反应,将硅甲基官能团接枝到MCM-48的内外表面。改性后MCM-48具有良好的长程有序结构,较窄的孔径分布,较大的孔体积和较高的比表面积,相对于未焙烧MCM-48,硅甲基接枝改性MCM-48的表面亲水性降低,亲油性得到提高。

This paper presents a new FRP retrofi tting scheme to strengthen local beam-column joints in reinforced concrete(RC) *** new retrofi tting scheme was proposed following a preliminary study of four different existing retrofi tting schemes.A numerical simulation was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of FRP-strengthened reinforced concrete frames by bridging behavior of local joints to the whole *** confi nement effects due to varying retrofi tting schemes in the joints were simulated in the frame *** seismic behavior factor was used to evaluate the seismic performance of the strengthened RC *** results demonstrated that the new proposed retrofi tting scheme was robust and promising,and fi nite element analysis appropriately captured the strength and global ductility of the frame due to upgrading of the local joints.

The localized and uniform corrosion resistances of bulk nanocrystalline 304 stainless steel（NC-304 SS）produced by severe rolling technique, and its conventional polycrystalline 304 stainless steel（CC-304 SS）counterpart, were investigated in high-concentration hydrochloric acid solutions at room ***-304 SS can scarcely suffer from localized corrosion in 4 mol/L and 5 mol/L HCl solutions during 5-day immersion tests, and in 1-3 mol/L HCl solutions during thirty-five-day immersion tests. The corrosion rate of NC-304 SS was also less than that of CC-304 SS during these immersion tests. The improved localized and uniform corrosion resistances of NC-304 SS were explained in terms of the adsorption and chemical activity of Cl;on NC-304 SS and CC-304 SS characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and the valence electron configurations of NC-304 SS and CC-304 SS were characterized by ultra-violet photoelectron spectroscopy rather than conventional electrochemical results.

Multidimensional modeling of the stenosed carotid artery: A novel CAD approach accompanied by an extensive lumped model

This study describes a multidimensional 3D/lumped parameter（LP） model which contains appropriate inflow/outflow boundary conditions in order to model the entire human arterial trees. A new extensive LP model of the entire arterial network（48 arteries） was developed including the effect of vessel diameter tapering and the parameterization of resistance, conductor and inductor variables. A computer aided-design（CAD） algorithm was proposed to effciently handle the coupling of two or more 3D models with the LP model, and substantially lessen the coupling processing time. Realistic boundary conditions and Navier-Stokes equations in healthy and stenosed models of carotid artery bifurcation（CAB） were used to investigate the unsteady Newtonian blood flow velocity distribution in the internal carotid artery（ICA）. The present simulation results agree well with previous experimental and numerical studies. The outcomes of a pure LP model and those of the coupled 3D healthy model were found to be nearly the same in both cases. Concerning the various analyzed 3D zones, the stenosis growth in the ICA was not found as a crucial factor in determining the absorbing boundary *** paper demonstrates the advantages of coupling local and systemic models to comprehend physiological diseases of the cardiovascular system.

Nano-particles of cadmium sulphide were deposited on cleaned copper substrate by an automated se- quential ionic layer adsorption reaction （SILAR） system. The grown nano-bulk junction exhibits Schottky diode behavior. The response of the nano-bulk junction was investigated under oxygen and hydrogen atmospheric condi- tions. The gas response ratio was found to be 198% for Oxygen and 34% for Hydrogen at room temperature. An increase in the operating temperature of the nano-bulk junction resulted in a decrease in their gas response ratio. A logarithmic dependence on the oxygen partial pressure to the junction response was observed, indicating a Temkin isothermal behavior. Work function measurements using a Kelvin probe demonstrate that the exposure to an oxy- gen atmosphere fails to effectively separate the charges due to the built-in electric field at the interface. Based on the benefits like simple structure, ease of fabrication and response ratio the studied device is a promising candidate for gas detection applications.

Stone column settlement performance in structured anisotropic clays:the influence of creep

The recently developed elasto-viscoplastic Creep-SCLAY1S model has been used in conjunction with PLAXIS 2D to investigate the effectiveness of vibro-replacement in a creep-prone clay. The Creep-SCLAY1S model accounts for anisotropy, bonding, and destructuration, and uses the concept of a constant rate of viscoplastic multiplier to calculate creep strain rate. A comparison of settlement improvement factors with and without creep indicates that ‘total’ settlement improvement factors （primary plus creep） are lower than their ‘primary’ counterparts （primary settlement only）. The lowest settlement improvement factors arise for analyses incorporating the effect of bonding and destructuration. Examination of the variations of vertical stress with time and depth has indicated that vertical stress is transferred from the soil to the column as the soil creeps. This results in additional column yielding. In addition, the radial and hoop stresses in the soil are lower for the ‘creep’ case. The reduced radial stresses lead to additional column bulging and hence more settlement, whereas the hoop stress reductions appear to be a secondary effect, caused by additional plastic deformation for the ‘creep’ case.

Developing efficient,stable and economical electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is a significant pathway to produce clean energy from water ***,the promising and highly efficient porous CoCrFeNiMo high entropy alloys(HEAs)were prepared by microwave sintering using Mg space *** to unique properties of high entropy alloys and abundant active surface area,the porous CoCrFeNiMo-20 Mg exhibits excellent catalytic performance and prominent electrochemical stability with a low overpotential of 220 mV to reach current density of 10 mA cm^(-2),a small Tafel slope of 59.0 mV dec^(-1) and long-term durability for 24 h in 1.0 M *** results of microstructure and element states indicate that crystal defects,porous structure and villous hydroxides are the reasons for high OER performance of the *** work not only provides a new way to prepare electrocatalysts,but also proves the important application of high entropy alloys in functional materials.
