The onset of the Ebola outbreak in 2014 originated in Guinea and proceeded to swiftly reach Sierra Leone and Liberia(1).Unfortunately,these nations were critically deficient in their capacity for pathogenic testing and diagnostics,the availability of healthcare workers,and their supply of epidemic prevention materials,thereby impeding their ability to address the outbreak efficiently(2).This grave scenario underscored the need for support from the worldwide community.

随着工业化、城市化和农业的快速发展,各种金属的滥用和排放导致河流生态系统受到污染。人类通过饮水和食物摄入等途径长期积累重金属,即使是低浓度的重金属也有可能对人体健康有害,可能会对人类健康和生态环境造成严重的危害。本研究分析六种最常见鱼类肌肉中(白鲢、草鱼、粗鳞鳊、青鱼、黑鲫、黄颡鱼)有毒金属(铅、镉)和微量金属(锌、铝、钴、锰、铬、铜)的含量,以及基于八种金属(铅、镉、锌、铝、钴、锰、铬、铜)含量数据,利用金属污染风险评价方法确定镇江市某段长江水体的溶解金属和总金属含量。通过健康指数估算了人类食用长江资源(鱼类和水)相关的非致癌和致癌健康风险。并且,基于理化特性的水质指数模型、WHO和中国地表水水质标准对人类使用的水质进行评估,利用单因素污染指数(Pi)和多因素污染指数(NPI)来估算镇江市某段长江水体中的金属污染程度。论文主要工作如下:研究选取镇江市某段长江水体为研究区域,对水样进行物理性能测试,结果表明,所测试水样中重金属含量均在WHO范围内。此外,对于鱼类样品进行重金属含量检测,在所测定的鱼类中记录的最高金属含量(湿重)分别为:黑鲫中锌平均含量最高为9.87μg/g,黄颡鱼的锰含量为7.97 μg/g、镍的含量为Ni 0.16 μg/g,青鱼中Cu含量为2.07μg/g,白鲢中铅的含量为1.04 μg/g和铬含量为0.63 μg/g,粗鳞鳊中镉的含量为0.19μg/g。对儿童和成人接触分析后的金属所估计出的非致癌和致癌风险的健康指数表明,由皮肤和口服接触长江水中的金属可能会给人类带来致癌风险。对于铅和镉的危险熵值,其中儿童的分别为1.27和1.54,成人的分别为1.09和1.32,结果都大于1。而食用鱼类时金属元素(铅、镉、锌、铝、锰、铬、铜)的平均目标危害熵值(THQ)通常小于1,这表明成人摄入食用这类鱼可能不会受致癌健康风险影响。此外,将目标癌症风险值与准则值(1×10-4至1×10-6)进行比较,可以推断出人类食用长江鱼类可能不会对人类造成致癌威胁。通过估算儿童和成人口服溶解的铅的癌症风险分别为2.30×10-2和3.57×10-6,表明儿童口服暴露于溶解的铅有显着的致癌症效应。通过主成分分析,表明某段长江水体中的重金属污染主要可能源于人为活动,可能影响水和水生物环境的质量,因此需要适当的监测和管理。

Efficacy of 2LPAPI^®, a Micro-Immunotherapy Drug, in Patients with High-Risk Papillomavirus Genital Infection

Human papillomaviruses (HPVs) are well known for being linked to the development of cervical cancers, most of them being caused by the high-risk (HR) oncogenic genotypes, mainly 16 and 18. The efficacy of 2LPAPI® (Labo’Life), a micro-immunotherapy homeopathic drug, has been evaluated in HR-HPV infected women (n = 18), in a private gynecology practice, by comparing them to an untreated control group (n = 18). Patients were 20 to 45 years old and had cytology with Atypical Squamous Cells of Undetermined Significance (ASCUS) or Low grade Superficial Intra Lesions/ Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia Grade I (LSIL/CINI). Patients freely chose to be treated with the drug or not. Those deciding not to take the drug remained untreated and were followed as a control group. The drug was taken at the regimen of one capsule per day during 6 months. HR-HPV and cytology were evaluated at 6 and 12 months. After 12 months, HR-HPV was cleared in 78% of the patients taking the drug versus 44% in those not taking it (p = 0.086). In patients over 25 years, HR-HPV clearance in the treated group was significantly higher (81.3%) than in the control group (20%) (p = 0.004). The difference in the regression of the lesion grades almost reached statistical significance (p = 0.053). This follow-up confirms that the micro-immunotherapy drug 2LPAPI® is a safe and effective therapeutic approach to treat HR-HPV cervical lesions in women over 25 years.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of one capsule of the micro-immunotherapy medicine (MIM) 2LMISEN®compared to vehicle, in a neuronal aging model. Senescence and apoptosis of hippocampal neurons were evaluated by measuring p16INK4a and caspase 3 levels, respectively. The data presented is a single observation. Mice hippocampal neuron cultures were treated with MIM (11 mM) or vehicle (11 mM) from 22 days in vitro (DIV) until 27 DIV. After incubation, hippocampal neuron cultures were fixed at 15 (control condition), 22, 25 and 27 DIV and then incubated with primary antibodies p16INK4a, MAP2 and Caspase 3. Quantification of p16INK4a and Caspase 3-positive neurons was done using Developer software. We found that vehicle had no effect on p16INK4a expression, whereas MIM was able to decrease p16INK4a levels at 22, 25 and 27 DIV in a statistically significant manner. The MIM had no significative effect on Caspase 3 expression. Our preliminary results showed that the MIM capsule significantly reduced neuronal senescence and not apoptosis.

Acquisition of Knowledge and Skills about Delivery by Self-Evaluation of Midwifery Students Using the Labor and Delivery Assistance Evaluation Sheets

Aim: This study aims to clarify the current state of advancement of knowledge and skills in the educational process from self-assessments by midwifery student labor and delivery assistance evaluation sheets. Method: Metrology is an observational and retrospective study. Self-assessments in labor and delivery assistance evaluation sheets of midwifery students registered in an advanced midwifery course at Nursing College A from Apr. 2017 to Mar. 2018 were analyzed retrospectively. The end-points were every score of six classifications: health checkups and assessments of women who give birth, preparations for labor and delivery assistance, delivery assistance in the parturient second stage, delivery assistance in the parturient third and fourth stages, midwifery process, and the training manner. Moreover, they also included the scores of 64 evaluation items belonging to any of the six classifications and a comprehensive evaluation score in which students judged the acquisition of all knowledge and skills of delivery assistance. In addition, although not on the evaluation sheet, the average score of all 64 evaluation items was also included. The evaluation criteria were five levels, from one to five. The end-points were examined by comparing the experiences of delivery assistances in two periods of Results: 80 among 91 evaluation sheets from eight out of nine students were analyzed. The average score of all 64 evaluation items, every score of the six classifications, and the comprehensive evaluation score was significantly elevated in the experience periods of 6 ≤ times (P Conclusion: Training in adaptation and enforcement of amniotomy and assistance skills for lacerations sutures will be needed in future educational challenges. Self-assessment scores by midwifery students in labor and delivery assistance evaluation sheets were significantly elevated in the experience periods of 6 ≤ times.

Portal vein thrombosis(PVT) is encountered in livercirrhosis, particularly in advanced disease. It has been a feared complication of cirrhosis, attributed to significant worsening of liver disease, poorer clinical outcomes and potential inoperability at liver transplantation; also catastrophic events such as acute intestinal ischaemia. Optimal management of PVT has not yet been addressed in any consensus *** review current literature on PVT in cirrhosis; its prevalence, pathophysiology, diagnosis, impact on the natural history of cirrhosis and liver transplantation,and management. Studies were identified by a search strategy using MEDLINE and Google Scholar. The incidence of PVT increases with increasing severity of liver disease: less than 1% in well-compensated cirrhosis, 7.4%-16% in advanced cirrhosis. Prevalence in patients undergoing liver transplantation is 5%-16%.PVT frequently regresses instead of uniform thrombus progression. PVT is not associated with increased risk of mortality. Optimal management has not been addressed in any consensus publication. We propose areas for future research to address unresolved clinical questions.

Microorganisms are key actors in soil ***,their activity is influenced by various factors including agricultural *** study aimed to assess the effects of 4 agroecological practices on soil microbiological activity in the Sudano-Sahelian area of burkina *** practices involved(a)the use of organic matter(OM)spread over a plot,with and without micro-dose mineral fertilization and(b)the localized application of organic manure in planting pits dug into hard pan land(zaï),with and without cereal-legume *** biomass(Mb)by fumigation-extraction and soil respiration by incubation-extraction were measured on 40 soil samples,taken at 0-10 cm *** results indicated higher cumulative values of carbon from respiration on plots with generalized application of OM,with and without mineral fertilizers(113 and 111 mg C-CO_(2)/kg soil respectively),than on plots with localized application,with and without cereal-legume rotation(72.9 and 98 mg C-CO_(2)/kg soil respectively).Mb follows the same trend as soil respiration with lower values(21.9 to 50.9 mg C/kg soil respectively).Generalized application of OM with or without mineral fertilizers was more favorable to soil microbial activity.

Dihydroflavonol 4-reductase (DFR), a member of the short-chain dehydrogenase family, catalyzes the last common step in the biosynthesis of flavan-3-ols and condensed tannins. Initial rates of DFR were measured by monitoring the 340-nm absorbance decrease resulting from the joint consumption of dihydroquercetin (DHQ) and NADPH, as a function of pH, temperature and ionic strength. At pH 6.5 and 30o C, substrate inhibition was observed above 30 μM DHQ. At lower/non-inhibitory DHQ concentrations, NADP+ behaves as a competitive inhibitor with respect to NADPH and as a mixed inhibitor with respect to DHQ, which supports a sequential ordered mechanism, with NADPH binding first and NADP+ released last. binding-equilib-rium data obtained by means of the chromatographic method of Hummel and Dreyer at pH 7.5 and by isothermal calorimetric titration at pH 6.5 led to the conclusion that ligands of the apoenzyme included NADPH, NADP+ and DHQ. The mechanism which best accounts for substrate inhibition at pH 6.5 in the absence of product involves the formation of a binary non-productive *** complex. Thus, a productive ternary complex cannot be formed when DHQ binds first. This mechanism of inhibition may prevent the accumulation of unstable leucoanthocyanidins within cells.
