Security and safety remain paramount concerns for both governments and individuals *** today’s context,the frequency of crimes and terrorist attacks is alarmingly increasing,becoming increasingly intolerable to ***,there is a pressing need for swift identification of potential threats to preemptively alert law enforcement and security forces,thereby preventing potential attacks or violent *** advancements in big data analytics and deep learning have significantly enhanced the capabilities of computer vision in object detection,particularly in identifying *** paper introduces a novel automatic firearm detection surveillance system,utilizing a one-stage detection approach named MARIE(Mechanism for Realtime Identification of Firearms).MARIE incorporates the Single Shot Multibox Detector(SSD)model,which has been specifically optimized to balance the speed-accuracy trade-off critical in firearm detection *** SSD model was further refined by integrating MobileNetV2 and InceptionV2 architectures for superior feature extraction *** experimental results demonstrate that this modified SSD configuration provides highly satisfactory performance,surpassing existing methods trained on the same dataset in terms of the critical speedaccuracy *** these innovations,MARIE sets a new standard in surveillance technology,offering a robust solution to enhance public safety effectively.

Forward osmosis(FO), as an emerging technology, is influenced by different factors such as operating conditions,module characteristics, and membrane properties. The general aim of this study was to develop a suitable(flexible,comprehensive, and convenient to use) computational tool which is able to simulate osmosis through an asymmetric membrane oriented in pressure retarded osmosis(PRO) mode in a wide variety of scenarios. For this purpose, an agent-based model was created in NetLogo platform, which is an easy-to-use application environment with graphical visualization abilities and well suited for modeling a complex system evolving over time. The simulation results were validated with empirical data obtained from literature and a great agreement was observed. The effect of various parameters on process performance was investigated in terms of temperature,cross-flow velocity, length of the module, pure water permeability coefficient, and structural parameter of the membrane. Results demonstrated that the increase in all parameters, except structural parameter of the membrane and the length of module led to the increase of average water flux. Moreover, nine different draw solutes were selected in order to assess the influence of net bulk osmotic pressure difference between the draw solution(DS) and feed solution(FS)(known as the driving force of FO process) on water flux. Based on the findings of this paper, the performance of FO process(PRO mode) can be efficiently evaluated using the NetL ogo platform.

Semi-hot Stamping as an Improved Process of Hot Stamping

Reducing the forming load, deletion of springback, increasing the formability of sheets as well as producing high strength parts are the main reasons to apply hot stamping process. Hot stamping process and 22MnB5 steels are the state of the art process and grades, respectively; however novel processes and steel grades are under considerations. In the current research, behavior of the steel grade MSW1200 blanks under semi and fully hot stamping processes was characterized. During semi-hot stamping process, the blank was firstly heated to a temperature of about 650℃ and then formed and quenched in the die assembly, simultaneously. Microstructure and mechanical properties of semi and fully hot stamped blanks were studied and the results were compared with those of normally water/air quenched blanks. The hot stamped blanks attained the strength values as high as water quenched blanks. The highest ductility and consequently, the best formability were achieved for the blank which had been semi-hot stamped. It was concluded that for the mentioned steel, semi-hot stamping process could be considered as an improved thermo-mechanical process which not only guaranteed a high formability, but also led to ultra high strength values.

Heterogeneous community entails a number of social groups that adopt similar/different social *** such community,new individuals who join a new social group should be able to decide with which group they could assimilate based on their capabilities/values/***,they would be penalized by other members in the group for violating some norms which they cannot *** this approach,software agents would have better reasoning in simulating human *** this paper,the authors propose a norms assimilation theory,in which a new agent attempts to assimilate with a social group’s *** theory builds an approach to norm assimilation,analyzes the cases for an agent to decide to assimilate with a social group and develops a mathematical model to measure the assimilation cost and the agent’s *** approach is developed based on the agent’s internal belief about its ability and desire,and its external belief about the cost of assimilating with a number of social *** significance of this research is ***,the study paves the way to future design of intelligent systems,i.e.,software agents or robots,to closely mimic human social ***,the norm assimilation using agent-based system could be potentially utilized to simulate some social issues such as immigrants,new students,expatriate *** experiments that have been conducted demonstrate that an agent in the domain is able to calculate the assimilation cost and decide which social group to join.

Computer vision is one of the significant trends in computer *** plays as a vital role in many applications,especially in the medical *** detection and segmentation of different tumors is a big challenge in the medical *** proposed framework uses ultrasound images from Kaggle,applying five diverse models to denoise the images,using the best possible noise-free image as input to the U-Net model for segmentation of the tumor,and then using the Convolution Neural Network(CNN)model to classify whether the tumor is benign,malignant,or *** main challenge faced by the framework in the segmentation is the speckle ***’s is a multiplicative and negative issue in breast ultrasound imaging,because of this noise,the image resolution and contrast become reduced,which affects the diagnostic value of this imaging *** result,speckle noise reduction is very vital for the segmentation *** framework uses five models such as Generative Adversarial Denoising Network(DGAN-Net),Denoising U-Shaped Net(D-U-NET),Batch Renormalization U-Net(Br-UNET),Generative Adversarial Network(GAN),and Nonlocal Neutrosophic ofWiener Filtering(NLNWF)for reducing the speckle noise from the breast ultrasound images then choose the best image according to peak signal to noise ratio(PSNR)for each level of *** five used methods have been compared with classical filters such as Bilateral,Frost,Kuan,and Lee and they proved their efficiency according to PSNR in different levels of *** five diverse models are achieved PSNR results for speckle noise at level(0.1,0.25,0.5,0.75),(33.354,29.415,27.218,24.115),(31.424,28.353,27.246,24.244),(32.243,28.42,27.744,24.893),(31.234,28.212,26.983,23.234)and(33.013,29.491,28.556,25.011)forDGAN,Br-U-NET,D-U-NET,GANand NLNWF *** to the value of PSNR and level of speckle noise,the best image passed for segmentation using U-Net and classification usingCNNto detect tumor *** experiments proved

We present the physical parameters of three short period close binaries using data observed from the Kepler Space Telescope. All of these observations were taken in a single bandpass(which approximates the Johnson V-band). Our three systems are KIC 2715417, KIC 6050116 and KIC 6287172. The first system, KIC 2715417, is considered a semi-detached system with the secondary component filling its Roche lobe. The second system, KIC 6050116, is an overcontact system, while the third system, KIC 6287172, belongs to ellipsoidal variables as deduced from the Roche lobe geometry. For photometric analysis, we used the PHOEBE software package, which is based on the Wilson-Devinney code. Due to lack of spectroscopic data, the photometric mass ratios are determined from the analyses of light curves using the q-search method. The absolute parameters are determined using three different methods(Harmanec, Maceroni &Van'tVeer and Gazeas & Niarchos).

Western Desert represents a major oil and gas province in Egypt producing more than 50%of the country’s oil *** and gas blend occurs in most producing fields,however,the genetic link between gas and liquid hydrocarbon phases are not *** sub-basin in the Western Desert where oil and gas phases coexist in the Middle Jurassic sandstones of the Khatatba Formation provides an ideal place to investigate the link between oil and gas *** analyses on rock samples(Rock–Eval pyrolysis,vitrinite reflectance,R_(o))and gases(molecular and isotopic composition)were conducted in order to identify the genetic characteristics of the hydrocarbon phases ***-relevant parameters(Rock–Eval T_(max),vitrinite reflectance R_(o))elucidate that only Middle Jurassic Khatatba organofacies capable of generating wet and dry hydrocarbon ***,the enrichment of C_(7)normal alkanes,mono-branched alkanes relative to polybranched components in the Obayied gases reflect their generation via cracking of *** modelling results confirm gas generation through both primary and secondary ***,secondary cracking of liquid hydrocarbon phases is volumetrically more *** cracking of the Khatatba organofacies likely predate and catalyze the secondary cracking of the liquid phases and therefore the volume of generated gas increases incrementally eastward where both processes *** present study highlights the significant role of secondary cracking in the generation and accumulation of huge gas accumulations in the basins containing oil-prone source intervals.
