Fe_(3)O_(4)-carbon spheres core–shell supported palladium nanoparticles:A robust and recyclable catalyst for suzuki coupling reaction

suzuki-Miyaura(s-M)is regarded the most powerful way for synthesis biaryls,triaryls,or incorporating of substituted aryl moieties in organic preparation by the cross-coupling of aryl boronic acid with aryl halides using the Pd *** work reports the combining of the hydrothermal and microwaveassisted protocol to convert the glucose to magnetic carbon spheres(Fe_(3)O_(4)-CsPs)decorated with Pd nanoparticles(NPs)as the catalyst for suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling *** physicochemical properties in the produced composite were examined using FEsEM,HRTEM,nitrogen isotherms,Raman spectroscopy,FTIR,XPs,and *** as-fabricated composite Pd/Fe_(3)O_(4)-CsPs is mostly spherical with a core–shell structure and possesses a great surface area of 253.2 m^(2).g^(-1).Its catalytic performance demonstrates that the composite has excellent stability and high tolerance suzuki-Miyaura crosscoupling reactions in 30 min at 80℃.Both activated and deactivated aryl halides provided excellent *** as-fabricated catalyst was recycled for up to four catalytic cycles without a substantial decline in ***,this research offers a facile roadmap for synthesizing Pd/Fe_(3)O_(4)-CsPs composites and promoting the practical implementation of Pd/Fe_(3)O_(4)-CsPs catalysts for organic transformation processes.

The process of constructing hydraulic projects on international rivers is governed by several legal regulations, among the most important of these regulations are： the Principle of no harm, and the Principle of Prior Notification, protection of the river＇s environment and the Principle of settling the International Disputes via Peaceful Means, which is considered one of the most important principles called for by the UN Pact, as it provides for adopting the peaceful means by the member states of the organization to settle international disputes through peaceful means, in addition to an applied study on the Nile Basin＇s projects.

Anatomical and Histopathologic Analysis of Placenta in Dilation and Evacuation specimens

Background: Anatomical and histopathologic examination of placenta in cases of abortion is crucial as to clarify the underlying causes of many adverse pregnancy outcomes. Dilation and evacuation (D&E) is the most common mode of uterine evacuation that commonly examined in pathology sections. The aim of this study is to discuss the various placental pathologies, and to demonstrate the importance of careful pathologic examination of D&E material, also to review the anatomy of placenta and to compare our findings with other publications worldwide. Material and Methods: A retrospective descriptive study for 200 placental tissues was collected in 18 months period and revised for normal anatomy and various placental pathologies. These placentas were obtained by dilation and evacuation (D&E) technique. All cases were undergone for histopathological sections that were stained by Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E). Results: Placental infarction was observed in 25% of cases, and chorioammnitis was the most common form of placental infection and found in 12.5%. Molar changes were represented a lowered percentage of placental pathologies that found in 9% of specimens. Conclusion: study and recognition of placental lesions among general surgical pathologists have clinical significance and awareness of deficiency, standardization of diagnostic criteria, and increased knowledge in placental pathology improve the quality of diagnosis in this area.

Purpose: To evaluate the correlations between office- hour intraocular pressures (IOP) and peak nocturnal IOP in healthy and glaucomatous eyes. Design: Retrospective review of laboratory records. Methods: We reviewed 24- hour data of IOP collected from 33 younger healthy subjects (aged 18 to 25 years), 35 older healthy subjects (aged40 to 74 years), and 35 untreated older glaucoma patients (aged40 to 79 years) housed in a sleep laboratory. Measurements of IOP were taken every 2 hours using a pneumatonometer in the sitting and supine positions during the diurnal/wake period (7 am to 11 pm) and in the supine position during the nocturnal/sleep period. Correlations between average sitting or supine IOP in the right eye between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm (office hours) and peak right eye IOP during the nocturnal hours were analyzed. Results: The average values of supine IOP during office hours were found to have the strongest correlation with peak nocturnal IOP in older glaucoma subjects (r=.713, P s the correlation was less in older healthy subjects (r =.523, Ps absent in younger healthy subjects (r=.224, P=.21). The correlation between average sitting IOP values during office hours and peak nocturnal IOP was also strong in older glaucoma subjects (r=.601, Psubjects (r=.412, Psent in younger healthy subjects (r=- .077, P=.672). Conclusion: Using a modification of the diurnal IOP curve, the magnitude of peak nocturnal IOP in untreated glaucoma patients can be estimated during routine office visits. supine IOP measurements estimate peak nocturnal IOP better than sitting measurements. This estimation may provide the clinician with valuable information regarding the nocturnal IOP peak in glaucoma patients.

Purpose: To report the use of argon laser peripheral iridoplasty in the treatment of plateau- like iris configuration as a result of iris and ciliary body cysts. Design: Case report. Methods: A43- year- old male with plateau iris syndrome was demonstrated by high frequency ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM), to have numerous iris and ciliary body cysts. Bilateral argon laser peripheral iridoplasty was performed. Results: Argon laser iridoplasty opened the drainage angle in both eyes. Conclusion: Argon laser iridoplasty is an effective and safe treatment for plateau iris syndrome and may also prove valuable in the treatment of plateau- like iris configuration resulting from iridociliary cysts.
