Background:The European Society for Medical Oncology(ESMO)guidelines are among the most comprehensive and widely used clinical practice guidelines(CPGs)***,the level of scientific evidence supporting ESMO CPG recommendations has not been systematically *** study assessed ESMO CPG levels of evidence(LOE)and grades of recommendations(GOR),as well as their trends over time across various cancer ***:We manually extracted every recommendation with the infectious Diseases Society of America(iDSA)classification from each *** examined the distribution of LOE and GOR in all available ESMO CPG guidelines across different topics and cancer ***:Among the 1,823 recommendations in the current CPG,30%were classified as LOEⅠ,and 43%were classified as GOR ***,there was a slight decrease in LOEⅠ(−2%)and an increase in the proportion of GOR A(+1%)in the current CPG compared to previous *** proportion of GOR A recommendations based on higher levels of evidence such as randomized trials(LOEⅠ–Ⅱ)shows a decrease(71%vs.63%,p=0.009)while recommendations based on lower levels of evidence(LOEⅢ–Ⅴ)show an increase(29%vs.37%,p=0.01)between previous and current *** the current versions,the highest proportion of LOEⅠ(42%)was found in recommendations related to pharmacotherapy,while the highest proportion of GOR A recommendations was found in the areas of pathology(50%)and diagnostic(50%)*** variability in LOEⅠand GOR A recommendations and their changes over time was observed across different cancer ***:One-third of the current ESMO CPG recommendations are supported by the highest level of *** well-designed randomized clinical trials are needed to increase the proportion of LOEⅠand GOR A recommendations,ultimately leading to improved outcomes for cancer patients.

inland fishing predominates in the Kedougou region, which has no coastline. This type of fishing does not yet meet the local population’s demand for fish products. in response to this concern, a Community Agricultural Estate housing an integrated fish farm was set up in the commune of Bandafassi, in the village of itato. Since its creation, this production unit has been faced with the problem of sourcing high-quality, low-cost, monosex male Oreochromis niloticus fry. in order to overcome this constraint, the present research focuses on the contribution of Garcinia kola to the productivity and economic profitability of the itato farm. The aim of the research is to assess fish production in the experimental set-up and the production costs of tilapia in a controlled environment. The comparative study of the various production factors shows disparities only in the input factor, where scenarios 2 and 3 use additional products. These are 17-α-methytestosterone for scenario 2 and Garcinia kola for scenario 3. These products significantly interfere with fish production, with a fairly high mortality rate for scenario 2 (25% for two production cycles/ cohort2 (B5, B6, B7 and B8) treated with 17-α-methytestosterone). As for scenarios 1 and 3, mortalities are 5% with or without recourse to additional products (G. kola). in addition, average fish production for the three (03) scenarios is estimated at 28687.5 kg/2 cycles. it varies from one scenario to another, i.e. 30937.5 kg/2 cycles for scenarios 1 and 3 and 24187.5 kg/2 cycles for scenario 2. it is therefore higher in scenarios 1 and 3 than in scenario 2. This difference is due to the fairly large losses of individuals in scenario 2. Furthermore, the analysis of the profit and loss accounts for tilapia production varies from one scenario to another depending on the type of farm: 476 Franc CFA for scenario 1, 610 Franc CFA for scenario 2 and 472 Franc CFA for scenario 3 (F CFA = franc of the French Colonies of Africa). Recovery of carbon monoxide from flue gases by reactive absorption in ionic liquid imidazolium chlorocuprate(i): Mass transfer coefficients

Recovery of carbon monoxide from flue gases by selective absorption of carbon monoxide in an imidazolium chlorocuprate（l） ionic liquid is considered in this work as an alternative to the use of molecular volatile solvents such as aromatic hydrocarbons. The present work evaluates the CO mass transfer rates from the gas phase to the ionic liquid solutions in the absence of chemical reaction. To that end, carbon dioxide was employed as an inert model gas and absorption experiments were performed to assess the influence of different process variables in a batch reactor with fiat gas-liquid interface. The experimental mass transfer coefficients showed significant var- iation with temperature, （3.4-10.9） × 10^-7 m·s^-1 between 293 and 313 K; stirring speed, （10.2- 33.1）× 10^-7 m.s 1 between 100 and 300 r·min^-1; and concentration of copper（1）, （6.6-10.2） × 10^-7 m·s^-1 between 0.25 and 2 mol· L^- 1. in addition, the mass transfer coefficients were eventually found to follow a poten- tial proportionality of the type kL ∝μ^-0.5 and the dimensionless correlation that makes the estimation of the mass transfer coefficients possible in the studied range of process variables was obtained： Sh=10^-2.64 Re^1.07 , Sc^0.75,These results constitute the first step in the kinetic analysis of the reaction between CO and imidazolium chlorocuprate（i） ionic liquid that determines the design of the separation units.

Natural killer(NK)cell-mediated antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity(ADCC)through CD16 plays a critical role in antihuman immunodeficiency virus(HiV)responses.1–3 CD300a is a surface receptor highly expressed on NK cells that has the capacity to inhibit NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity in healthy donors.4 The CD300a molecule has been related to several viral infections and is able to diminish the NK cell killing of pseudorabies-infected cells through interactions with its ligands phosphatidylserine and phosphatidylethanolamine.5 in addition,CD300a expression on B and CD4+T lymphocytes is altered during HiV-1 infection,and combined antiretroviral therapy(cART)does not restore nonpathological expression levels.5,6 However,the expression and function of CD300a on NK cells during HiV-1 infection is still *** have determined the surface expression of CD300a on different NK cell subsets and the capacity of this receptor to inhibit CD16-induced NK cell effector functions in healthy and HiV-1 infected individuals.

Evolution of Graves’s Disease: impact of Socio-Demographic and Clinical Factors in Senegalese Subject

Background: in Graves’s disease, there is a lack of description specific to the gender and age among sub-Saharan African subject. The objective was to evaluate the impact of gender and age on the profile of Graves’ disease in Senegalese subject in order to understand the evolution and improve the therapeutic choices. Methods: This is a retrospective study conducted from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2017 (07 years) at Abass Ndao University Hospital (Senegal), focused on patients with Graves’ disease followed up under antithyroid drugs treatment for at least 18 months. Results: There were 244 men, 404 subjects between [0 - 25 years], and 101 subjects more than 50 years old. Factors associated with goitre size were male gender (p itopathy was correlated with male gender (p = 0.015), and young age (p ients who had stopped medical treatment after more than 18 months of follow-up, relapse involved in 30.3%. Durable remission was achieved in 38.8% of all included patients and 69.7% of subjects who had a cessation of medical treatment. The factors associated with sustained remission were female gender (p = 0.049), absence of orbitopathy (p = 0.011), small goiter (p intenance treatment (p = 0.006). Conclusion: in our Senegalese study, men and young patients are particularized by a trend of voluminous goitre and low rate of remission. These data remain a basis for predicting the outcome of medical treatment and make timely use of radical treatments such as surgery or irratherapy in the presence of risk factors for recurrence.

introduction: Cervicofacial cellulitis is a medical and surgical emergency, it is an extensive infection of the aponeurotic spaces of the face and neck. Although frequent in black Africa rather than in developed countries, they remain associated with a poor prognosis and few studies have been done on this subject. Their management must be early, probabilistic and then adapted to the bacteriological results of the pus taken. As Senegal is one of the many sub-Saharan African countries without recent data on cervicofacial cellulitis, we felt it was important to review the situation. The aim of our study was to describe the epidemiological and clinical aspects of cervicofacial cellulitis in the ENT department of Lamine Sine DiOP of the Fann National University Hospital of Dakar. Materials and Method: This was a retrospective study conducted over 5 years from January 2017 to December 2021 in the ENT-CCF LAMiNE SiNE DiOP Department of the CHNU FANN in Dakar. Our data sources were hospitalization registers and medical records of patients hospitalized for cervicofacial cellulitis. Our data were analyzed using the spss 12 for windows software. Results: During this 5-year period, we collected 297 cases of cervicofacial cellulitis, i.e. 19% of the hospitalizations. The average age was 35 years with a sex ratio of 2.23. The notion of taking NSAiDs was found in 90.57% of the cases, the immunocompromised background was present in 18 patients, i.e. 6.06% of the cases. The site of the swelling was sub-mento-maxillary in 49% of the cases and anterior cervical in 5% of cases. The portal of entry was dental in 189 patients, i.e. 64% of cases, and unknown in 3%. 4 deaths were recorded, i.e. 1.35% of patients hospitalized for cervicofacial cellulitis, and 1 case of mediastinitis with polyseritis was transferred to the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, which had a favourable outcome. Conclusion: Cervicofacial cellulitis is a fairly common infection with a poor prognosis

Recent work showed that infants recognize and store function words starting from the age of 6–8 months. Using a visual fixation procedure, the present study tested whether French-learning 14-month-olds have the knowledge of syntactic categories of determiners and pronouns, respectively, and whether they can use these function words for categorizing novel words to nouns and verbs. The prosodic characteristics of novel words stimuli for noun versus verb uses were balanced. The only distinguishing cue was the preceding determiners versus subject pronouns, the former being the most common for nouns and the latter the most common for verbs, i.e., Det + Noun, Pron + Verb. We expected that noun categorization may be easier than verb categorization because the co-occurrence of determiners with nouns is more consistent than that of subject pronouns with verbs in French. The results showed that infants grouped the individual determiners as one common class, and that they appeared to use the determiners to categorize novel words into ***, we found no evidence of verb categorization. Unlike determiners,pronouns were not perceived as a common syntactic class.

Graves’ Disease in Senegal: Clinical and Evolutionary Aspects

Objectives: To assess the clinical particularities and management of Graves’ disease at the Medical Clinic ii of the Abass Ndao Hospital Centre in Dakar. Patients and methods: This was a retrospective, descriptive study on records of patients monitored for Graves' disease from 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2014 (5 years). Socio-demographic, clinical treatment and changing parameters were evaluated. Outcomes: 878 patients were included and among them 542 had been monitored for at least 18 months. The sex ratio (M/F) was 0.2 and the average age was 34.8 ± 12 years. The average consultation period was 10.7 ± 2 months. Free T4 at diagnosis was > 80 pmol/l (36.6%). Prolonged medical treatment was reported in 96.7% of patients. The average dose for initial therapy with Carbimazole was 37 ± 9 mg/day. Beta-blockers were used in 64% and anxiolytics in 40.5% of cases. The average period for administering the maintenance dose was 5.6 months. Patients’ attendance and compliance stood at 17.7% and 53.1% respectively. Complications, mainly cardiothyreosis, were found in 13% of cases. Goitre regression was found in 13.9% of cases and that of exophthalmos stood at 19.5%. Among our patients, 38.2% were lost to follow-up. The remission rate was 36.5% and thyroidectomy involved 14.5% of patients. Only stage of goiter (p = 0.007) and initial free T4 value (p = 0.003) were statistically associated with remission. Conclusion: Graves’ disease management raises follow-up problems. indeed, the medical treatment is long while the number of patients lost to follow-up is high. As the only radical alternative available is surgery, it is therefore essential to promote the development of radioactive iodine therapy to expand the therapeutic choice.

To rehabilitate salty lands, one of the recommended strategies is the use of salt-tolerant plants. Among them, plants of i>i>Casuarinaceaei>i> family form a relationship with symbiotic microorganisms such as arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and nitrogen fixing bacteria. It has been shown that symbiotic microorganisms play an important role in the establishment of tolerant plants in saline conditions (Djighaly i>i>et ali>i>., 2018). They improve plant performance and reduce transplant shock under salt stress conditions (Diagne i>i>et ali>i>., 2014). These microorganisms can be used as biofertilizers. However, inocula containing symbiotic microorganisms are either too expensive or unavailable in many developing countries. The aim of this study is to test alternatively affordable and low-tech solutions to promote symbiotic interactions such as Casuarina crushed nodule, Casuarina rhizosphere soil and Casuarina leaves compost that may contain symbiotic microorganisms and also nutrients such as N and phosphorus. The Prevalence of Female Genital Bilharziasis (FGB) in the Northern Region of Senegal

introduction: Female Genital Bilharzia (FGB) is a pathology secondary to infection by Schistosoma haematobium. it is one of the neglected tropical diseases, capable of causing infertility, difficulties in childbirth and even cervical cancer. it represents a real public health problem. We therefore conducted a study in the maternity ward of the Saint-Louis regional hospital, with the overall aim of determining the prevalence of FBG in patients undergoing colposcopy. The specific objectives were to define the patient profile, and to compare colposcopic images with the World Health Organization (WHO) atlas. Methodology: We conducted a descriptive, analytical cross-sectional study of all colposcopic images taken at the maternity ward of the Saint-Louis regional hospital from August 1, 2018, to September 30, 2020, i.e. 25 months. The images were compared with the BGF images described in the WHO atlas. Results: We collected 178 colposcopy images. FBG images numbered 50, or 28%. The mean age of the patients was 44.5 years ±11.4 at the extremes of 18 and 78 years. Mean gestational age was 4.69 ± 2.72. Among patients with a bilharzian lesion on the cervix, visual acid inspection (ViA) was negative in 60% of cases (p = 0.007, Odd Ratio = 3.6 (1.49 - 9.07)). Conclusion: the results of our study show that FBG is a reality in our daily practice. it occurs in adult, multigestating, non-occupational women whose examination reveals a negative visual inspection with acetic acid (ViA). Healthcare providers therefore need to be trained in the recognition of lesions associated with genital bilharziasis, and public awareness needs to be raised.
