Background In beef cattle, more than 50% of the energy input to produce a unit of beef is consumed by the female that produced the calf. Development of genomic tools to identify females with high genetic merit for reproductive function could increase the profitability and sustainability of beef *** Genome-wide association studies(GWAs) were performed using a single-step genomic best linear unbiased prediction approach on pregnancy outcome traits from a population of Angus–Brahman crossbred heifers. Furthermore, a validation GWAs was performed using data from another farm. Heifers were genotyped with the Bovine GGP F250 array that contains 221,077 sNPs. In the discovery population, heifers were bred in winter breeding seasons involving a single round of timed artificial insemination(AI) followed by natural mating for 3 months. Two phenotypes were analyzed: pregnancy outcome to first-service AI(PAI;n = 1,481) and pregnancy status at the end of the breeding season(PEBs;n = 1,725). The heritability was estimated as 0.149 and 0.122 for PAI and PEBs, respectively. In the PAI model, one quantitative trait locus(QTL), located between 52.3 and 52.5 Mb on BTA7, explained about 3% of the genetic variation, in a region containing a cluster of γ-protocadherin genes and sLC25A2. Other QTLs explaining between 0.5% and 1% of the genetic variation were found on BTA12 and 25. In the PEBs model, a large QTL on BTA7 was synonymous with the QTL for PAI, with minor QTLs located on BTA5, 9, 10, 11, 19, and 20. The validation population for pregnancy status at the end of the breeding season were Angus–Brahman crossbred heifers bred by natural mating. In the Arctic,environment and health are linked in myriad ways.A key emphasis has been on numerous long-lived contaminants in traditional foods,particularly marine mammals,and their well-documented impacts on human,animal and environmental health(“One health approach”).More recent concerns for Indigenous communities focus on the(side)effects of the switch to a modern,processed diet,which is accompanied by a loss of tradition and emerging health ***,the availability of traditional foods is increasingly threatened by the impacts of climate change,which also causes the emergence and spread of new and old diseases,such as *** change,including thawing permafrost and new forest fire regimes,threatens the built environment and *** particular,well-built,planned,and healthy housing is urgently needed,given that much time is spent *** care,particularly for remote and Indigenous communities,is sparse,and often ignores traditional knowledge and local *** communities in the Arctic continue to suffer from marginalization,resource colonization/extraction,and the impacts of *** examples of the green energy transition,such as in Norway,continue a pattern of ignoring Indigenous rights and ***,the connection between environment and health in the Arctic is multifaceted and complex,and investigations and solutions ought to embrace an interdisciplinary and holistic approach toward improving Environmental and Human Health in the region.

AIM To investigate whether immune mediated diseases(IMD) are more frequent in patients with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).METHODs In this population based registry study,a total of 47325 patients with IBD were alive and registered in the Danish National Patient Registry on December 16,2013. Controls were randomly selected from the Danish Civil Registration system(CRs) and matched for sex,age,and municipality. We used ICD 10 codes to identify the diagnoses of the included patients. The IBD population was divided into three subgroups: Ulcerative colitis(UC),Crohn's disease(CD) and Both the latter referring to those registered with both diagnoses. subsequently,odds-ratios(OR) and 95%CI were obtained separately for each group and their respective controls. since the mid-nineteenth century., when the first of the Nordic Geological surveys were established, they have generated a substantial amount of information on the Earth＇s crust, its natural resources, its processes, and on the geological history of Nordic areas. The collective mission of the geological surveys is to carry out ＂Geology for society＂, by doing research and providing services, and by making geological information and data easily accessible to all the varied end users in industry, government agencies, government institutes, public administrations, technical offices, academia and research institutes, as well as for private individuals. The present paper gives a brief overview of a few, selected, research areas and projects currently undertaken by the Nordic geological surveys. These serve as practical examples of how the Nordic geological surveys address important societal problems and challenges that require geological input for their solution.

工业协作型缝纫机器人代替操作工自动完成缝合是未来发展的必然趋势,但当前的工业协作型缝纫机器人难以快速精准地定位面料边缘轮廓信息,影响缝纫效率与缝纫质量。针对印花面料提出线下使用深度学习建立面料检测模型,线上调用面料检测模型分割面料与背景并结合传统轮廓检测算法快速准确提取面料边缘轮廓的方法。首先,建立面料图像数据集,并通过卷积拆分和融合损失函数对VGG-UNet模型进行优化,将面料数据集输入至优化的VGG-UNet模型进行训练学习并构建最优面料检测模型;其次,利用最优面料检测模型分割面料与背景;然后,采用数学形态学算法对分割后的面料图像进行自适应开运算去除面料边缘的毛边;最后,利用Canny算子对去除毛边后的面料图像进行轮廓提取。实验结果表明,本文方法可较好去除面料毛边并快速精准提取印花面料的边缘轮廓,所提取的轮廓与面料边缘轮廓高度拟合,轮廓提取精度高于99%,轮廓提取时间仅需0.216 s。本文研究可为后续机器人的轨迹规划提供快速准确的坐标信息,提高缝合质量和效率,推进无人化、自动化缝合生产线的实现。

Evidence of Linkages between Patient safety and Person-Centred Care in the Maternity and Obstetric Context—An Integrative Review

The aim was to evaluate the current state of knowledge pertaining to patient safety and its link to person-centred care. The international relevance of patient safety has expanded, as have the models of person-centred care. Inspired by this new trend, we collated and summarized the literature for evidence of the two topics. The study was guided by Russell, Whittemore and Knafl’s integrative review framework. An electronic database search was conducted for relevant articles from 2005 to 2016. This review was conducted in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. The structure and process of the evaluation of the evidence are described and the findings interpreted by means of a thematic synthesis. One theme emerged: trustful, safe communication in the relationship between the patient, family members and healthcare professionals and two domains;safety culture and multidisciplinary capacity building. The dominant dimension in the safety culture domain is respectful communication, which implies sharing experiences that lead to a sense of control during labour and birth and is related to the women’s feeling of personal capacity. The dominant dimensions in the multidisciplinary capacity building domain are collaborative teamwork, coordination and risk management, knowledge sharing and patient-centred communication. In conclusion, to enhance patient safety, it is necessary to develop patient-focused, evidence-based skills and guidelines as well as a supportive organization. Due to their interaction with patients, midwives’ communication competence on the part of midwives is essential for supporting the birth and fulfilling the women’s needs and expectations.

为评估竞争压力下气候对栓皮栎(Quercus variabilis Bl.)径向生长的影响及树木对干旱的适应性,以太行山南麓地区混交林中的栓皮栎为研究对象,考虑不同竞争强度与竞争主要来源,结合月气象因子及干旱稳定性指标,分析竞争对栓皮栎径向生长的作用特征。结果表明:研究区栓皮栎径向生长主要受当年6-8月份的气候因子影响。竞争强度分组分析后发现,竞争强度的加剧削弱了栓皮栎径向生长对上一年温度的滞后响应,同时增加了对夏季相对湿度的敏感性。竞争显著提高以种间竞争为主的栓皮栎的干旱抵抗力(R_(t));相反,竞争压力对以种内竞争为主的栓皮栎的干旱恢复力(R_(c))、弹性力(R_(s))造成了负面影响。当竞争主要来自种间时,栓皮栎径向生长表现出更高的气候敏感性与干旱抵抗力。竞争调节了气候对栓皮栎生长的影响模式及干旱适应性程度,种间及种内的竞争调节作用是非等效的。
