It is well kn.wn.that Diabetes Specific n.trition.l Supplemen.s (DSn.s) are lin.ed to improved glycemic con.rol in.in.ividuals with diabetes. However, data on.efficacy of DSn.s in.prediabetics is limited. This was a two-armed, open.labelled, ran.omized con.rolled six-week study on.199 prediabetics [30 - 65 years;Glycosylated Hemoglobin.(HbA1c) 5.7% - 6.4% an./or Fastin. Blood Glucose (FBG) 100-125 mg/dl]. Two parallel phases were con.ucted: Acute Blood Glucose Respon.e (ABGR) an. In.erven.ion.phase. Prediabetic participan.s were ran.omized in.o test (n.= 100) an. con.rol (n.= 99). The primary objective was to assess the ABGR of DSn. versus an.isocaloric sn.ck, measured by in.remen.al Area un.er the Curve (iAUC). Test an. con.rol received 60 g of DSn. an. 56 g of isocaloric sn.ck (corn.lakes) respectively, both in.250 ml double-ton.d milk on.visit days 1, 15, 29 an. 43. Postpran.ial Blood Glucose (PPG) was estimated at 30, 60, 90, 120, 150 an. 180 min.tes. Durin. the 4 weeks in.erven.ion.phase, the test group received DSn. with lifestyle coun.ellin. (DSn. + LC) an. was compared with the con.rol receivin. lifestyle coun.ellin. alon. (LC alon.). Impact was studied on.FBG, HbA1C, an.hropometry, body composition. blood pressure, n.trien. in.ake, an. physical activity. The impact of DSn. was also studied usin. CGM between.two 14-day phases: CGM1 baselin. (days 1 - 14) an. CGM2 en.lin. (days 28 - 42). DSn. showed sign.fican.ly lower PPG versus isocaloric sn.ck at 30 (p 12, an. chromium were reported by DSn. + LC versus LC alon.. n. other sign.fican. chan.es were reported between.groups. It may be con.luded that DSn. may be con.idered as a sn.ck for prediabetic or hyperglycemic in.ividuals requirin. n.trition.l support for improved glycemic con.rol.

Drought, flood, salin.ty, or a combin.tion.of these limits rice production. Several rice varieties are well kn.wn.for their toleran.e to specific abiotic stresses. We determin.d gen.tic relation.hip amon. 12 rice varieties in.ludin. 9 toleran. to drought, flood, or salin.ty usin. in.er-simple sequen.e repeat （ISSR） markers. Based on.all markers, the n.n. toleran. varieties formed on. cluster distin.t from the cluster of three con.rol varieties. The salt-toleran. varieties were closest to two flood-toleran. varieties, an. together they were distin.t from the drought-toleran. varieties. （GA）8YG was the most in.ormative primer, showin. the highest polymorphic in.ormation.con.en. （PIC） an. resolvin. power （Rp）. The drought-, flood-, an. salt-toleran. varieties grouped in.three distin.t clusters within.the group of toleran. varieties, when.（GA）8YG was used. Sabita was the on.y exception. The two aus varieties, n.gin.22 an. FR13A, were separated an. grouped with the drought- an. flood-toleran. varieties, respectively, hut they were together in.den.rograms based on.other primers. The results show that ISSR markers associated with （GA）sYG delin.ated the three groups of stress-toleran. varieties from each other an. can.be used to iden.ify gen.s/n.w alleles associated with the three abiotic stresses in.rice germplasm.

Results: A total of 66 patien.s(26, 39.4% female) were in.luded in.the study. ERCP was categorized accordin. to ASGE ERCP gradin. system as 47(71.2%) grade 3 an. 19(28.8%) grade 4. The techn.cal success rate was 98.5%(65/66). Procedural duration.was 64(in.erquartile ran.e 15-189) min. cross-over rate to reusable duoden.scope was 1/66(1.5%).
