Information on habitat use is critical in sizing protected areas for endangered reptile species. To investigate habitat use, home range, and hibernaculum of the endangered Mongolian Racerunner(Eremias argus), we radio-tracked 40 specimens in a coastal sand dune in South Korea. Of the 163 locations recorded during the breeding season, 150(92.0%) were in grass sand dunes, and the rest(8.0%), all associated with the same lizard, were in shrub sand dunes. All of the 123 locations recorded during the non-breeding season were in grass sand dunes. No lizards were found in the grasslands abutting the dunes. The four lizards with identifiable hibernation sites were found under an average of 17.8 cm of sand and were all located in grass sand dunes. The lizards moved approximately 5 m daily and used 162 m2of home range(computed by minimum convex polygon, MCP) during the breeding season, and they moved approximately 2 m and used 68 m2of home range during the non-breeding season. However, the mean daily moved distances and MCP home ranges were not statistically significantly different between the seasons or between males and females. Our results suggest that in coastal sand dunes, E. argus uses grass sand dunes as its main habitat throughout the year. This finding could be used to determine the appropriate habitat size and to designate for the conservation of this endangered species.

In the context of rapid digitization in industrial environments,how effective are advanced unsupervised learning models,particularly hybrid autoencoder models,at detecting anomalies in industrial control system(ICS)datasets?This study is crucial because it addresses the challenge of identifying rare and complex anomalous patterns in the vast amounts of time series data generated by Internet of Things(IoT)devices,which can significantly improve the reliability and safety of these *** this paper,we propose a hybrid autoencoder model,called ConvBilSTMAE,which combines convolutional neural network(CNN)and bidirectional long short-term memory(BilSTM)to more effectively train complex temporal data patterns in anomaly *** the hardware-in-the-loopbased extended industrial control system dataset,the ConvBilSTM-AE model demonstrated remarkable anomaly detection performance,achieving F1 scores of 0.78 and 0.41 for the first and second datasets,*** results suggest that hybrid autoencoder models are not only viable,but potentially superior alternatives for unsupervised anomaly detection in complex industrial systems,offering a promising approach to improving their reliability and safety.

To improve the photocatalytic efficiency of TiO2nanotubular catalyst,N doped and Pd decorated titania nanotubes was successfully synthesized via anodizing,hydrazine hydrate treatment and photoreduction of Pd *** small Pd nanoparticles were precipitated on TiO2nanotubes through photoreduction of Pd ions,and its distribution is relatively *** X-ray photoelectron spectrometry（XPS） result,the N 1s spectrum represents two peaks with binding energy at 399.7 and 400.7 eV,which suggests that the nitrogen elements doped by hydrazine hydrate treatment are located in interstitial sites of the TiO2crystalline *** N doped TiO2nanotubes with Pd particles,a high photocurrent was detected due to increase of interface charge carrier separation ***,N doped and Pd decorated TiO2nanotubes exhibited much higher dye destruction efficiency and rate constant due to the synergistic effect of the N dopant and the Pd deposition on TiO2nanotubes.

Wave-Tide-Surge Coupled Simulation for Typhoon Maemi

The main task of this study focuses on studying the effect of wave-current interaction on currents, storm surge and wind wave as well as effects of current induced wave refraction and current on waves by using numerical models which consider the bottom boundary layer and sea surface roughness parameter for shallow and smooth bed area around Korean Peninsula. The coupled system （unstructured-mesh SWAN wave and ADCIRC） run on the same unstructured mesh. This identical and homogeneous mesh allows the physics of wave-circulation interactions to be correctly resolved in both models. The unstructured mesh can be applied to a large domain allowing all energy from deep to shallow waters to be seamlessly followed. There is no nesting or overlapping of structured wave meshes, and no interpolation is required. In response to typhoon Maemi （2003）, all model components were validated independently, and shown to provide a faithful representation of the system＇s response to this storm. The waves and storm surge were allowed to develop on the continental shelf and interact with the complex nearshore environment. The resulting modeling system can be used extensively for prediction of the typhoon surge. The result show that it is important to incorporate the wave-current interaction effect into coastal area in the wave-tide-surge coupled model. At the same time, it should consider effects of depth-induced wave breaking, wind field, currents and sea surface elevation in prediction of waves. Specially, we found that：（1） wave radiation stress enhanced the current and surge elevation otherwise wave enhanced nonlinear bottom boundary layer decreased that, （2） wind wave was significantly controlled by sea surface roughness thus we cautiously took the experimental expression. The resulting modeling system can be used for hindcasting （prediction） the wave-tide-surge coupled environments at complex coastline, shallow water and fine sediment area like areas around Korean Peninsula.

This work proposes a map-based control method to improve a vehicle's lateral stability, and the performance of the proposed method is compared with that of the conventional model-referenced control method. Model-referenced control uses the sliding mode method to determine the compensated yaw moment; in contrast, the proposed map-based control uses the compensated yaw moment map acquired by vehicle stability analysis. The vehicle stability region is calculated by a topological method based on the trajectory reversal method. A 2-DOF vehicle model and Pacejka's tire model are used to evaluate the proposed map-based control method. The properties of model-referenced control and map-based control are compared under various road conditions and driving inputs. Model-referenced control uses a control input to satisfy the linear reference model, and it generates unnecessary tire lateral forces that may lead to worse performance than an uncontrolled vehicle with step steering input on a road with a low friction coefficient. However, map-based control determines a compensated yaw moment to maintain the vehicle within the stability region,so the typical responses of vehicle enable to converge rapidly. The simulation results with sine and step steering show that map-based control provides better the tracking responsibility and control performance than model-referenced control.

Computer vision(CV)-based techniques have been widely used in the field of structural health monitoring(SHM)owing to ease of installation and cost-effectiveness for displacement *** paper introduces computer vision based method for robust displacement measurement under occlusion by incorporating random sample consensus(RANSAC).The proposed method uses the Kanade-Lucas-Tomasi(KLT)tracker to extract feature points for tracking,and these feature points are filtered through RANSAC to remove points that are noisy or *** the filtered feature points,the proposed method incorporates Kalman filter to estimate acceleration from velocity and displacement extracted by the *** validation,numerical simulation and experimental validation are *** the simulation,performance of the proposed RANSAC filtering was validated to extract correct displacement out of group of displacements that includes dummy displacement with noise or *** the experiment,both RANSAC filtering and acceleration measurement were validated by partially occluding the target for tracking attached on the *** results demonstrated that the proposed method successfully measures displacement and estimates acceleration as compared to a reference displacement sensor and accelerometer,even under occluded conditions.

Formaldehyde(HCHO) is toxic to the human body and is one of the main threats to the indoor air quality(IAQ). As such, the removal of HCHO is imperative to improving the IAQ,whereby the most useful method to effectively remove HCHO at room temperature is catalytic oxidation. This review discusses catalysts for HCHO room-temperature oxidation,which are categorized according to their preparation methods, i.e., gas-phase reduction and liquid-phase reduction methods. The HCHO oxidation performances, structural features,and reaction mechanisms of the different catalysts are discussed, and directions for future research on catalytic oxidation are reviewed.

Pancreatic adenocarcinosarcoma of monoclonal origin:A case report

Adenocarcinosarcoma, a neoplasm containing both carcinomatous and sarcomatous components, is a rare form of a cancer and the pathophysiology is currently poorly understood. Moreover, definitive treatment guidelines for this disease have not yet been established. Pancreatic adenocarcinosarcoma is even more rare and the prognosis is fatal. Here, we report a case of a 77-year-old male with pancreatic adenocarcinosarcoma and metastasis to the liver. The patient presented at our hospital with uncontrolled glucose levels and diabetes mellitus. The patient’s laboratory findings were unremarkable with the exception of elevated carbohydrate antigen 19-9 levels. Biopsies of the tumors in the pancreas and the liver revealed two types of tumors: pancreatic adenocarcinoma and a poorly differentiated sarcoma. To determine if KRAS mutations were present, we performed a peptide nucleic acid (PNA) clamp PCR-based assay. DNA sequencing by PNA clamp PCR identified a point mutation in codon 12 of exon 2 within KRAS from both tumor types. Because the KRAS mutation is observed in both tumor components, our findings support a monoclonal tumor origin followed by subsequent divergent differentiation into the sarcomatous and carcinomatous tumor populations. After we considered the patient’s status and the late stage of tumor detection, gemcitabine chemotherapy was administered.

The exposure patterns of pest control and disinfection workers have changed after the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)outbreak,but the health risks of chemical exposure have not been *** identified these workers’chemical exposure patterns and risks before and after the COVID-19 *** used data conducted between 2018(pre-pandemic)and 2021(post-pandemic)from three-year cross-sectional surveys on pest control and disinfection *** and dermal exposure concentrations were estimated using equations based on a biocidal product risk assessment model from the Korean National Institute of Environmental *** non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic risks of chemicals were calculated using the United States Environmental Protection Agency risk assessment *** found that the annual work frequency(50^(th)percentile)of foggers using disinfectants increased the most among all the work types,from 140 uses/year to 176 uses/year after the COVID-19 ***,all chemicals’non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic risks increased regardless of exposure *** the worst scenario(95^(th)percentile),the margin of exposure for citric acid,benzethonium chloride,benzyl-C12-16-alkyldimethyl chlorides,and sodium chlorite of inhalation exposure,and isopropyl alcohol and benzyl-C12-16-alkyldimethyl chlorides of dermal exposure were acceptable(>100)before the COVID-19outbreak but became unacceptable(10^(-6))before and after the COVID-19 outbreak but comparatively high after the COVID-19 ***,significantly more workers experienced health symptoms after the COVID-19outbreak(p<0.05),with the most common being muscle lethargy(31%),skin/face stinging(28.7%),and breath shortness/neck pain(24.1%).

In this study,the correlation between simulated and measured radar velocity spectrum width(σ_(v))is *** results show that the dendrites growth zones(DGZs)and needles growth zones(NGZs)mostly contain dendrites(DN)and needles(NE),***σ_(v) zones(1.11.2 m s^(-1),a differential reflectivity(ZDR)higher than 0 dB,and a cross-correlation coefficient(ρhv)less than *** contrast,prolate particles with relatively uniform shapes were observed in the NGZ withσ_(v)<0.6 m s^(-1),a ZDR less than 0 dB,andρhv higher than *** simulation results show that the DN exhibited a largerσ_(v) compared to the NE,and this observedσ_(v) was strongly dependent on the wind fluctuations(v’)due to turbulence or wind *** contrast,the NE exhibited a significantly smallσ_(v)~0.55 m s^(-1),which converges irrespective of v’.In addition,a strong correlation between the measuredσ_(v) values at five radar elevation angles(θ=6.2°,9.1°,13.1°,19°,and 80°)and those simulated in this study confirmed the significance of the analysis results.
