Cloud computing environments,characterized by dynamic scaling,distributed architectures,and complex work-loads,are increasingly targeted by malicious *** threats encompass unauthorized access,data breaches,denial-of-service attacks,and evolving malware *** security solutions often struggle with the dynamic nature of cloud environments,highlighting the need for robust Adaptive Cloud Intrusion Detection Systems(CIDS).Existing adaptive CIDS solutions,while offering improved detection capabilities,often face limitations such as reliance on approximations for change point detection,hindering their precision in identifying *** can lead to missed attacks or an abundance of false alarms,impacting overall security *** address these challenges,we propose ACIDS(Adaptive Cloud Intrusion Detection System)-*** novel Adaptive CIDS framework leverages the Pruned Exact Linear Time(PELT)algorithm and a Support Vector Machine(SVM)for enhanced accuracy and ***-PELT comprises four key components:(1)Feature Selection:Utilizing a hybrid harmony search algorithm and the symmetrical uncertainty filter(HSO-SU)to identify the most relevant features that effectively differentiate between normal and anomalous network traffic in the cloud environment.(2)Surveillance:Employing the PELT algorithm to detect change points within the network traffic data,enabling the identification of anomalies and potential security threats with improved precision compared to existing approaches.(3)Training Set:Labeled network traffic data forms the training set used to train the SVM classifier to distinguish between normal and anomalous behaviour patterns.(4)Testing Set:The testing set evaluates ACIDS-PELT’s performance by measuring its accuracy,precision,and recall in detecting security threats within the cloud *** evaluate the performance of ACIDS-PELT using the NSL-KDD benchmark *** results demonstrate that ACIDS-PELT outperf

The rapid growth of Internet of Things(IoT)devices has brought numerous benefits to the interconnected ***,the ubiquitous nature of IoT networks exposes them to various security threats,including anomaly intrusion *** addition,IoT devices generate a high volume of unstructured *** intrusion detection systems often struggle to cope with the unique characteristics of IoT networks,such as resource constraints and heterogeneous data *** the unpredictable nature of network technologies and diverse intrusion methods,conventional machine-learning approaches seem to lack *** numerous research domains,deep learning techniques have demonstrated their capability to precisely detect *** study designs and enhances a novel anomaly-based intrusion detection system(AIDS)for IoT ***,a Sparse Autoencoder(SAE)is applied to reduce the high dimension and get a significant data representation by calculating the reconstructed ***,the Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)technique is employed to create a binary classification *** proposed SAE-CNN approach is validated using the Bot-IoT *** proposed models exceed the performance of the existing deep learning approach in the literature with an accuracy of 99.9%,precision of 99.9%,recall of 100%,F1 of 99.9%,False Positive Rate(FPR)of 0.0003,and True Positive Rate(TPR)of *** addition,alternative metrics,such as training and testing durations,indicated that SAE-CNN performs better.

Background:Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)virus affected more people than SARS-CoV-1 and related *** genetic factors,besides respiratory droplets and direct exposure to the virus,are found highly responsible for transmitting SARS-CoV-2 ***:The objective of this study was to determine the plasma levels of the TMPRSS2 gene and its role in SARS-CoV-2 ***:A total of 100 patients,i.e.50 SARS-CoV-2 positive patients as the case group and 50 SARS-CoV-2 negative samples as the control group,were selected randomly and included in this case-control study to determine the association between TMPRSS2 gene and susceptibility to SARS-CoV-2 infection and severity of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).The TMPRSS2 levels of case and control samples were measured through an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Following the genomic DNA extraction,a set of reverse and forward primers of human TMPRSS2 gene primers were used for the amplification of the TMPRSS2 ***:In the control group,the ratio of men to women was more or less the same while in the case group 62%of the population were *** TMPRSS2 level was found to be 4.70±7.7 ng/ml in case samples while it was 4.73±5.7 ng/ml in control ***:The levels of TMPRSS2 in plasma samples of both controls and cases were found to be the same indicating that the entry of SARS-CoV-2 is not dependent on the plasma levels of this protein.

Introduction and Significance: Burn injury (BI) is a considerable health issue which is responsible for around 300,000 deaths and affecting about 11 million people every year worldwide. In Saudi Arabia, the prevalence of BIs array from 112 to 518 per 100,000 per year. The appropriate awareness of performing first aid could facilitate to improve the outcomes of burns. Purpose and Objectives: To appraise the community that acknowledges burns, first aid, and associated factors among the community population in Jazan City, Saudi Arabia. The paper aims to identify limitations to encourage additional research and persuade legislators to develop improved burn-injury care recommendations and training programs. Materials and Methods: An observational-based sample survey was conducted among the people who live in Jazan City aging 13 years or more, during April 5 to May 5, 2023. Data collection was done by a validated online self-administrated questionnaire sent randomly to community members in different parts of Jazan City via social media platforms. Collected data were coded and cleaned by an excel program, and finally exported on SPSS 26.0 software. The variables were analyzed using descriptive statistics like frequencies and percentages. Also, the Chi-square test was used to investigate the relation between different variables, with a significance value of P Results: This study included 243 participants (about 62%) among them were mostly male participants (151) having a university degree. The majority of participants 75% did not take any form of BFA training in the past. This study shows that 69.9% of the participants have inadequate awareness, despite 72% having a constructive attitude towards burn first aid. Previous burn-related first aid training was significantly associated with participants’ knowledge of BFA at a p-value less than 0.05. Photoinitiated substitution complex of [Fe（CN）6]^4- with imidazole has been synthesized and characterized. On the basis of elemental analysis, the empirical molecular formula of the complex is K4[Fe（CN）5（C3H4N2）]·4H2O. The substitution of aquo ligand produced as a result of photoexcitation by imidazole has been confirmed by various spectroscopic thechniques like UV-Vis, FTIR, NMR, and SEM techniques. The characteristic FTIR and NMR absorption peaks for different entities present support the assigned formula. The presence of cyanide and imidazole ligands is shown by FTIR absorption peaks at 2046 cm^-1 due to v（C≡N） and at 1447 and 1619 cm^-1 due to v（C=N） and v（C=C） stretching vibration of the aromatic ring of imidazole, hence, confirming the assigned formula and photoinitiated substitution process. ^1HNMR also shows the peaks for aromatic hydrogen confirming again the presence of imidazole in the complex, further supporting the successful photoinitiated process. The water outside the coordination sphere has been confirmed from FTIR peaks and thermal analysis. Thermal kinetics and mechanistic studies have also been carried out by TG and DSC, Thermodynamics parameters such as activation energy（Ea）, preexponential factor（A）, and entropy of activation（Aft） have been calculated for each step via different methods like Doyle＇s, Coats, and Redfern and Arrehenius.

Laplace transform is one of the powerful tools for solving differential equations in engineering and other science *** the Laplace transform for solving differential equations,however,sometimes leads to solutions in the Laplace domain that are not readily invertible to the real domain by ***,we need numerical inversionmethods to convert the obtained solution fromLaplace domain to a real *** this paper,we propose a numerical scheme based on Laplace transform and numerical inverse Laplace transform for the approximate solution of fractal-fractional differential equations with orderα,β.Our proposed numerical scheme is based on three main ***,we convert the given fractal-fractional differential equation to fractional-differential equation in Riemann-Liouville sense,and then into Caputo ***,we transformthe fractional differential equation in Caputo sense to an equivalent equation in Laplace *** the solution of the transformed equation is obtained in Laplace ***,the solution is converted into the real domain using numerical inversion of Laplace *** inversion methods are evaluated in this paper,and their convergence is also *** test problems are used to validate the inversion *** demonstrate our results with the help of tables and *** obtained results show that Euler’s and Talbot’s methods performed better than Stehfest’s method.

A consensus meeting of national experts from all major national hepatobiliary centres in the country was held on May 26,2023,at the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute&Research Centre(PKLI&RC)after initial consultations with the *** Pakistan Society for the Study of Liver Diseases(PSSLD)and PKLI&RC jointly organised this *** effort was based on a comprehensive literature review to establish national practice guidelines for hilar cholangiocarcinoma(hCCA).The consensus was that hCCA is a complex disease and requires a multidisciplinary team approach to best manage these *** coordinated effort can minimise delays and give patients a chance for curative treatment and effective *** diagnostic and staging workup includes high-quality computed tomography,magnetic resonance imaging,and magnetic resonance *** cytology or biopsy utilizing endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography is a mainstay for ***,histopathologic confirmation is not always required before *** ultrasound with fine needle aspiration of regional lymph nodes and positron emission tomography scan are valuable adjuncts for *** only curative treatment is the surgical resection of the biliary tree based on the Bismuth-Corlette *** patients with unresectable hCCA can be considered for liver *** chemotherapy should be offered to patients with a high risk of *** use of preoperative biliary drainage and the need for portal vein embolisation should be based on local multidisciplinary *** with acute cholangitis can be drained with endoscopic or percutaneous biliary *** chemotherapy with cisplatin and gemcitabine has shown improved survival in patients with irresectable and recurrent hCCA.

Differential quadrature method is employed by numerous researchers due to its numerical accuracy and computational efficiency,and is mentioned as potential alternative of conventional numerical *** this paper,a differential quadrature based numerical scheme is developed for solving volterra partial integro-differential equation of second order having a weakly singular *** scheme uses cubic trigonometric B-spline functions to determine the weighting coefficients in the differential quadrature approximation of the second order spatial *** advantage of this approximation is that it reduces the problem to a first order time dependent integro-differential equation(IDE).The proposed scheme is obtained in the form of an algebraic system by reducing the time dependent IDE through unconditionally stable Euler backward method as time *** scheme is validated using a homogeneous and two nonhomogeneous test *** of the system matrix and numerical convergence of the method are analyzed for spatial and temporal domain discretization *** of results of the present approach with Sinc collocation method and quasi-wavelet method are also made.
