Influence of manganese rate on structural, optical and electrochemical properties of CeO_(2) thin films deposited by spray pyrolysis:Supercapacitor applications

The present work aimed to investigate the electrochemical properties of ITO substrates in propylene carbonate(PC) with 0.5 mol/L lithium perchlorate(LiClO_(4)) medium in the presence of elaborated thin films of cerium dioxide pure and doped with manganese at varying ***_(1-x)Mn_(x)O_(2)(x=0 wt%,2 wt%,4 wt% and 6 wt%) were successfully deposited by the spray pyrolysis(SP) technique on the glass substrate and ITO at 450℃.The effects of manganese(Mn) doped thin films Ce_(1-x)Mn_(x)O_(2) were studied and investigated by using different analyses namely X-ray diffraction(XrD) analysis,raman spectroscopy method,UV-Vis spectrophotometer technique,atomic force microscopy(AFM) analysis and electrochemical *** data obtained present a polycrystalline with a face-centred cubic structure of fluorite *** results of undoped and Mn doped thin films show two peaks at 465 and 600 cm^(-1),due to the formation of extrinsic oxygen vacancies by the incorporation of Mn into Ce1-xMnxO_(2) *** dispersive spectroscopy(EDS) data show the presence of Ce,O,and Mn elements in the elaborated *** AFM results reveal that the surface roughness decreases with increasing Mn ***,band gap energy of thin films decreases with increasing in Mn rate due to the formation of defect state between valence and conduction *** storage capacity of the elaborated Ce_(1-x)Mn_(x)O_(2)/ITO/PC+LiClO_(4) electrode reaches a maximum of 1.997 mF in the presence of 6 wt% of Mn.

The stream sediments of Wadi el reddah(North Eastern Desert,Egypt)are geochemically and mineralogically *** content of radioactive and other heavy minerals is mainly represented by thorite,uranothorite,zircon,monazite,xenotime,columbite,fergusonite,and unknown rare earth elements(rEEs)bearing minerals as well as *** emphasis on rEE content of thorite,uranothorite,zircon and xenotime has been done to cor.elate them with the increase of uranium contents in these *** key evidence for the presence lowtemperature alteration processes includes the presence of some zircon crystals as remnants after complete dissolution of the overgrowth zircon in severe acidic environment,the sulphur content,biogenic minerals,occurrence of unusual minerals as cassiterite pore filling in zircon,variation in the rEEs content from the surrounding granites to the stream sediments and the abundance of monazite in the surrounding *** minerals are partially and/or completely altered,which indicated by the pseudomorphism of zircon by xenotime,thorite,and uranothorite.

A Proposed Biometric Authentication Model to Improve Cloud Systems Security

Most user authentication mechanisms of cloud systems depend on the credentials approach in which a user submits his/her identity through a username and ***,this approach has many security problems because personal data can be stolen or recognized by *** paper aims to present a cloud-based biometric authentication model(CBioAM)for improving and securing cloud *** research study presents the verification and identification processes of the proposed cloud-based biometric authentication system(CBioAS),where the biometric samples of users are saved in database servers and the authentication process is implemented without loss of the users’*** paper presents the performance evaluation of the proposed model in terms of three main characteristics including accuracy,sensitivity,and *** research study introduces a novel algorithm called“Bio_Authen_as_a_Service”for implementing and evaluating the proposed *** proposed system performs the biometric authentication process securely and preserves the privacy of user *** experimental result was highly promising for securing cloud services using the proposed *** experiments showed encouraging results with a performance average of 93.94%,an accuracy average of 96.15%,a sensitivity average of 87.69%,and a specificity average of 97.99%.

Integrated Low-cost Wastewater Treatment for reuse in Irrigation

For sustainable wastewater management in developing countries, the implementation of low\|cost, simple treatment systems should be encouraged. In this study, the performance of three treatment schemes was evaluated. The first step in all schemes was upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB). The post treatment was either Algal Pond (AP). Lemna Pond (LP) or rotating Biological Contactor (rBC). The results show that the performance of the UASB was satisfactory. Mean COD and BOD removal values were 78% and 85% respectively. The combination of UASB with an AP achieved significant improvement in the microbiological quality of the effluent. The geometric mean of fecal coliform in the effluent was 1.3×10 3 MPN/100ml. residual COD was 143 mg O\-2/L. This relatively high value was due to the presence of algae in the AP effluent. The use of the LP as a post treatment achieved better quality effluent. As indicated by the physico\|chemical characteristics. However, fecal coliform removal was less by one log as compared to the AP effluent. When the rBC was used as a second stage. COD and BOD removal rates were 47% and 66% respectively. Also complete nitrification took place. Fecal coliform density declined by 5 logs.

reliability analysis of earth slopes using hybrid chaotic particle swarm optimization

A numerical procedure for reliability analysis of earth slope based on advanced first-order second-moment method is presented,while soil properties and pore water pressure may be considered as random *** factor of safety and performance function is formulated utilizing a new approach of the Morgenstern and Price *** evaluate the minimum reliability index defined by Hasofer and Lind and corresponding critical probabilistic slip surface,a hybrid algorithm combining chaotic particle swarm optimization and harmony search algorithm called CPSOHS is *** comparison of the results of the presented method,standard particle swarm optimization,and selected other methods employed in previous studies demonstrates the superior successful functioning of the new method by evaluating lower values of reliability index and factor of ***,the presented procedure is applied for sensitivity analysis and the obtained results show the influence of soil strength parameters and probability distribution types of random variables on the reliability index of slopes.

Osteoarthritis(OA)is the most common musculoskeletal disease,and it is a major cause of pain,disability and health *** is the most common and bothersome presentation of OA,but its treatment is still suboptimal,due to the short-term action of employed analgesics and their poor adverse effect *** to their regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties,mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)have been extensively investigated as a potential therapy for OA,and numerous preclinical and clinical studies found a significant improvement in joint pathology and function,pain scores and/or quality of life after administration of *** a limited number of studies,however,addressed pain control as the primary end-point or investigated the potential mechanisms of analgesia induced by *** this paper,we review the evidence reported in literature that support the analgesic action of MSCs in OA,and we summarize the potential mechanisms of these antinociceptive effects.

Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)have gained wide-ranging reputation in the medical research community due to their promising regenerative *** can be isolated from various resources mostly bone marrow,Adipose tissues and Umbilical *** advances have been achieved in comprehending the possible mechanisms underlying the therapeutic functions of *** the proven role of MSCs in repairing and healing of many disease modalities,many hurdles hinder the transferring of these cells in the clinical *** the most reported problems encountering MSCs therapy in vivo are loss of tracking signal post-transplantation,insufficient migration,homing and engraftment postinfusion,and undesirable differentiation at the site of *** nanoparticles(MNPs)have been used widely for various biomedical *** have a metallic core stabilized by an outer coating material and their magnetic properties can be modulated by an external magnetic *** magnetic properties of MNPs were found to enhance the quality of diagnostic imaging procedures and can be used to create a carrying system for targeted delivery of therapeutic substances mainly drug,genes and stem *** studies highlighted the advantageous outcomes of combining MSCs with MNPs in potentiating their tracking,monitoring,homing,engraftment and *** this review,we will discuss the role of MNPs in promoting the therapeutic profile of MSCs which may improve the success rate of MSCs transplantation and solve many challenges that delay their clinical applicability.
