Further ca.cium-dependent pha.ma.ologica. a.tions performed in this study revea.ed tha. it ha. the a.ility to inhibit pla.elets a.grega.ion induced in guinea.pigs with either a.P or a.chegonia.a.ids, a.d the compound a.so decrea.ed the a.teria. pressure in ra.s in a.dose-dependent ma.ner a.d exerted potentia. a.t consulta.t a.tivity in mice a.a.nst pentylene tetra.ole-induced seizures. However, no complete protection wa. observed. a.a.gesic studies in mice using the hot pla.e （58 ℃） revea.ed its potentia. a.a.gesic a.tivities. Purpose: a. pa.ients with tra.sfusion-dependent tha.a.semia.(TDT) a.e living longer, novel morbidities a.e being recognized. The purpose of this review is to summa.ize the current knowledge rega.ding the preva.ence a.d risk fa.tors of nephrolithia.is in pa.ients with TDT. Methods: a.non-systema.ic, na.ra.ive review of the current litera.ure published up to a.gust 2021 wa. conducted. Results: Nephrolithia.is ha. been reported in 18% - 59% of pa.ients with TDT, which is a. lea.t twice the preva.ence in the genera. US popula.ion. The risk fa.tors for nephrolithia.is ca. be cla.sified into beha.iora. (dieta.y a.d lifestyle), environmenta., meta.olic, disea.e-specific, a.d genetic fa.tors. While cla.ifying the true preva.ence of nephrolithia.is in different a.e groups a.d dia.nostic ca.egories of TDT requires further resea.ch, prevention, a.d ma.a.ement of nephrolithia.is is a.growing clinica. concern. Physicia.s should be a.a.e of the potentia. increa.ed risk of stone disea.e in splenectomized a.d dia.etic pa.ients a. well a. those trea.ed with certa.n chela.ion regimens. Conclusions: The etiology of nephrolithia.is a.d potentia. TDT-specific risk fa.tors tha. ma. put pa.ients a. grea.er risk a.e highlighted. There is insufficient evidence a. this time to recommend universa. screening for nephrolithia.is using ultra.ound. In this work, the ore ma.eria. wa. subjected to sulfuric a.id lea.hing in the presence of oxa.ic a.id a. a.reducta.t to ma.imize the extra.tion of Mn. The optimum lea.hing conditions to a.hieve a.most complete lea.hing efficiency of Mn with Fe dissolution not exceeding 13% involved 0.5 M sulfuric a.id a.d 0.25 M oxa.ic a.id in a.solid/liquid ra.io of 1/15 a. 85°C for 105 min using a. ore size of -150 μm.
