Objective To study the association between early growth of haematoma with biomarkers of endothelial dysfunction such as leukoaraiosis(LA)and the soluble tumour necrosis factor-like weak inducer of apoptosis(sTWEAK)in patients with intracerebral haemorrhage(ICH).Methods This is a retrospective observational study of patients with nontraumatic *** and biochemical parameters were *** levels were measured by *** was analysed in the hemisphere without haemorrhage to avoid interference with the acute *** main endpoint was the haematoma growth evaluated by the difference in volume between the second and the initial *** functional outcome,defined as a modified Rankin scale>2 at 3 months,was considered as secondary *** operating characteristic curve analysis was performed to stablish the best cut-off for sTWEAK levels associated with haematoma *** We included 653 patients with ICH in our analysis(71.1±11.9 years,44%women).Haematoma growth was observed in 188 patients(28.8%).sTWEAK levels≥5600 pg/mL predicted ICH growth with a sensitivity of 84%and a specificity of 87%.sTWEAK levels≥5600 pg/mL and the presence of LA were associated with haematoma growth(OR:42.46;(CI 95%22.67 to 79.52)and OR:2.73(CI 95%1.39 to 5.34),respectively).Also,the presence of LA(OR:4.31(CI 95%2.89 to 6.42))and the interaction between ICH growth and sTWEAK(OR:2.23(CI 95%1.40 to 3.55))were associated with poor functional outcome at 3 *** sTWEAKs,together with the presence and grade of LA,are biomarkers able to predict ICH growth and poor functional outcome in patients with ICH.

In order to satisfy the increasing demand on high performance planetary transmissions, an important line of research is focused on the understanding of some of the underlying phenomena involved in this mechanical system. Through the development of models capable of reproduce the system behavior, research in this area contributes to improve gear transmission insight, helping developing better maintenance practices and more efficient design processes. A planetary gear model used for the design of profile modifications ratio based on the levelling of the load sharing ratio is presented. The gear profile geometry definition, following a vectorial approach that mimics the real cutting process of gears, is thoroughly described. Teeth undercutting and hypotrochoid definition are implicitly considered, and a procedure for the incorporation of a rounding arc at the tooth tip in order to deal with corner contacts is described. A procedure for the modeling of profile deviations is presented, which can be used for the introduction of both manufacturing errors and designed profile modifications. An easy and flexible implementation of the profile deviation within the planetary model is accomplished based on the geometric overlapping. The contact force calculation and dynamic implementation used in the model are also introduced, and parameters from a real transmission for agricultural applications are presented for the application example. A set of reliefs is designed based on the levelling of the load sharing ratio for the example transmission, and finally some other important dynamic factors of the transmission are analyzed to assess the changes in the dynamic behavior with respect to the non-modified case. Thus, the main innovative aspect of the proposed planetary transmission model is the capacity of providing a simulated load sharing ratio which serves as design variable for the calculation of the tooth profile modifications.

Endoscopic ultrasound (EUs) has become an essential tool for the study of pancreatic diseases. specifically, EUs plays a pivotal role evaluating patients with a known or suspected pancreatic mass. In this setting, differential diagnosis remains a clinical challenge. EUs-guided fine-needle aspiration (FNA) and fine-needle biopsy (FNB) have been proven to be safe and useful tools in this setting. EUs-guided FNA and FNB, by obtaining cytological and/or histological samples, are able to diagnose pancreatic lesions with high sensitivity and specificity. In this context, several methodological features, trying to increase the diagnostic yield of EUs-guided FNA and FNB, have been evaluated. In this review, we focus on the role of rapid on-site evaluation (ROsE). From data reported in the literature, ROsE may increase diagnostic yield of EUs-FNA specimens by 10%-30%, and thus, diagnostic accuracy. However, we should point out that many recent studies have reported adequacy rates of > 90% without ROsE, indicating that, perhaps, at high-volume centers, ROsE may not be indispensable to achieve excellent results. The use of ROsE can be considered important during the learning curve of EUs-FNA, and also in hospital with diagnostic accuracy rates < 90%.

Abstract We study affine Jacobi structures （brackets） on an affine bundle π ： A → M, i.e. Jacobi brackets that close on affine functions. We prove that if the rank of A is non-zero, there is a one-toone correspondence between affine Jacobi structures on A and Lie algebroid structures on the vector bundle A^＋ = ∪p∈M Aff（Ap, R） of affine functionals. In the case rank A = 0, it is shown that there is a one-to-one correspondence between affine Jacobi structures on A and local Lie algebras on A^＋. some examples and applications, also for the linear case, are discussed. For a special type of affine Jacobi structures which are canonically exhibited （strongly-affine or affine-homogeneous Jacobi structures） over a real vector space of finite dimension, we describe the leaves of its characteristic foliation as the orbits of an affine representation. These affine Jacobi structures can be viewed as an analog of the Kostant-Arnold-Liouville linear Poisson structure on the dual space of a real finite-dimensional Lie algebra.

The concept for space interferometry from Polar or Equatorial Circular Medium Earth Orbits(the PECMEO concept) is a promising way to acquire the image of the"shadow"of the event horizon of sagittarius A*with an angular resolution of circa 5 microarcseconds. The concept is intended to decrease the size of the main reflector of the instrument to about 3 m using a precise orbit reconstruction based on Global Navigation satellite system (GNss) navigation, inter-satellite range and range-rate measurements, and data from the Attitude and Orbit Determination system (AODs). The paper provides the current progress on the definition of the subsystems required for the concept on the basis of simulations, radio regulations, and available technology. The paper proposes the requirement for the localization of the phase centre of the main reflector. The paper provides information about the visibility of GNss satellites and the needed accuracies of the AODs. The paper proposes the frequency plan for the instrument and its Inter-satellite Links (IsLs).The concepts for measurement of range and range-rate using IsLs (as well as for the data exchange at these IsLs) are presented. The block diagram of the interferometer is described and its sensitivity is estimated. The link budget for both IsLs is given as well as their critical components. The calculated measurement quality factors are given. The paper shows the expected performance of the sub-systems of the interferometer. The requirements for the localization of the main reflectors and the information about the availability of the GNss satellites are based on the simulations results. The frequency plan is obtained according to the PECMEO concept and taking into account the radio regulations. The existing technology defines the accuracies of the AODs, both the link budgets and the fundamental measurement accuracies for IsLs, and the sensitivity of the instrument. Large scavengers are strongly dependent on environmental conditions and carrion distribution and abundance,so season and breeding-related factors may influence the spatial ecology of species such as the Cinereous Vulture(Aegypius monachus),the largest European *** holds one of the biggest populations worldwide,but some aspects of the spatial ecology of the species in this region remain *** this study,17 adult Cinereous Vultures were GPs-tracked in order to study their spatial ecology during the adult *** average monthly home ranges(95%Kernel Density Estimation,KDE)and core areas(50%KDE)were 6543±19,935 km^(2)and 1174±4004 km^(2),*** average monthly home range fidelity ranged between 50 and 73%.Differences in movement-related variables between the seasonal periods(incubation,chick-rearing and non-breeding)were *** the chick-rearing period,the monthly accumulated distance was higher than during the other periods:3316±1108(chick-rearing)vs.1621±622(incubation)vs.1726±1159 km per month(nonbreeding).Additionally,large home range sizes were more frequent during the chick-rearing *** are two likely causes for these seasonal ***,chick-rearing entails a higher energetic expenditure by the parental individuals in foraging activities,so larger movements and foraging areas are expected during this ***,the flight is favoured during spring and summer due to environmental *** chick-rearing and warm months is a great evolutionary advantage for soaring-gliding raptors,as it allows them to cover larger areas with low energy ***,six individuals tagged as nestlings highlight the philopatric behaviour of the species:vultures settle their breeding areas 54±51 km from their natal nest(range=9–138 km).
