Background: An irreversible renal function impairment is called chronic renal failure (CRF) which finally leads to the “end-stage renal disease” (ESRD) and requires renal replacement therapies. The aim of this study is to evaluate the incidence, prevalence of epidemiological indicators (age, sex), and causes of chronic renal failure in children in Mashhad (one of the big cities of Iran). Methods: This is a cross-sectional study that was conducted on patients’ records over a seven-year period (2008-2014) in Doctor Sheikh Children’s Hospital of Mashhad. The inclusion criteria were all children under 20 years old diagnosed with ESRD, with a GFR less than 15 ml/min/1.73 m2 who were referred to the hospital during the study period. Patients’ information, such as age, gender, onset of dialysis, causes of constructing renal failure, and positive or negative antigen of hepatitis B was extracted from their records. Data were analyzed using SPSS 16 software. Results: A total of 326 patients were studied, of which, 56.4% were male. 45.1% were from 7 to 18 years. 56.4% of patients were on hemodialysis and others were on peritoneal dialysis. The most common cause of chronic renal failure in the study was respectively reflux nephropathy (32.9%), nephrotic syndrome (8.9%), neurogenic bladder (5.5%), stones (2.5%), glomerulopathy (2.1%) and cystinosis (1.5%) and (20.9%) had unknown cause. During the 7-year period of study considering the treatment outcomes, 69.3% of patients needed to continue the dialysis;10.4% underwent transplantation;10.4% unfortunately died despite of treatment and 1.5% were cured. Conclusions: It is hoped that considering the clinical symptoms of children with chronic renal failure and the diagnosis of the cause, we can reduce complications of the disease with a quick diagnosis and treatment, as well as appropriate follow-up.

目的:探讨隐形眼镜基线(BC)和角膜曲率结果(Krf)之间简单的数学相关性。方法:本回顾性研究包括350例400只圆锥角膜的眼睛,其先前五年在学院眼科中心验配硬性隐形眼镜。根据角膜曲率结果患者被分为五组,分别为Krf8,Krf-Krs(两个角膜曲率的差异;平坦和陡峭)=0.3-0.6,Krf-Krs>0.6mm1至5组,使用多元线性回归和蒙罗相关系数推测公式。结果:除了第3组患者,可以在所有组中发现线性相关。第1组,BC=0.211×5.904Krf。第2组,BC=0.456×Krf4.160。第4组,BC=0.321×5.219Krf。第5组,BC=0.337×Krf+5.090。结论:RGP验配新公式的发展,可增强眼科医生工作的信心,避免不必要的和频繁的眼镜试验。通常的隐形眼镜验配方法需要更换新的公式,从而帮助节省时间和费用。

AIM: To compare 2-deoxy-2-(18F)fluoro-D-glucose(18F-FDG) and 18F-sodium (18F-NaF) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) accuracy in breast cancer patients with clinically/radiologically suspected or known bone ***: A total of 45 consecutive patients with breast cancer and the presence or clinical/biochemical or radiological suspicion of bone metastatic disease underwent 18F-FDG and 18F-fluoride PET/CT. Imaging results were compared with histopathology when available, or clinical and radiological follow-up of at least 1 year. For each technique we calculated: Sensitivity (Se), specificity (Sp), overall accuracy, positive and negative predictive values, error rate, and Youden’s index. McNemar’s χ2 test was used to test the difference in sensitivity and specificity between the two diagnostic methods. All analyses were computed on a patient basis, and then on a lesion basis, with consideration ofthe density of independent lesions on the co-registered CT (sclerotic, lytic, mixed, no-lesions) and the divergent site of disease (skull, spine, ribs, extremities, pelvis). The impact of adding 18F-NaF PET/CT to the work-up of patients was also measured in terms of change in their management due to 18F-NaF PET/CT ***: The two imaging methods of 18F-FDG and 18F-fluoride PET/CT were significantly different at the patient-based analysis: Accuracy was 86.7% and 84.4%, respectively (McNemar’s χ2 = 6.23, df = 1, P = 0.01). 选择性催化还原(SCR)系统已被证明是大型柴油机控制氮氧化物(NOx)排放的有效方案。未来的大型柴油机被设计为有更高的NOx排放量,以提高燃油经济性,这需要越来越高的NOx转化效率以满足排放法规要求。为此,未来的后处理设计可采用先进的技术,如选择性催化转化(SCR)涂覆颗粒滤清器(SCRF)和涂覆在高孔隙度直通式载体上的SCR,以获得高转化效率。评价了不同的高NOx转化效率系统。首先,通过使用SCRF单元和附加的涂覆在高孔隙度载体的SCR涂层,设计了高性能的NOx控制催化剂。第二,评价了不同的控制策略,以了解还原剂剂量策略和热管理对NOx转化效率的影响。在1台大型柴油机上进行瞬态循环试验。提高氨投入量而不是尿素可进一步提高转化效率,尤其是在低温下无法喷入尿素的时候。此外,实施热管理改善了低温时的NOx转化效率。结果证明,这种系统加上发动机控制策略的改进可以使瞬态FTP测试循环中的NOx转化效率达到95%以上,从而可使柴油机满足未来排放法规和燃油经济性的目标。

BACKGROUND The increase in circulating Troponin-I in the blood of patients suffering coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)can be a strong prognostic factor for predicting disease poorer *** To review the literatures to approve this claim *** Two blinded reviewers independently screened the titles and abstracts of the manuscripts using the keywords and deeply searching the databanks including PubMed,Scopus,Google Scholar,and Web of knowledge,followed by profoundly appraisement of the full texts to assess the inclusion *** The manuscripts entered into our final assessment were categorized as the two groups including 10 manuscripts describing and comparing death and diseaserelated complications between the subgroups of patients with raised serum troponin level and those with normal ranges of this biomarker and 7 manuscripts comparing the mean level of serum troponin concentration across the survived and non-survived *** outcome of COVID-19 disease in the groups with raised troponin level and normal level of this markers showed increased the likelihood of death[hazard ratio(HR)=4.967,P<0.001],acute respiratory distress syndrome(HR=5.914,P<0.001),acute kidney injury(HR=3.849,P<0.001),and intensive care unit(ICU)admission(HR=3.780,P<0.001)following raise of *** pooled analysis showed significantly higher concentration of this marker in the survived group compared to non-survived group(weighted mean differences of 22.278,95%CI:15.647 to 28.927,P<0.001).CONCLUSION Raising troponin-I on admission can be linked to the increase risk for in-hospital death,acute respiratory distress syndrome,kidney injury,and ICU admission by 4.9,5.9,3.8,and 3.7 times as compared to those with initial normal troponin-I ***,raising baseline value of troponin-I can be used as a prognostic factor for poor outcome of COVID-19.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.
