Background Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has diferent manifestations in pediatric *** is assumed that they might present more gastrointestinal symptoms with a diferent viral shedding pattern in gastrointestinal *** this systematic review and meta-analysis,we aimed to evaluate the viral shedding pattern in gastrointestinal specimens of children with *** We searched all published studies in English language in PubMed,Web of Science,and Scopus,up to date as of October *** search included the term"severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2,COVID-19,SARS-CoV-2,novel coronavirus,or coronavirus;and shed,excrete,secret,or carriage;and stool or rectal;and children or pediatrics".We included studies evaluating SARS-CoV-2 shedding in gastrointestinal specimens,including rectal swabs and stool samples of children with COVID-19 *** excluded duplicated data,case reports,and studies without original *** Twelve studies met the eligibility criteria for the qualitative synthesis,10 of which were included in the *** pooled prevalence of gastrointestinal severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)RNA in children with COVID-19 was 86%(95%confdence interval 73%–96%,I 2=62.28%).After respiratory specimen had become negative,72%(43/60)had persistent shedding in gastrointestinal *** gastrointestinal RNA had a positive test result for more than 70 days after symptoms *** Gastrointestinal shedding of SARS-CoV-2 might occur in a substantial portion of children and might persist long after negative respiratory *** research is recommended to fnd the role of SARS-CoV-2 gastrointestinal shedding in transmission in children.

Esophageal cancer has been reported as the ninth most common malignancy and ranks as the sixth most frequent cause of death worldwide. Esophageal cancer treatment involves surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or combination therapy. Novel strategies are needed to boost the oncologic outcome. Recent advances in the molecular biology of esophageal cancer have documented the role of genetic alterations in tumorigenesis. Oncogenes serve a pivotal function in tumorigenesis. Targeted therapies are directed at the unique molecular signature of cancer cells for enhanced efficacy with low toxicity. RNA interference(RNAi) technology is a powerful tool for silencing endogenous or exogenous genes in mammalian cells. Related results have shown that targeting oncogenes with siRNAs, specifically the mRNA, effectively reduces tumor cell proliferation and induces apoptotic cell death. This article will briefly review studies on silencing tumor enhancer genes related to the induction of esophageal cancer.

采用十二烷基硫酸钠(SDS)表面活性剂和SiO_(2)纳米颗粒作为发泡体系,在不同原油沥青质含量下进行泡沫稳定性实验,测量CO_(2)泡沫半衰期;采用扫描电子显微图像、紫外分光光度法测试和Zeta电位测量,分析沥青质降低CO_(2)泡沫稳定性的机理。研究表明:当合成油与发泡体系质量比为1∶9时,合成油沥青质质量分数从0增至15%,SDS稳定泡沫半衰期从751 s减少至239 s,SDS-SiO_(2)稳定泡沫半衰期从912 s缩短至298 s;当合成油与发泡体系质量比为2∶8时,随着沥青质质量分数增大,SDS稳定泡沫半衰期从526 s缩短至171 s,SDS-SiO_(2)稳定泡沫半衰期从660 s缩短至205 s。由于沥青质与SDS和SiO_(2)纳米颗粒在水相中的相互作用,Zeta电位绝对值减小,颗粒表面电荷降低,导致薄液膜两侧界面之间的排斥力减小,从而破坏泡沫稳定性。

Functionalized Graphene Oxide with Bismuth and Titanium Oxide Nanoparticles for Efficiently Removing Formaldehyde from the Air by Photocatalytic Degradation-Adsorption Process

Formaldehyde(HCHO)is formed through the oxidation of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)and can cause human *** oxide and titanium oxide nanoparticles-functionalized nanographene oxide(Bi_(2)O_(3)/TiO_(2)@NGO)were used to rapidly remove the HCHO from the air by a photocatalytic degradation-adsorption process(PC-DAP).The formaldehyde vapor in pure air was generated in a dynamic system within a chamber,and flowed over Bi_(2)O_(3)/TiO_(2)@NGO adsorbent inside a fixed-bed quartz reactor(FBQR)under UV irradiation at optimized conditions(250C).At atmospheric pressure,the flow rate and gas hourly space velocity(GHSV)were adjusted to 300 mL/min and 100-450 L/h,*** radicals of HCHO and nanographene oxide(NGO)were generated through the UV-photochemical process,enhancing the chemical adsorption through the radicals’*** the other hand,the semi-degradation process by catalytic oxidation process converted some HCHO into raw materials of CO_(2)and H_(2)O,while the unconverted HCHO was physically absorbed by ***,the HCHO concentration in the outlet system was measured by gas chromatography with a flame ionization detector(GC-FID)after derivatizing formaldehyde with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine(DNPH)and ***,efficient removal of HCHO from the air,the removal efficiency of more than 95%,was achieved through physical/chemical adsorption and the *** mean removal efficiencies for HCHO with Bi_(2)O_(3)-TiO_(2)@NGO,TiO_(2)@NGO,Bi_(2)O_(3)@NGO,and NGO were 98.7%,73.6%,61.8%,and 11.4%,respectively(n=10,RSD<5%).The methodology was validated by spiking different concentrations of standard HCHO into pure air.

Sintering behavior of ZrB2ceramic with nano-sized SiC dopant was studied. ZrB2-25 vol% nano-sized SiC was selected as the starting mixture to fabricate the composite. The manufacturing process was accomplished at 1800℃ for 5 min under 25 MPa via spark plasma sintering(SPS). The as-sintered sample reached a relative density of 99%. Besides the initial phases, namely ZrB2and SiC, the high-resolution X-ray diffraction(HRXRD) was used to study the formation of an in-situ ZrC phase. The possible chemical interactions during the ZrC phase formation were scrutinized. The microstructure of the composite was studied by the field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM). Elemental analysis through FESEM evaluations revealed the formation of amorphous phases, rich in Zr, C, Si, B, and O elements, which was in harmony with the thermodynamical assessments. TEM studies endorsed the formation of such phases, containing a glassy bed of Si–B–O with ZrC and C islands dispersed therein.

Introduction: Hospital infections prolong patient hospitalization, necessitate additional treatment, increase mortality rate, raise hospital expenses, and even reduce the level of health in the society. The purpose of this research was to study hospital infections in selected hospitals of Qazvin. Methods and Materials: This was an analytic-cross-sectional study. The research population consisted of 25,628 hospitalized patients in the first eight months of 2012 in three selected hospitals of the Qazvin Province. The algorithm of reporting hospital infections, the National Program of Controlling Hospital Infections, and 223 patient files hospitalized due to hospital-acquired infections were used to collect information. The collected information was analyzed using the SPSS V. 17 software;the descriptive statistics was used to analyze the qualitative variables;and the descriptive statistics together with chi-square and t-test were employed for the quantitative variables. Results: The ICU units had the most cases of hospital infections. Respiratory pneumonia and urinary infections topped the list of hospital infections. The most invasive treatments carried out on patients with hospital infections were surgery, urinary catheter, and venous catheter, respectively. More than 50 percent of patients with hospital infections were hospitalized for 2 to 21 days. Results and Conclusions: Because of the high rate of hospital infections, especially in the ICU ward, authorities must give top priority in their plans to designing suitable educational programs to inform hospital staff and patients of hospital infections and to provide suitable resources for dealing with this problem.

Endorheic basins(ENBs) are inland drainage basins allowing no outflow to *** basins in the active mountain chains of the convergence zones are under the influence of compressional tectonic activity and climate *** Zagros Mountains of Iran is one of the youngest convergence zones in which continental-continental collision has *** this paper we hypothesize the formation of ENBs among the Zagros range after the epeirogenic stage in the Late Paleogene-Early *** to tectonic activity and Quaternary climatic conditions,the ENBs pass the transition stage to exorheic,and still,some tectonic depressions are not linked to the evolutionary process of exorheic drainage of *** geometry of the drainage network of Kul and Mond basins in Fars arch shows that 67% of their water gaps are located along the thrusts and transverse basement faults in the east and west of the Fars ***,the Kul and Mond basins form triangles with their sides matching with the edges of the Arabian Plate where the major inherited faults of Arabian plate controls the shape of the Zagros basin and a low strain zone along the Razak fault with lower salt tectonic activity,where the wind gaps are *** ENBs are located in the rainshadow slopes,but the Kul and Mond basins are located in the upwind slopes of rain *** factor and the heavy rains of the basin lead to increase of the erosion potential,destruction of depressions,and floods and consequently,the funnel-shaped gaps have a significant impact on the flood flow.

The precise detection of lysozyme plays a crucial role in early diagnosis of kidney failure in leukemia ***,we designed an electrochemical aptasensor to detect lysozyme using a glassy carbon electrode(GCE)modified with molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2))nanosheets decorated with chitosan(Ch)and gold nanoparticles(Au).In the next steps of aptasensor preparation,aptamer(Apt)strands were immobilized on MoS_(2)-Au-Ch/GCE surface via electrostatic interactions,and bovine serum albumin(BSA)solution was applied to cover unbonded areas on Apt/MoS_(2)-Au-Ch/*** MoS_(2)-Au-Ch nanocomposite can warrant enhanced immobilization of aptamers and strong signals because of wrinkle-like structure and base planes in MoS nanosheets,presence of abundant amino and carboxyl functional groups in chitosan and Au *** pulse voltammetry(DPV)was used to evaluate the electrochemical behavior of the aptasensor at each preparation step and its detection *** developed electrochemical aptasensor based on MoS nanosheets showed remarkable performance for lysozyme detection in the range from 1 pmol/L to 10 nmol/L with a limit of detection of 2.2 fmol/*** proposed aptasensor provided excellent selectivity against BSA,uric acid,cytochrome C,lysozyme and their *** addition,it displayed great stability of about 99.58%of the initial signal upon 21-day *** on human serum and urine samples yielded promising recoveries ranging from 98 to 105%.Hence,MoS_(2)-Au-Ch nanocomposite-based aptasensor could be an outstanding candidate for medical device applications and protein quantification.
