We conducted a comprehensive literature review and meta-analysis study on the efficacy of Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) eradication in preventing metachronous gastric cancer after endoscopic resection among an East Asian population. Our results showed that the eradication of this pathogen significantly reduced the risk of susceptibility to metachronous gastric cancer in these patients. However, based on the available evidence, several factors such as increasing age, severe atrophy in the corpus and antrum, and intestinal metaplasia all may increase the risk of metachronous gastric cancer in H. pylori eradicated patients.

The plantation of non-native species is one of the most expensive ecological restoration measures in arid and semi-arid areas,while its impacts on local communities are largely ignored.This study assessed the rate of change and the dynamic degree of the economic values of ecosystem services related to local conservation(water yield,stocking rate and aesthetic value)and preserving the future(carbon sequestration,soil protection,soil stability and habitat provision)to determine the restoration success of the plantation of non-native species Haloxylon ammodendron(C.A.Mey.)Bunge ex Fenzl(15-and 30-year-old)in parts of arid rangelands of Bardsir region,Kerman Province,Iran.We investigated the impacts of the two plantations on the seven ecosystem services and ecosystem structures(horizontal and vertical structures,vegetation composition and species diversity)based on field sampling and measurements at four sampling sites(i.e.,control,degraded,and 15-and 30-year-old plantation sites)in spring and summer of 2022.The restoration success of the plantation of non-native species was then examined by assessing the rate of change and the dynamic degree of the total economic value of all ecosystem services as well as the rate of change and the dynamic degree of the economic values of ecosystem services for the two groups(local conservation and preserving the future).Although the plantation of non-native species H.ammodendron enormously improved the vertical and horizontal structures of ecosystems,it failed to increase species diversity and richness fully.Further,despite the plantation of non-native species H.ammodendron had significantly increased the economic values of all ecosystem services,it was only quite successful in restoring carbon sequestration.Path analysis showed that plantation age had a significant impact on restoration success directly and indirectly(through changing ecosystem structures and services).The dynamic degree of the economic values of ecosystem services related to local conservation and preserving the

There are various faults in northern and southern margins of Torbat-e-Jam-Fariman plain which show the probability of enormous earthquake in the future.In present study the geomorphic indices contain Asymmetry Function(Af),Sinuosity of mountain front(Smf),Valley floor index(Vf),Hypsometric index(Hi),Mean Axial slope of channel index(MASC)and Drainage Basin Shape(Bs),have been utilized to determine the relative tectonic activity index(IAT)to recognize,eventually,the geo-structural model of the study area.Faults and folds control the geo-structural activities of the study area,and the geomorphic indices are being affected in consequence of their activities.The intensity of these activities is different throughout the plain.There are many geomorphic evidences,related to active transform fault which are detectable all over the study area such as deviated rivers,quaternary sediments transformation,fault traces.Therefore,recognition of geo-structural model of the study area is extremely vital.Field study,then,approved the results of geomorphic indices calculation in determining the geo-structural model of the study area.Results depicted that the geostructural model of the study area is a kind of Horsetail splay form which is in accordance to the relative tectonic activity of the study area.Based on the above mentioned results it can be predicted that the splays are the trail of Neyshabour fault.

Visible light-driven valorization of biomass has recently been a pioneering field for nitrogen-containing heterocyclics syntheses due to its sustainable features.Herein,various aromatic ring-doped g-C_(3)N_(4) nanosheets(Ar-g-C_(3)N_(4);Ar=Py,Pm,Ph)were precisely designed to modulate their intrinsic electronic and band structure,which involves pyridine(Py),pyrimidine(Pm),and benzene(Ph)-doped g-C_(3)N_(4).Photocatalysts(CoPc/Ar-g-C_(3)N_(4)) of cobalt(II)phthalocyanine(CoPc)-fabricated Ar-g-C_(3)N_(4) were then developed for oxidative cyclization of furoin with 1,2-phenylenediamines for syntheses of various biomass-derived quinoxalines under visible-light irradiation.The catalytic activity(in terms of TOFs)of serial CoPc/Ar-g-C_(3)N_(4) samples increased with their transient photocurrents with CoPc/Py-g-C_(3)N_(4) as the most active one.For CoPc/Py-g-C_(3)N_(4),CoPc species functioned as both sensitizer and catalytic sites;while,doped Py led to a narrowed bandgap energy.Mechanism research further demonstrated that O_(2) was activated to superoxide radical(·O_(2)^(-)) by photoexcited high-level-energy electron(HLEE)transfer from Py-g-C_(3)N_(4) to CoPc for the subsequent aerobic oxidation.

The intense increase in the installed capacity of wind farms has required a computationally efficient dynamic equivalent model of wind farms.Various types of wind-farm modelling aim to identify the accuracy and simulation time in the presence of the power system.In this study,dynamic simulation of equivalent models of a sample wind farm,including single-turbine representation,multiple-turbine representation,quasi-multiple-turbine representation and full-turbine representation models,are performed using a doubly-fed induction generator wind turbine model developed in DIgSILENT software.The developed doubly-fed induction generator model in DIgSILENT is intended to simulate inflow wind turbulence for more accurate performance.The wake effects between wind turbines for the fullturbine representation and multiple-turbine representation models have been considered using the Jensen method.The developed model improves the extraction power of the turbine according to the layout of the wind farm.The accuracy of the mentioned methods is evaluated by calculating the output parameters of the wind farm,including active and reactive powers,voltage and instantaneous flicker intensity.The study was carried out on a sample wind farm,which included 39 wind turbines.The simulation results confirm that the computational loads of the single-turbine representation(STR),the multiple-turbine representation and the quasi-multiple-turbine representation are 1/39,1/8 and 1/8 times the full-turbine representation model,respectively.On the other hand,the error of active power(voltage)with respect to the full-turbine representation model is 74.59%(1.31%),43.29%(0.31%)and 7.19%(0.11%)for the STR,the multiple-turbine representation and the quasi-multiple representation,respectively.

Homogeneous crystal nucleation is prone to formation of defects and often experiences heterogeneities,the inferences of which are crucial in processing crystalline materials and controlling their physical properties. It has been debated in literature whether the associated heterogeneities are an integral part of the homogenous nucleation. In this study by integrating a probabilistic approach with large-scale molecular dynamics simulations based on the most advanced high-temperature interatomic potentials, we attempt to address the ambiguity over the sources and mechanisms of heterogeneities in homogenous nucleation during solidification of pure melts. Different classes of structured metals are investigated for this purpose,including face-centered cubic aluminum, body-centered cubic iron, and hexagonal close-packed magnesium. The results reveal, regardless of the element type or the solidified crystal structure, that the densification process of liquid metals is accompanied by short-range orderings of atoms prior to the formation of crystals, controlling the heterogeneities during homogenous nucleation.

Considering snowmelt in mountainous areas as the important source of streamflow,the snow accumulation/melting processes are vital for accurate simulation of the hydrological regimes.The lack of snow-related data and its uncertainties/conceptual ambiguity in snowpack modeling are the different challenges of developing hydroclimatological models.To tackle these challenges,Global Gridded Snow Products(GGSPs)are introduced,which effectively simplify the identification of the spatial characteristics of snow hydrological variables.This research aims to investigate the performance of multisource GGSPs using multi-stage calibration strategies in hydrological modeling.The used GGSPs were Snow-Covered Area(SCA)and Snow Water Equivalent(SWE),implemented individually or jointly to calibrate an appropriate water balance model.The study area was a mountainous watershed located in Western Iran with a considerable contribution of snowmelt to the generated streamflow.The results showed that using GGSPs as complementary information in the calibration process,besides streamflow time series,could improve the modeling accuracy compared to the conventional calibration,which is only based on streamflow data.The SCA with NSE,KGE,and RMSE values varying within the ranges of 0.47–0.57,0.54–0.65,and 4–6.88,respectively,outperformed the SWE with the corresponding metrics of 0.36–0.59,0.47–0.60,and 5.22–7.46,respectively,in simulating the total streamflow of the watershed.In addition to the superiority of the SCA over SWE,the twostage calibration strategy reduced the number of optimized parameters in each stage and the dependency of internal processes on the streamflow and improved the accuracy of the results compared with the conventional calibration strategy.On the other hand,the consistent contribution of snowmelt to the total generated streamflow(ranging from 0.9 to 1.47)and the ratio of snow melting to snowfall(ranging from 0.925 to 1.041)in different calibration strategies and models resulted in a reliable simulation of the model.

The anthropogenic CO_(2) emission is contributed to the rapid increase in CO_(2) concentration.In the current study the anthropogenic CO_(2) emission in the Middle East(ME)is investigated using 6 years columnaveraged CO_(2) dry air mole fraction(XCO_(2))observation from Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2(OCO-2)satellite.In this way,the XCO_(2) anomaly(DXCO_(2))as the detrended and deseasonalized term of OCO-2XCO_(2) product,was computed and compared to provide the direct spacebased anthropogenic CO_(2) emission monitoring.As a result,the high positive and negative DXCO_(2) values have corresponded to the major sources such as oil and gas industries,and growing seasons over ME,respectively.Consequently,the Open-source Data Inventory for Anthropogenic CO_(2)(ODIAC)emission and the gross primary productivity(GPP)were utilized in exploring the DXCO_(2) relation with human and natural driving factors.The results showed the capability of DXCO_(2) maps in detecting CO_(2) emission fluctuations in defined periods were detectible in daily to annual periods.The simplicity and accuracy of the method in detecting the man-made and natural driving factors including the main industrial areas,megacities,or local changes due to COVID-19 pandemic or geopolitical situations as well as the vegetation absorption and biomass burning is the key point that provides the environmental managers and policymakers with valuable and accessible information to control and ultimately reduce the CO_(2) emission over critical regions.
