Infertility is experienced by 8%–12%of adults in their reproductive period globally and has become a prevalent concern.Besides routine therapeutic methods,stem cells are rapidly being examined as viable alternative therapies in regenerative medicine and translational investigation.Remarkable progress has been made in understanding the biology and purpose of stem cells.The affected pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs)and mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)are further studied for their possible use in reproductive medicine,particularly for infertility induced by premature ovarian insufficiency and azoospermia.Accordingly,this study discusses current developments in the use of some kinds of MSCs such as adipose-derived stem cells,bone marrow stromal cells,umbilical cord MSCs,and menstrual blood MSCs.These methods have been used to manage ovarian and uterine disorders,and each technique presents a novel method for the therapy of infertility.

In this work,we developed and implemented a voice control algorithm to steer smart robotic wheelchairs(SRW)using the neural network technique.This technique used a network in network(NIN)and long shortterm memory(LSTM)structure integrated with a built-in voice recognition algorithm.An Android Smartphone application was designed and configured with the proposed method.A Wi-Fi hotspot was used to connect the software and hardware components of the system in an offline mode.To operate and guide SRW,the design technique proposed employing five voice commands(yes,no,left,right,no,and stop)via the Raspberry Pi and DC motors.Ten native Arabic speakers trained and validated an English speech corpus to determine the method’s overall effectiveness.The design method of SRW was evaluated in both indoor and outdoor environments in order to determine its time response and performance.The results showed that the accuracy rate for the system reached 98.2%for the five-voice commends in classifying voices accurately.Another interesting finding from the real-time test was that the root-mean-square deviation(RMSD)for indoor/outdoor maneuvering nodes was 2.2∗10–5(for latitude),while that for longitude coordinates was a whopping 2.4∗10–5(for latitude).

Effects of porous material on transient natural convection heat transfer of nano-fluids inside a triangular chamber

This study numerically investigates the impact of porous materials,nano-particle types,and their concentrations on transient natural convection heat transfer of nano-fluid inside a porous chamber with a triangular section.The governing equations of the two-phase mixture model are separated on the computational domain and solved using the Finite Volume Method,taking into account the Darcy–Brinkman model for porous medium.It was observed that convection heat transfer inside the triangular chamber consists of three stages named initial,transient,and semi-steady.The features of each step are provided in detail.The results suggested that the use of a hybrid nano-fluid(water/aluminum oxide-cooper)inside a porous glass material and an increase in volume fraction of nano-particles have adverse effects on heat transfer rate.In contrast,as the nano-particle volume fraction of the single nano-fluid(water/aluminum oxide)inside the chamber increased,convection heat transfer rate improved.At the same time,it was observed that the use of both nano-fluids(single and hybrid)in the porous environment of the aluminum foam could improve convection.

Background Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has diferent manifestations in pediatric cases.It is assumed that they might present more gastrointestinal symptoms with a diferent viral shedding pattern in gastrointestinal samples.In this systematic review and meta-analysis,we aimed to evaluate the viral shedding pattern in gastrointestinal specimens of children with COVID-19.Methods We searched all published studies in English language in PubMed,Web of Science,and Scopus,up to date as of October 2021.Our search included the term"severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2,COVID-19,SARS-CoV-2,novel coronavirus,or coronavirus;and shed,excrete,secret,or carriage;and stool or rectal;and children or pediatrics".We included studies evaluating SARS-CoV-2 shedding in gastrointestinal specimens,including rectal swabs and stool samples of children with COVID-19 infection.We excluded duplicated data,case reports,and studies without original data.Results Twelve studies met the eligibility criteria for the qualitative synthesis,10 of which were included in the meta-analysis.The pooled prevalence of gastrointestinal severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)RNA in children with COVID-19 was 86%(95%confdence interval 73%–96%,I 2=62.28%).After respiratory specimen had become negative,72%(43/60)had persistent shedding in gastrointestinal specimens.The gastrointestinal RNA had a positive test result for more than 70 days after symptoms onset.Conclusions Gastrointestinal shedding of SARS-CoV-2 might occur in a substantial portion of children and might persist long after negative respiratory testing.Further research is recommended to fnd the role of SARS-CoV-2 gastrointestinal shedding in transmission in children.

Architects have been following nature in their constructions for a long time.Observations of nature reveal that it has many highly developed structures that provide scientists and engineers with a lot of useful clues for creating more efficient structures and building forms.Therefore,revealing systematic thinking about natural species is a crucial requirement for today’s buildings.A software analysis method was used to design four modules in the roof structure of the Iranian University of Science and Technology’s exhibition.The roof structure is based on the Voronax structure,which is a relaxed form of Voronoi,which is seen in the structures of many natural creatures.They were analyzed in terms of optimization and structural simulation using Grasshopper plugins and tools by taking into account Von Mises stress in the structural design.The results indicated that by increasing the density of Voronax cells in the areas with high Von Mises stress concentration,a more efficient structure could be achieved in terms of load-bearing and designing predefined free-form roof structures.By analyzing predefined roof structures in an optimum way,the study took a step toward optimizing these kinds of structures.

The tight-binding Harrison model and Green＇s function approach have been utilized in order to investigate the contribution of hybridized orbitals in the electronic density of states（DOS） and electronic heat capacity（EHC） for four hydrogenated structures, including monolayer chair-like, table-like, bilayer AA- and finally AB-stacked graphene. After hydrogenation, monolayer graphene and bilayer graphene are behave as semiconducting systems owning a wide direct band gap and this means that all orbitals have several states around the Fermi level. The energy gap in DOS and Schottky anomaly in EHC curves of these structures are compared together illustrating the maximum and minimum band gaps are appear for monolayer chair-like and bilayer AA-stacked graphane, respectively. In spite of these, our findings show that the maximum and minimum values of Schottky anomaly appear for hydrogenated bilayer AA-stacked and monolayer table-like configurations, respectively.

The intense increase in the installed capacity of wind farms has required a computationally efficient dynamic equivalent model of wind farms.Various types of wind-farm modelling aim to identify the accuracy and simulation time in the presence of the power system.In this study,dynamic simulation of equivalent models of a sample wind farm,including single-turbine representation,multiple-turbine representation,quasi-multiple-turbine representation and full-turbine representation models,are performed using a doubly-fed induction generator wind turbine model developed in DIgSILENT software.The developed doubly-fed induction generator model in DIgSILENT is intended to simulate inflow wind turbulence for more accurate performance.The wake effects between wind turbines for the fullturbine representation and multiple-turbine representation models have been considered using the Jensen method.The developed model improves the extraction power of the turbine according to the layout of the wind farm.The accuracy of the mentioned methods is evaluated by calculating the output parameters of the wind farm,including active and reactive powers,voltage and instantaneous flicker intensity.The study was carried out on a sample wind farm,which included 39 wind turbines.The simulation results confirm that the computational loads of the single-turbine representation(STR),the multiple-turbine representation and the quasi-multiple-turbine representation are 1/39,1/8 and 1/8 times the full-turbine representation model,respectively.On the other hand,the error of active power(voltage)with respect to the full-turbine representation model is 74.59%(1.31%),43.29%(0.31%)and 7.19%(0.11%)for the STR,the multiple-turbine representation and the quasi-multiple representation,respectively.

This work investigates the problem of controller design for the inverters in an islanded microgrid.Robust-synthesis controllers and local droop controllers are designed to regulate the output voltages of inverters and share power among them,respectively.The designed controllers alleviate the need for additional sensors to measure the states of the system by relying only on output feedback.It is shown that the designed-synthesis controller properly damps resonant oscillations,and its performance is robust to the control-loop time delay and parameter uncertainties.The stability of a droop-controlled islanded microgrid including multiple distributed generation(DG)units is analyzed by linearizing the nonlinear power flow model around the nominal operating point and applying theorems from linear algebra.It is indicated that the droop controller stabilizes the microgrid system with dominantly inductive tie-line impedances for all values of resistive-inductive loads,while for the case of resistive-capacitive loads the stability is conditioned on an upper bound on the load susceptances.The robust performance of the designed-synthesis controller is studied analytically,compared with the similar analysis in an control(benchmark)framework,and verified by simulations for a four DG benchmark microgrid.Furthermore,the robustness of the droop controllers is analyzed by Monte Carlo simulations in the presence of local voltage fluctuations and phase differences among neighboring DGs.

In this study,a comprehensive parametric analysis was performed on non-uniform excitation of V-shaped topography using the boundary element method in time domain.For this purpose,wave scattering analysis was carried out on a topography subjected to the SV-wave for different predominant frequencies and shape ratios.Based on the numerical results,new coherence and time delay functions are proposed to generate non-uniform ground motion for topographic irregularities.The efficiency and accuracy of the proposed functions for real engineering problems are indicated by comparison with observations reported in previous literature.
